I'm a big Frida fan. The chips and salsa were good. We got the watermelon and the blueberry margarita. I had the vegetarian tacos with beans and veggies. My dining companions had the fish tacos and they were amazing. The service was fast. My only complaint as a Frida fan was the Frida AI art slop posted up in the restaurant. First time in this weekend and I love it ! The food was good and fresh. The service was friendly and everyone was so nice and accommodating. We were the first customers in so we kind of had everyone's attention. Then it started getting busy so that was a good sign that this is a good spot They really do have the best margaritas. The tacos were fantastic and the steak and shrimp The little one ended up ordering a cheeseburger with no bun. They were happy to accommodate. We came in for lunch and had a great experience! Service is amazing and the atmosphere is so fun! We enjoyed chips and salsa. I really like their salsa. For my entree, I got Grandma's meal, which is a cup of their chicken soup and a chicken enchilada with red sauce. It's the perfect portion size and so comforting. I had a great experience here! The inside is beautiful and vibrant. I went solely for their taco Tuesday special and it did not disappoint! 5 tacos for $10, I got two al pastor, one barbacoa, and one steak. They all tasted delicious. What really stood out to me was the service. From our server to the other servers that were there, they all checked on us frequently and were so nice. They have a salsa bar as well! I came here one evening with about a dozen coworkers. This place had been some rundown hole in the wall that closed down. I'm not sure if the space sold or if the owners just regrouped, but one day, Frida's was born. The interior is very neon and has artwork everywhere, which is very modern for these mid-tier Mexican restaurants. And here they lean heavy into their theme, Frida Kahlo everywhere. It was a very pleasant interior. We got seated, waited for everyone else to show up, enjoyed the chip and salsa, and ordered and sipped on drinks. The servers were extremely nice and were on point the entire night. When everyone got in and it was time to order, I did something I was very ashamed of. I came to a new Mexican restaurant, and just ordered fajitas. Now, there's nothing wrong with fajitas, they're delicious. But gosh, there are other things on the menu! Why must I always go to fajitas. Aaanyway, so I ordered the Fajitas (All fajitas are served in a sizzling skillet with green bell peppers, tomatoes, and onions. Served with a side of rice, refried beans, lettuce, sour cream, guacamole, tomato, cheese, and tortillas), more specifically the Trio (Grilled tender chicken, steak, and jumbo shrimp). These were amazing. The chicken, which is often the more boring meat, really stood out. It was seasoned well, cooked Just perfectly. The steak was great, sliced just the right way. And the shrimp was certainly jumbo and plump, very juicy. Good stuff. As for the sides, they were pretty tasty, all done well, but the amount they gave you were the small, boutique-sized portions that are very trendy right now. So, that stinks, especially since the spirit of Mexico is small prices and large portions of quality food. But whatever. The experience was still wonderful. Overall, this place was very good. What an amazing experience! Super friendly staff and wonderfully decorated restaurant. The food was very very tasty. We devoured those appetizer nachos in minutes! The chimichangas are made like a little bag which I thought was different and cute. Very very good! I went for the dinner with a show item and got the Molcajete which had so much meat!!! Made in a lava rock and bursting with flavors. Every bite was so good and it came with flour tortillas so you could make up a different experience in each one. Really loved it here! I love Mexican food, but oddly enough in Central Florida have not really found an overall great Mexican restaurant, but Frida's will definitely be our go-to spot from now on. The decor is fun, yet classy. The service was quick, correct, and friendly. We started out with the chorizo cheese dip appetizer, which give you a huge portion of chorizo and cheese dip with fresh tortilla chips. My husband got the chorizo burger, which sounds odd, but was one of the most delicious burgers I've ever had! It was juicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. I ordered from the à la carte menu and got rice, refried beans, a crispy beef taco, and a chile relleno. Everything was perfectly cooked, seasoned well, and It was enough food that I could take home part of the children out and rice and beans for lunch the next day. Of course for dessert we had to try the fried ice cream, which was like the rest of the meal, delicious! We will definitely be coming back to Frida's to try more other menu has to offer. Lovers of Habaneros will be happy to know that this is still owned and operated by the same lovely family. The younger generation took over and put their spin on things. The vibe was very fun. I loved the new decor and there is plenty of room for a large group. I came with a group of coworkers and we had a buffet set up for us with chicken, steak, & vegetarian fajitas. We also had all the sides (guacamole, sour cream, lettuce, tomato, etc). There was also rice and refried beans. Everything was fresh and hot. Service was impeccable! Nice lunch at Fridas today! Came around 1pm and it wasn't busy. They have a good lunch menu with about 10 items. We ordered the burrito and fajitas, good portions and about $10 each. Out the door with soda and tip under $20. Burrito was flavorful and came out fast! Rice was cooked well. They are served with 3 flour or corn tortillas, rice, and refried beans. I also ordered a Sky margarita which was enjoyable. I thought the chips and salsa could have been a little better though. I would have liked the chips to have been warmed up and the salsa to have had more flavor. Our waiter was friendly and attentive and there was ample parking. Margaritas are pricey but not out of line with what other restaurants are asking. They have a nice salsa bar with some spicy varieties. Pulled in around 2:30 on a Saturday for a late lunch, at first we weren't sure they were open as there was only one other car in the parking lot but not only were they open the food was spectacular! I had the Arroz con Pollo and my husband had the burrito deluxe, both were delicious! The chicken in the Arroz was grilled almost fajita style so it was tender and flavorful, perfect amount of queso on the rice and even the rice was flavorful. My husband was equally pleased with his two burritos- one shredded chicken and one ground beef. He said both were well seasoned and the sauce on top was not overpowering as it can be in some places. I also had a skinny margarita which was made perfectly! Often times margaritas are overly sweet or too strong but this one was truly balanced and if I didn't have errands to run after this lunch I would have for sure had at least one more!! Huge portions, quick and attentive service and it was very clean. I am truly surprised this place was so empty! Go and give them a try!! read more

Most of the staff are nice and attentive, but it's is hard to appreciate that when the food they bring out tastes like boiled dirt. It's amazing how you can screw up a chicken fajita. They started serving Peruvian food and they need to just leave the Peruvian food to the Peruvian people. The Lomo Saltado is disgusting! As far as the ambiance, it's on par for a Mexican restaurant with bright colors and music but the temperature tends to be on the warmer side. It really sucks that this place has gone down hill so bad since we live so close to it. Honestly we will just hit a Taco Bell before we come back. read more
