Two to-go heaping Caribbean entrees with rice & beans, and a side of fried plantains, for $14.
    Bryan J.

Two entrees for $12 after 5p is quite a value! With a side of fried plantains it was only $14. It was one choice each of a filling Dominican-forward Caribbean-style stewed pork or chicken, with choice of rice and beans. What makes it 5-stars when it's buffet cafeteria-style food and some textures were perfect while others a touch dry? When the cost for different menu items isn't really clear and you gotta ask? When they close early at 7p? It's not enough to say, "Well it IS two heaping portions for $12! What do you expect?!" For us the really special thing was the incredible welcome from all three staff members helping serve us and check us out to-go. They offered us to taste-sample anything that we were considering notwithstanding us arriving 20 minutes before closing. They were patient and informative. Noticing that we were new visitors, they welcomed us to Florida and chit-chatted about our Orlando-area travel with their revolving-with-the-seasons-and-ingredients menu. Santiago's is a place that feeds people wholesomely, fairly, and with friendship. This is why soul food is called soul food. They are the kind of small eatery that helps hold a community together.

Being my lazy self I've always ordered delivery from Uber Eats multiple times and enjoyed the Authentic Latin food EVERY time. Finally ventured out to the establishment and encountered a buffet-style setup. The fresh food items aren't labeled but have no fear because they will be able to let you know. Definitely love the variety, generous portions, and great price! Random Note: I thought it was neat when ordering to go they'll wrap the box in saran wrap to help prevent messy spills!

This was actually a surprise. The restaurant is located right off the main road. Drive into the shopping area and it's right on a corner lot. Food is pretty typical of a Dominican restaurant in NYC. Prices are very good for the amount of food that you get. Lots of options available and fresh. The mofongo, the chicharron, the ensalada de lambi were all great. Only thing I wished they had: was family combos. So when I go there I say, give me combo #1 and just get it done. Keep up the great work.

I ordered the small soup. It had so much meat and vegetables in it. It was just what I needed.

Great meal. We have ordered delivery a couple of times but we dined in for the first time. Food is cafeteria style and plenty of choices. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. Portions are HUGE and prices are great and the food is delicious.

This place is incredible, so glad I found it by accident. It's delicious authentic DR food. People are so nice, food is fresh, huge portions and the taste is incredible. You can't beat the price. I will always make sure to stop by here. They have so much more to offer, couldn't get a photo.

So glad that we tried this place based on just a few reviews (i believe thatit is very new). I love authentic Puerto Rican and similar food, and when I faced the lineup of wonder at Santiago's (see pictures) I did not know what to do. It all looked delicious. Arroz con habichuela, arroz con gandules (rice and beans/pigeon peas). Maduros (sweet plantains). Chicharrones - fried pork bellies. Beef and chicken Empanadas. Various stews and soups. Avocado salad looked delicious but I was over burdened by the time I reached the salads. My favorite was the mofongo (which is primarily mashed plantain, spices, garlic, broth, pork) must try it if you've never - and get it with caldo de pollo (chicken broth). No plot twists in this review- it was all as good as it looked. I ate way too much...and no regrets. Good prices. Clean, plenty of tables. Super friendly service. Can't wait to return.

We immediately informed our waiter, who then brought out the manager. She apologized and took the dessert back to the kitchen. At that point, I expected a replacement dessert or some effort to make the situation right. Instead, the manager returned only to explain that she had inspected the kitchen staff and confirmed they were all wearing hair coverings. While I understand she was trying to address the concern, that response completely missed the point of customer service and recovery. One poor management interaction can change the entire experience. Unfortunately, because of how this situation was handled, I have to give this restaurant 1 star.

My neices both hot strawberry daiquiris - kid appropriate, of course the LOVED them I got a new fish, the Rasta Pasta which was heaven. Perfect blend of flavor and spice, the shrimp was so fresh, nothing overcooked, snd Joe even grated fresh parmesan cheese over it to my satisfaction. My one niece got chicken tenders, which I did not try, but the other one got the coconut shrimp which she said were delicious. My other sister enjoyed a burger which she said was fantastic. Our drinks never went more than half empty, Joe was there to fill them and overall it was such an amazing afternoon. It makes me very sad that this franchise will be closing their doors at the end of the year.
