Definitely recommend! Delicious traditional Ecuadorian cuisine. Nice location in Casselberry in Orlando. Very clean, ample seating. Great service. We had Caldo de Bola, Bolon mixto de chicharron y queso), La Bandera which brings three of the most traditional dishes from Ecuador like Seco de Chivo, Ceviche de Camaron and Guatita. If you are craving these or other dishes from Ecuador or you just want to step out of the box and try something new, then head to Ave Maria gastro Lounge.

I went in for happy hour and appetizers and was pleased with the whole experience. They advertise specials in their stories on the gram. The bartender made some great recommendations that steered away from happy hour(M-F 3-6) but it was well worth it. In order of what I would order again: 1-Coconut Margarita 2-Guava Margarita 3-Mango Margarita The beef empanadas were filled with perfectly seasoned beef, peppers & onions and are worth a try! Very clean restaurant & bathrooms that have a perfect full body mirror & flattering lighting. Parking: 8/10 Staff:8/10 Drinks:9/10 Food:10/10 Prices:7/10 Would definitely return

When we walked in, the place was pretty empty, but I have to say, they did a nice job with the decor--it felt warm and inviting. About halfway through our meal, another couple showed up, but for most of the time, it was just us. There was only one server, but with so few tables, service was quick and attentive. We ordered the encebollado, shrimp ceviche, and the Bandera (which came with ceviche, seco de chivo, and guatita). The portions were really generous, which was a nice surprise. As a native-born Ecuadorian, I was excited to try the food and see how it compared to what I grew up eating. Overall, the flavors were close to traditional, but some things were a little off. Guatita: This was probably the best thing we had. The flavor was decent, but the texture was a bit grainy when it should've been smoother and creamier. Still, it was pretty solid. Ceviche: It was okay, but the tomato base was a little too strong--it almost had a ketchup-like taste. Ecuadorian ceviche usually has a fresh balance of citrus and tomato, and this one leaned too much on the latter. Seco de Chivo: The portion was great, and the meat was tender, but it had a bit of gamey that sometimes comes with goat when it's not marinated quite right. It wasn't bad, but it could use some tweaking. Encebollado: This one was a letdown for me, especially since it's my favorite Ecuadorian dish. The broth was a little bland, and there wasn't enough yuca, which is a key part of the dish. I also asked for more onions (which encebollado is supposed to have a lot of), and they brought out pico de gallo instead--then charged me extra for it. That was a bit frustrating. That said, the food had a homemade feel, and the portion sizes were really generous. With a few small adjustments, this place could really shine as an Ecuadorian spot. I'd be curious to come back in the future and see how it improves!

I went here on a Sunday around evening time and it was not too busy about 3 tables occupied, since it was our first time we didn't even know if we had to be seated but a lady told us we can sit where we liked so we did. They were pretty quick with coming to our table and asking us what we would like to drink. They gave us the menus which was loaded with great Ecuadorian traditional dishes as choices so I was very excited. This is the second Ecuadorian place I was able to find in Orlando and after some TikTok reviews I couldn't wait to try this place. After getting our drinks, I decided on getting Encebollado mixto and my spouse got Breaded chicken with rice and beans. They were pretty good on bringing out the dishes in a timely manner and a big portion sized was served for both of us. However my disappointment came when trying the food itself. It wasn't flavorful and my encebollado was a bit too sweet for my liking. The shrimp didn't feel fresh however the fish did. I added some mustard and spicy sauce just to give it more flavor and it still wasn't all the way there. My spouses dish was also lacking some flavor. The beans were almost just canned beans and the chicken as good as it looked didn't taste like it was seasoned with love. The white rice was our top favorite things since we both had some with our food. Over all the ambience was spectacular and it was super clean everywhere and the bathrooms were in tip top shape so I'm hoping it was just an off day with the food and I'll be giving it another chance since it's hard to find Ecuadorian cuisine near me and I so badly want a regular spot where I can pick up some good food when I'm feeling a little homesick. Also I might mentions the lady's were so sweet and came around enough to make sure we didn't need anything else. I hope there's better luck next time.

Finally there is an authentic Ecuadorian restaurant in East Orlando! The place it's really nice. I like that they have two art murals representing two important landmarks in Ecuador. I've been to a couple of Ecuadorian restaurants in the past in central Florida and this is the nicest place I've ever been. The staff was really attentive and always making sure we have everything that we needed. They welcomed us with a spicy sauce and fried plantain chips for staters. Food: they have a couple of Ecuadorian dishes in their menu. My family and I ordered the following: Caldo de bolas: I will give this 5 stars. It was really savory, the green plantain was big enough and the stuffing was delicious. Pulpo a la parrilla: It had good taste, however; the first two bites of one of the tentacles were a little rubbery. I tried the rest and it was tender. The octopus is served with fried green plantains (patacones), grilled potatoes and chimichurri. I will give this 4/5. Seco de chivo: It was juice enough to soak it with the yellow rice. It comes with sweet plantains and avocado. The perfect combination. I will give this 5/5 Ceviche the conchas negras: I wish the portion was a little bigger. It comes with plantains chips and toasted corn (maiz tostado) on the side. I will give this 4/5 I will definitely come back to try other dishes. They have a full bar and they have music and karaoke some nights.

There is a decent amount of parking; however, spots are not clearly marked outside the perimeter of the building so make your own spot if you need to. They have a covered patio in front of the building where customers can relax. The bar has seating for 12-15 people and there are more high-tops spread throughout the remainder of the barroom. The bar area has been recently remodeled; however, the restrooms look to be original. If there is any remaining funding for another upgrade, I recommend starting there. The only staff member working tonight was Jason and he was great. He honored my gift card and took great care of us. G's Lounge is definitely a local's hangout. Everyone that was here knew each other and had been coming here for years. Nancy and I were welcomed with open arms and one of the patrons even bought us a drink, what a guy! Something you need to know if you do plan to visit here is that they allow smoking inside the bar and the majority of the customers that are here come here because drinks are cheap and they can smoke inside. The bartender offered to open a large exhaust vent on the wall to ventilate the smoky air during our visit, which I appreciate, but I didn't want to impact all the other customers comfort by filling the room with humidity. Overall, I had a great experience at G's Lounge. Drinks are relatively cheap, staff and guests all were very friendly, there's a cigarette vending machine inside the bar, Jukebox, and some games to play if you're killing some time, and they have several monitors for watching the big game. I would certainly come back again but next time I will bring a cigar to enjoy while we hang out.

I didn't buy any other food or drinks over there, but I did notice that the prices were quite expensive for the portions. One of the guest mentioned that her glass of club soda was 8 dollars! That's quite expensive, even in the Winter Park area. The staff were friendly and attentive, and went above and beyond to give my friend a great birthday. The atmosphere looks like an upscale executive lounge with chillaxin music and artsy paintings that looks like you can buy. I though wonder why the eyes were red out in almost all of the paintings. I enjoyed the food and drinks at this lounge, but found the prices to be pretty high for the portions. It's located next to Jala, a new Indian restaurant that opened. Parking is free, and there is a public parking lot close by. I would come back again with my colleagues if we do want to do light snacks and drinks after work. Overall: B
