Came for the first time for dinner tonight for Bite30. This restaurant is located at the promenade so it can be tricky to.navigste parking and where the restaurant is. It's a large restaurant and the inside is well decorated. The staff all seemed to be native Spanish speakers and at times they seemed to not understand what we asked. Although they were very nice, service was somewhat slow especially towards the end when we waited to pay our bill. The food was all pretty good though we especially liked the ropa vieja and roasted pork which came in fairly large portions. There were also lots of flavor options for the mojito though they would only honor happy hour at the bar. We didn't love the desserts. Many people seemed to be there celebrating birthdays. There was lots of visual stimulation with strobe lights and a big TV playing music videos. There also was occasionally a man playing piano in the middle of the room. read more

On today, my 48th birthday, I visited with my father in law and husband, with a 4pm reservation. I should have taken the cue from all the empty tables and immediately turned around, but, I LOVE Gloria Estefan and wanted to patronize her establishment. I ordered the steak palomilla. It arrived with raw onions on top, barely lukewarm. The 2 bites I took were flavorful, but it was just too cold to actually enjoy. Understanding that cold food does not digest well for me, (and usually leads to excruciating indigestion that lasts for hours) I politely asked them to warm it up. They sent back a completely different, smaller portion. It was super thin, cold, with less flavor, incredibly dry on the inside, on a warm plate, that steamed. I took one bite and realized they'd done a switcheroo. The manager(?) lied and said it was the same thing (it definitely wasn't), and this portion was even colder than the last. The server rolled her eyes when I asked for a little mojo sauce to salvage the situation. At that point, I didn't dare ask for salt and pepper. We left and now I'm still hungry and looking for something else to eat and celebrate a day that SHOULD have been special. Oh yeah...they knew it was my birthday, so they cut a strawberry in half, and stuck a candle in it. I give it 1/64 of a star. read more

I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant today around 4 PM on May 5. My wife noticed a hair in the dessert that was served to us. We immediately informed our waiter, who then brought out the manager. She apologized and took the dessert back to the kitchen. At that point, I expected a replacement dessert or some effort to make the situation right. Instead, the manager returned only to explain that she had inspected the kitchen staff and confirmed they were all wearing hair coverings. While I understand she was trying to address the concern, that response completely missed the point of customer service and recovery. One poor management interaction can change the entire experience. Unfortunately, because of how this situation was handled, I have to give this restaurant 1 star. read more

Gave estefans kitchen one last chance. The food was so salty. The service was horrible horrible. Why not offer the client with something different. My drink was watery and I was not even offered a refill on my soda. Paying $5 for a soda is ridiculous with no refill. I had to ask for a to go soda. Management doesn't care at all either. But since gratuity is I figured even for a solo person that's why they do not care. The appetizer I had was the sweet plantains with bacon and the bacon was burnt. The tops vieja extremely salty I ended up eating just the rice from my entree and paid $55. It's an ultimate disappointment. To paid that much. The only good thing was the flan that's it. Hidden Jem! Visited with my colleagues and boy was this place a vibe! Located within Margaritaville, Estefan's Kitchen provided my group with a memorable experience. We ate good, danced and made friends. Upon parking, which was plentiful we were greeted with an aroma that excited our tastebud and music playing that made you want to do a happy dance. There is a dj in the street area/courtyard which seemed like a part of Margaritaville entertainment but it set the tone for Estefan's because when we got inside the restaurant the music was jumping in there. There was a DJ inside playing music from every genre. There were not many people inside however, I attribute that to being 7pm on Sunday in an area where there are PLENTY of places to dine. To our advantage, we got seated quickly without a reservation.Ana our server was fast and attentive. Now, our food was 10 out of 10!! We ordered apps for the table so we all could try something different. The winners for me were the garlic shrimp and fried pork - the Latin flavors were on point. For dinner I ordered the Ropa Vieja, slow cooked shredded beef with a side of white rice. Delicious! I was able to taste the Chino Cubano rice and Avocado Salad both were amazing as well. After dinner, my colleagues ordered drinks and then we danced. Actually, we were dancing and eating the whole time! Lol. WOW! What an amazing night we had celebrating my friend's 50th birthday. The music and dance floor was 10/10! Drinks and food were fabulous with huge portions and very fresh. Be ready for the music to be very loud during your whole dinner, but the energy will get you on your feet. Order the Paella and plan on being able to share with more than 2 people! One of my favorite restaurants was Bongos in Disney Springs, and I was thrilled to hear the owners opened this new restaurant. Our server Ana was excellent and so friendly. When I tried my husband's cocktail, she came over to make sure everything was ok with the drinks which was thoughtful. Our food was delicious and so full of flavor. I ordered the Palomilla steak and my husband had the roasted shredded pork. Everything was well seasoned and cooked perfectly. The piano singer was great to listen to even though we don't speak Spanish. The whole restaurant is beautiful and very clean. I would love to come back the next time I'm in the area. read more

That wasn't the first time we went to Estefan. I think at margaritaville area, it's the fanciest place to go. But it's not all dream right? Was shocked when I ordered an draft and they don't have a any draft, that's so sad. So instead we ordered some drinks (for me was pricey as I didn't like it, if I liked was ok) But said that, ordered some coke (really watery), but we went there to meet some friends from another country, so they liked the atmosphere, they do have (I think manager, an old man (if I can say like that) that it's really charismatic, always asking if everything was ok with a big smile in his face. The food it's a must, I always eat the Vaca loka (shredded beef) comes with rice an Cuban beans that were so tasty. The pulled pork it's also amazing. The food was good, although a little overpriced. The only disappointing part of our visit was my brother's birthday celebration. I had asked if they could bring out a little something for his birthday, and they brought out half a strawberry with a little chocolate drizzle. What made it especially disappointing was that multiple birthday tables around us received full desserts with large sparkler candles. Our party spent over $400 before tip, so we were just hoping for the same experience. We were also surprised that such a high end restaurant had a very limited drink selection and didn't offer some simple drinks we asked about that were promoted on their menu. From check in to check out, we had a lovely time, with attentive service, enjoyable classic Cuban music, and delicious food. My husband had a mojito, and I had a classic daiquiri. Both were very tasty. Get the better rum, not the well rum. The kids loved being able to order fancy mocktails. We started with croquetas de jamon. Delicious and crispy. I had the masitas de puerco. They were some of the best I've ever had. They came with a side of mashed yucca and moro rice. Usually moro rice is very dry, but theirs was perfect. I did not try anyone else's food, but everyone was very happy with their meal. All in all, if you're in the area, Estefan is a great place for a nice meal. Easter Sunday, we went for lunch, and it took about 5 to 10 minutes for our server to take our order. We had order the papa rellena appetizer and two Cesar salads. The papa rellena were smaller than a golf ball, very pasty. Hardly any meat inside and didn't taste that great. Most likely frozen. Not freshly made. Then we received our pathetic looking Cesar salad. Whoever prepared this salad removed all the greens and left us with the ribs of the Romain. We may have had a few green short leafs at the bottom the dish. I brought it the servers attention. She said that she mentioned to the person who prepared the salad to chop up the romaine, and their response was "they are cutting back/ cutting corners. For such a high end restaurant Cuban cuisine, and with the name "Estefan", they should not be cutting back and have better quality food and service. Then automatically charging a 20% gratuity. I was SO excited to try Estefan Kitchen at Sunset Walk because I absolutely loved Bongos back in the Disney Springs days. I was hoping for that same fun music, dancing, high-energy Latin vibe... and they definitely brought the party. Unfortunately, they also brought the volume ALL the way up. It was so loud at our table that we genuinely couldn't have a conversation. Not "fun lively loud" -- more like "yelling across the table and still not hearing each other." Even our waitress (who was very sweet) was struggling to hear us, which led to parts of our order being entered incorrectly. When the food finally came out, it was another letdown -- nothing was hot. For a place with such a festive atmosphere and higher price point, that was really disappointing. I wanted to love this place for the nostalgia and the energy, but between the noise level, order mix-ups, and lukewarm food, the experience just didn't live up to what Bongos used to be. We were over charged and when informed the bar about the advertised special they didn't take responsibility and only offered a return. This was an absolutely horrible experience one we will never forget. The service provided by our server, Paula, was unacceptable from start to finish. It was so poor that I requested the automatic 20% gratuity be removed. That speaks for itself. The food was nowhere near worth the prices being charged. The chicken inside the empanadas had a strange, plastic-like taste that was completely off-putting. On top of that, when I asked to order a sandwich, Paula rudely informed me in a sharp and dismissive tone that I was not allowed to order from that section of the menu. There is no excuse for that level of service or quality. Extremely disappointing. Kids burger was fine, but our server was great in that she was able to fulfill my son's request for extra pickles on the side and subbed veggies for the French fries. We were really looking forward to hosting a 70th birthday celebration here, but unfortunately the experience trying to book a reservation was extremely frustrating. We made multiple attempts to contact the restaurant over several days with no response. My sister even drove 45 minutes to speak with someone in person. She was apologized to directly and told someone would follow up with a call which they did, days later. We eventually spoke to someone and then they never followed through to send us a link to pay a deposit. For an important family milestone, the lack of communication and follow-through made it terrible experience, I cant imagine the experience inside the restaurant. I don't usually leave reviews like this, but I hope this helps management understand how much this impacted our experience and how important timely communication is when customers are planning special events. We celebrated my sister-in-law's birthday at Estefan Kitchen with a huge party of 20, and the experience was a mix of highs and lows. The food was absolutely delicious, and the entertainment was so fun--it really made the evening feel festive and perfect for a birthday celebration. Keep in mind, though, it can get pretty loud during the performances, so if you're looking for a quiet dinner, this might not be the place. Service was a bit hit or miss. Half of our table had amazing service from start to finish, but the other half wasn't so lucky. Their server dropped the ball, bringing out wet naps instead of sugar packets for coffee, and making them wait nearly 30 minutes just to get the check. It was disappointing, especially since the rest of the service was so great. We had a great experience. It's beautiful with a great indoor/outdoor bar area and a Latin dance show or bands on the weekend. The churrasco steak was a star and the Masitas Pereco was very nice but just a little dry. Ground beef empanadas were great and the drinks were strong.
