I went for brunch after hearing they brought back the crab legs. IMO brunch quality has gone down the drain at the Altamonte location. I haven't been to the others in years... since COVID. My bf enjoyed but I was not impressed. I was kinda disappointed I used to love to go here with my friends and enjoy bottomless brunch. The best part was the mimosas. There's no longer a carving station and they had crockpots everywhere. I don't remember that being my experience in the past. We ordered steak and it was terrible. It was tiny ! We couldn't even chew it. It was too fatty. Breakfast tacos could've been better the tortillas weren't good maybe they just need to stop doing the brunch. The seating area outside looked nice. I liked the cozy section we were in on the inside. Jamarcus (waiter) was nice and customer service at the front was nice but the food was disappointing. The crab legs were not looking as good as I remember. It just seems thrown together. Warm salad, warm deviled eggs... I'll pass !!! The shrimp and grits were hot and fresh but the shrimp were all gone when we first got there. Grits were kinda too thick. They may have not been hot enough in the crockpot. A wonderful first time experience here. Sitting outside it felt like you were still in the restaurant and not on a sidewalk. Since this place seems to be somewhat tucked in from others -- meaning, you are probably never going to drive by it, this is yet another bonus. Service was perfect and though tapas isn't new to me, a quick refresher on how they do it is always welcome. Across the board everything at the table was great -- the Spicy Shrimp Bisque - shrimp, cream, tomato paste, cayenne pepper was tasty, spicy, but not too much so. The "Greek" - iceberg, kalamatas, feta, red onions, tomatoes, cucumbers, pepperoncini's, lemon caper vinaigrette was a nice take on a salad well visited elsewhere. The Trio - traditional hummus, roasted red pepper hummus, black olive tapenade, pita bread was very filling. The Yellowfin Tuna Ceviche - spicy citrus juice, avocado, mango, red onion, cilantro was great. The Roman Meatballs - angel hair pasta, marinara were very light on the marinara part, but I still enjoyed them. Brunch with the girls was everything! Unlimited sangria and mimosas -- yes please! My fave was the white sangria, but we tried them all (for research purposes, of course ). The unlimited crab legs were a total win, and the shrimp & grits were absolute fire. The steak cooked to order was tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. I am so lucky to have Santiago's in my neighborhood! Delicious, sexy tapas in a moody vibey atmosphere. Don't forget the incredible sangria and great wine list! This is a very cute and sophisticated place. Ambiance in the middle of the day is relaxing and welcoming. Our waiter Chirs was a delight, he was super happy and considerate when it comes to food sensitivities, they have developed gluten free menu. Food was delicious, my favorite is the Lamb chops, so tender and devine, meat melted while eating it. Their hummus was also delicious, served with pita bread and cucumbers for our gluten free friend. Their dates are little less interesting but still delicious, there is much room for improvement in presentation and plate planning but delicious. Overall all food was good, however for the price range and type of food i believe it need a better plating and presentation. Their deserts are delicious as well, we had bread pudding and crepes. I don't know that i would go out of my way to go back, but it is a decent place to take your coworkers to. P.S. So I actually came here late last year and reserved one of their rooms for a retirement party I threw for my assistant. She was moving onto the next phase in her life, and we sent her off with a bang with coworkers past and present. It wasn't anything crazy. Maybe 25 people. Thank you, whatever your name was, you magnificent person you. But anyway, now onto the review. Ambiance was good. It was built into a strip mall, and the inside was vaguely Spanish décor. No issues with that. The back room we were in was cozy and right next to the kitchen. And the food. Oh my goodness, the food. The menu is pretty small, but that's good. Do a few things perfectly rather than many things mediocrely. We ordered a ton of stuff, and even sampled more stuff from the others we were with. I couldn't possibly list everything out, so I'll just list some highlights. Patatas Bravas (fried potatoes, olives, capers, tomatoes, parmesan, chipotle aioli). A twist from the classic form I've seen it in before, but still very unctuous and zingy. The texture and nuttiness from the parmesan was interesting and lovely. There was a special that night that was a bao bun. Very quaint and fun at a place like Santiago's, and the bao was very soft and the Nashville hot chicken inside was fried to a crispy perfection. Dates (goat cheese filled, prosciutto wrapped). Just lovely. You Must order these. Probably the best single bite in the whole restaurant. Beef Short Ribs (cherry-hoisin glazed, orange-miso slaw). Wowww. Best singular dish of the evening for me. Very tender and deep with hoisin flavor, with the orangey slaw cutting through it with a pop of acid. Very well constructed. I ate two of them. Overall, after experience the brunch menu at the other Santiago's, I was very excited to see their dinner offerings, and I was not disappointed. We had one server take care of our party of about 20. Not sure if that was her choice or not, but she did a great job and we made sure we tipped well. Food was amazing. Small plates are my favorite, because you can order a lot and not get stuffed. You can also share with the people next to you. It's communal and nice. Cons: Some of the meatier orders are a little pricey. Don't get me wrong, they're still worth it, because of the quantity and quality, but it did price some of us out of those options. Their empanadas, flatbread, and chicken skewers were all wonderful, but the stew missed the mark. The concept was great, but it was really too salty to eat. The beauty of a tapas reastaurant is that one dish doesn't make or break a meal, but I do feel like every time I visit there's just one plate that misses the mark. I came with a group of 8 to enjoy the $48 all-inclusive brunch (2 hour limit), and we definitely got our moneys worth. I love when unlimited food offerings don't penalize/charge you for unfinished food. I had about 4-5 sangrias, and they were decently strong. The brunch tapas come out as they are being prepared. My only complaints were some foods took MUCH longer than others (i.e. we ordered some pastries as one of our first foods items and it came out as our very last food item like an hour and a half later.. but there was a steady flow of food throughout our brunch) and that I thought the brunch foods were going to be more of a Hispanic variety since it's a tapas place. My fav brunch dishes were the prime rib and the candied bacon (not pictured because I devoured it). Overall, great experience! The outdoor seating leaves a bit to be desired. It's nice outside but it's never fun sitting next to a bunch of cars and a chain smoker. I wish we sat inside because it is very cute inside. The food was really good. We loved every dish except the one I most looked forward to, which was a special anyway. The shrimp and grits had amazing underlying flavor but the salt was so overpowering that I couldn't touch it. Shrimp was also a bit overcooked but those grits were phenomenal. The stuffed dates were also super tiny - they could have used some more stuffing and possibly more meat to hold them together after the extra stuffing. Ultimately a bit too sweet since they were barely stuffed due to being so tiny. Our server was nice but really not that attentive. We went on a Friday night and it wasn't that busy, but he was pretty sparse in his visits. Overall we really enjoyed the food and sangria, but some pieces could be improved. Service was quick and kind, we were seated rather quickly for a weekend mid-afternoon around 5PM to 6PM in a clean booth that was romantic and secluded for the most part to allow some small chitchat while sampling the menu. The sangria was a delicious pairing with our smattering of small dishes. The wedge salad was something I was unsure of at first as I've not had a similar dish at another restaurant, but the blue cheese dressing and bacon crumbles made for a wonderful combo and easy dish to split for two. The croquettas were an additional delight with the chive spread, and the mini quesadillas with mango salsa inspired me to try my own hand at making mango salsa the next day at home. So many rich flavors, hard to think about which dish we liked more. Again, a perfect place for a fancy date night with mostly quiet ambiance and beautiful spread of smaller dishes. We had a 5:30pm reservation, which worked out perfectly with their happy hour (3-6pm daily). The restaurant was quiet, and the service was friendly and helpful. We ordered several small plates: the Shrimp-n-Grits were super flavorful, the Gaucho Beef Empanadas were perfectly crisp, and the Tomato & Basil Bruschetta, Shrimp & Chorizo, and Croquettas were all delicious. The true highlights were the Beef Short Ribs and the Smash Burger Taco, both were amazing. For dessert, we went with our server's favorites: the bread pudding and the donuts. I find it difficult to do anything other than what I have always done in an effort to remain true to my approach. Although I cannot attest to this particular review being food related, the environmental experience holds nearly as much weight as the food itself does in dining experiences. As seen in the posted screenshot, and readily posted online, Santiagos Bodega is open for their second happy hour from 10 pm - 12 am. My husband and I ventured out for 1 of our 2 date nights a year and elected for them to be our destination of choice. Paid sitter for our kiddos in place, we hop in the Uber to arrive. Upon walking in, at 5 past 10, we are met with the hostess informing us last call had already been served. Hospitably said, frustrated as we were nonetheless. Upon learning this, and incredibly disappointed, my husband approached the bar staff to inform them of the gross discrepancy on their website and inquired about purchasing a glass of wine for the two of us as we again waited for another rideshare to pick us up and return us home. The bartender seemed happy to oblige us, considering the inconvenience and obvious corporate misfire, in attempt to maintain a positive sense of customer service. Enter Emily, Manager on Duty. With little appreciation for the plight of our evening to arrive here (childcare arrangements specifically), the willingness of her bar staff to appease us, Emily neglected to demonstrate anything conducive to that of a person with any real service industry related experience. She managed only to tell my husband that she would let the owners know of the inaccurate information and there was nothing she could or would do to better the situation. I have never, nor will ever, look for a handout, but the lack out appreciation to improve the situation in any shape or form from this Manager on Duty spoke volumes as this is certainly not a customer focused establishment. Extremely poor form and of all my experiences in dining, Emily leads with some of the worst in customer service. Some of my favorite tapas are the the burrata, meatballs, chicken skewers, croquettes and lamb but everything is so amazing. We visited Santiago's Bodega on Saturday night around 6:25. We had a reservation, so we were seated immediately. Our host promptly filled our water glasses and told us that they were packed tonight with over 150 reservations! We ordered a couple of cold tapas and drinks to start, then about 10 minutes later we ordered some warm tapas. About 20 minutes later, the cold tapas came out; the beef carpaccio was excellent. We loved the truffle oil, and it had the perfect amount of capers. The beef was also some of the thinnest I've ever had. Bravo on that one. The burrata was very good as well, but the pesto was the star. The walnut pesto was delicious and balanced out the burrata well. We were surprised it took a full 30 minutes to get these to us, but our server mentioned that the cold side of the kitchen was super busy. It was about an 40 minutes since we ordered the hot tapas that they finally came out. During the time when we waited, our server came to check on us several times. She was attentive, and very good. Finally after 40 minutes, the patatas bravas came out. We both found them rather sauce heavy and under seasoned. After that, another person came out with an order of croquetas which were not ours. Then, our server came to check on us and double check about what we were waiting on. It turned out she had actually put in an order of croquetas, but we were not charged for it since we didn't order it. She also mentioned that they had a new expo who was losing orders. About 70 minutes after we ordered them, the short ribs came out. They were perfectly cooked, but a little sweet for my taste. The slaw was also quite sweet, so the dish didn't balance well either. Overall, I think we were underwhelmed by the food here. We've heard such great things from so many people, and it just didn't live up to the hype. I also wish they'd had some more traditional Spanish stuff on the menu (like a tortilla espanola or gambas al ajillo or chorizo or huevos rotos). Our server was great, but we had to wait so long between dishes. I don't think I'd go back, but I'd probably drop into the Orlando location for drinks if I was around the area. read more

Her service was so great that I let her manager know at the end of our brunch. The drinks are really good and they fill them up nearly to the top, so that's a plus for bottomless mimosas. There were dishes that were really good and some that weren't that great. I loved the bagels with salmon spread, toffee cake, buttermilk pie, kale and broccolini salad, bacon/sausages, hash brown casserole, and shrimp. The pasta was bland and didn't look great. The prime rib was eh. The frittata had no seasoning. It was fluffy but needed salt and pepper. The croissant French toast was okay but it didn't look that good and was mushy. Though all the food wasn't all that, the drinks, atmosphere, service, and desserts make up for the bland dishes in my opinion. i wanted to give an honest review, but this is no way a bad review. with a nice group of people, a good server and endless plates and drinks it's worth the $50. Santiago's definitely knows how to brunch. This was such a treat! A friend asked us to celebrate her birthday here for brunch and I'm already planning a quick return. For starters, the brunch special is unbeatable. All you can eat plus drink for $47.95 on weekends from 10-3. The plates are tapas style created for sharing but can be ordered solo if you prefer. I think our group hit pretty much everything on the menu and some items we even did twice because they were just that good! My personal favorites were the pasta carbonara, smoked salmon bagel, and croissant French toast. The apricot pecan cream cheese served with the French toast was other worldly! So creamy and a nice touch on the crisp French toast! If I wasn't so close to dangerously full, I could have eaten another plate. But of course, I had to squeeze in one more sweet and I'm glad that I did! The toffee cake was such a memorable finish. Very dense cake with loads of flavor. Definitely get this one to share, or don't! I would never judge! I enjoyed two mimosas and my friends some sangria. The service was awesome! The Bodega is a tapas bar so if you came looking for steak and mashed potatoes, then this isn't the place. The meals are light, but tasty and the restaurant is a great place to go out socializing with old friends you haven't seen in a long time like I did, or in large groups for cocktails and the best gossip. But it is more of a chill and relatively quiet place to wine & dine. The decor is very villa-like with a lot of fun, eccentric artwork up on the walls. And overall, a really nice, fancy place to meet friends, to throw small parties, or simply to just come with your partner, relax and "spill the tea" for hours in a calm, slightly dimmer setting at the Santiago's Bodega. Some of the worst service I have ever received. We were seated and handed menus and told a server would be right with us. We waited 20 minutes before going inside to ask for a server. When one finally came out we were told it was a buffet so no need for the menus which we weren't told. One of us is Celiac and has a lot of dietary restrictions which have been accommodated here before. Unfortunately today we were met with a rude and unwilling chef refusing to try and make something free of contamination for her and suggesting she eat from a heavily contaminated buffet because he didn't want to prepare anything safe for her. I have a major sweet tooth, and I definitely wanted to try their sweet breakfast items but I chose to go with the savory pasta, and biscuits and gravy with a fruit bowl. The pasta was cooked to perfection with the creamiest sauce and super thick pancit. The fruit was very fresh which is a clear indication of why this place is so popular. Their chef clearly wants quality dishes going out no matter what menu it comes from. I only drank water, but they are known for some amazing bloody Mary's which my partner confirmed. Always a great experience here. We started out with some sangria. Then ordered some salad. Wedge for me and the avocado and pear for her. Brussel sprouts, salmon, croquettes, and mozzarella bruschetta came. And of course we had to order another plate of salmon. All of it was so good. Our waiter was Brian and we was top notch and made the experience even better. The inside is really cool as well and the paintings they have we could not stop looking at them. SHEESH this was a fantastic brunch experience!!! Me and a friend had reservations for 12:30pm and were seated immediately, they allowed us 2.5 hours of brunch since brunch ended at 3pm. Brunch drink offerings were 3 different sangrias and 3 different mimosas. The sparkling sangria was my favorite and I stuck with it the whole time! There was an arrangement of tapas on the menu and I will be honest and admit we ordered every single one of them. The highlights were the prime rib, the pasta, and the toffee dessert. DIVINE. The service was excellent, they always knew exactly when to show up to refill drinks, order more tapas, and clear the table. For $47 it was a wonderful experience, I can't wait to go back! read more

I won't go back. I've heard great things about this place. The ambience and story is heart grasping and beautiful. The servers were kind, knowledgeable and helpful. If you know what you're coming for, it's probably worth the visit. Red sangria- we were told a customer special. My wife and I couldn't even finish the glass because it was so sweet. Happy hour appetizers are the way to go but the apps are chosen to be purposely less appetizing we get. We got the yuca fries because we overheard someone order them. Those were good and the dipping sauce was great. Brussel sprouts $10 were tasty and crispy! Dates $10 were very small and were tasty but not worth the price point. $15 short ribs were really great! My wife kept sucking the bone! For 2 small ribs, we felt like we paid a lot of money for little food. It's not bad but we prefer to go to other tapas places where wale can get more for our money and better variety on the menu. read more

Food: Their brunch menu has 4 salad/soup, 2 cold tapas, 6 hot tapas, 6 sweet tapas. Everything taste very good and honestly brunch price comes included with complimentary red/white regular/sparkling sangria or mimosa. The prime rib was very well cooked. The peel & eat shrimp has a nice seasoning. Toffee cake and buttermilk pie are my favorite from the sweet tapas. Service: Everyone has the best attitude. I used to be a server and I would not be as pleasant or calm as they are during super busy brunch hour, kudos to them! Value: $47.95 for all you can eat brunch if including bottomless sangria or mimosa. If you can eat a lot, this place is totally worth it. But if you don't normally consume a lot of food or drinks then perhaps you may not find it reasonably priced as us. Ambience: The place is well decorated, with eccentric decors. It has a very welcoming vibe and like I said before, the servers are very friendly and patient. Crowd: It was pretty busy when we arrived around 11am. We thought we have a reservation but accidentally made it at the wrong location, no matter because they still were able to seat us right away. There are plenty of people at brunch already but that didn't delay the food or service in any way. Parking: Parking wasn't an issue.
