I went as a child, I took my sons there and I even got to take my granddaughters there. How sad that it is closed.

I was at Santa Land in 1997, and it had a few rides, a petting zoo, and gift shops selling Christmas decorations.

I visited today with a Gold Season Pass and had a great overall experience. The only downside was…read morethe number of bees around, but it didn't take away too much from the day. I arrived between 1 and 2 in the afternoon and started with Batman, which is a very fun coaster. The restraints felt extremely comfortable and secure. It can leave you a little dizzy, but it is definitely worth riding. After walking around for a bit, I made my way to Wicked Cyclone. The lines were very long, but if you come to the park often, you know which rides are worth the wait. I spent about two hours in line, and it ended up being my favorite ride of the day. Afterwards, I grabbed some ice cream near the Starbucks at the entrance. It was decent, though a bit pricey. Two cups came out to about twenty five dollars even with the season pass discount. Next, I headed to Gotham City Gauntlet and then Supergirl Sky Flyer, both of which had very short lines. After that, I rode Scream, which only had about a twenty minute wait and is another one of my favorites. I then went back toward the Batman area to ride Riddler Revenge. It does jolt your head around a bit, but it was not too bad, and the wait time was reasonable. To finish the day, I tried the new coaster Quantum Accelerator. It may not look very intense, but for a family coaster it is surprisingly good. It is very fast, has some nice airtime, and features sharp yet smooth turns that make it feel unique. Unfortunately, Superman was closed during my visit. Overall, I have been coming to this park every summer, and it remains one of the best out there, especially if you enjoy classic coasters.

This classic wooden coaster has history -- real Riverside Park DNA -- and that alone gives it a certain charm you can't manufacture. But once you get past the sentimental value, the cracks start to show. The biggest issue is the line experience, or honestly, the lack of one. There's no staff presence helping guests form or maintain any kind of organized queue, so the line turns into a free‑for‑all. People cutting, groups merging, confusion everywhere -- it takes away from the fun before you even reach the station. And speaking of the station, the ride itself feels like it's running on the bare minimum. For an older coaster, you expect a little rattle, but this feels more like low maintenance than vintage charm. Thunderbolt deserves better upkeep, especially given its legacy at the park. At the end of the day, the nostalgia is notable -- even special -- but the overall experience doesn't match the potential. With some attention to operations and maintenance, this could easily climb back into must‑ride territory. Hold on to your seats and try to enjoy

The exhibit is an interactive museum of sorts with great artifacts from the Harry Potter films. It is VERY comprehensive and covers the Fantastic Beasts canon, also. Prepare to spend a good bit of time here enjoying playing a part in it and reading up on fascinating Potter lore! We finished it off with two cups of butter-beer. (We definitely could've skipped that part, as it really sucked) If you're a Potterphile, def don't miss this traveling opportunity to board the Hogwarts Express! Mischief managed!

If you're not able to make it to England or Japan to take those omg-level tours at the studios,…read morethis is definitely something you'd enjoy--with the caveats that you A) like Harry Potter a decent bit and B) aren't deterred by JKR's politics. I fall into the "I mean I don't love Harry Potter and I haven't read the books but I've seen all of the movies multiple times and one of my best friends is obsessed with it" category. So last year, my friend, who turned 30, made it a point that she wanted to *RE-visit* (not visit for the first time) the Harry Potter Studio Tour when in England for her birthday. Being someone who falls into the category I do, I definitely was amazed with that tour and was very glad to have done it, but it is not a place I would visit again (unless I have children who want to visit it and it's still running). So when I met this same friend in Boston this last weekend (our first trip together since the UK trip), I wasn't absolutely thrilled to be spending another decent amount of a day going to another Harry Potter experience. But I love my friend, so I gave it a chance. Being someone who falls into the above category, I say this is a wow-level experience. I quickly realized that this exhibition is a watered-down version of the studio tour, at a SIGNIFICANTLY more affordable price and reasonable location, so I could see where many people will find it interesting and entertaining. Being someone who has already been to the studio tour in England, and if I wasn't trying to give a fair review in the eyes of someone who hasn't been, I would rate this with 3 stars. If you fall into the same category that I do, and you've been to the studio tour, do not waste your time here. The employees are friendly, but there is no new information to learn here, the merchandise is second-rate compared to the studio tour, and there are some kinks they need to work through with the bracelet technology. I hate to burst anyone's magical bubble, but this really just seems like another money grab from WB. So why four stars? Bring your HP-obsessed loved ones and they will enjoy it. Hell, they'd probably enjoy standing in a warehouse with nothing but some screens and a Harry Potter sign outside if they were promised some pictures of themselves posing with wands. Oh...wait a minute...
