I got the Godfather (prosciutto, capicola, salami with provolone, peppers, lettuce, tomatoes and onions and Italian dressing) and the Chicken Parm Sub. Both which were massive and stuffed full. The chicken was juicy and tender and soaked up the marina sauce well while the Godfather was amazing as well. We've been going here for several years and have never had a problem with our order. Today I ordered two club sandwiches online. When my husband and I got to the restaurant, there was three staff members standing around behind the counter just talking. When I went up to the counter another guy was getting his "to go" order, but mine was not there. I showed the staff member who had helped the guy before me my order and she didn't know anything about it. I went and sat at an empty table, which was dirty, and waited. Went to Santini's today to order food to go !!! After being ignored for a while someone approached us for our order. We gave our order and off he went. We paid and several minutes later we were told the Veal Parm sandwich was not available, and were told ! to pick another sandwich , we didn't want a different sandwich and were refunded in cash for the sandwich. We paid with CC. We then were presented with our food on plates/ when we ordered to go. I have very fond memories of the Santino's location in Oakton from many years ago, so I was excited to see a Santini's close to my hotel. They still have the ridiculously huge slices of rich chocolate and carrot cake that I adored. Hoped they had the Maryland crab soup that was my all time favorite, but, alas, not on the menu the day I was there. So I settled for chicken soup, and it did the trick. Plenty of noodles and not too salty. The open sign was lit when I walked into Santini's at 9:10pm on my second visit. Hungry and just wanted to grab a sandwich. They informed me that they were closed, but they could slam a cold sandwich together, if I wanted. Well, I just planned to grab a club sandwich to go. And they kindly made me a great sandwich. Ordered for family last week. We ordered Italian sausage and mushrooms. On the plus side, they were fast. However, we took it home and opened it up....the little circular cuts of so-called Italian sausage were sitting in literally puddles of their own grease and almost no mushrooms to be seen. There is plenty of seating inside and out, with TVs at the counter area while you wait for your to-go order or eat in. The lunch rush can get a little crowded/chaotic but that's typical. They'll still take care of you! Their ordering/payment can be a little unclear for first-timers if you go when there isn't already a line. You order to the left of the service counter area, by the drinks, then make your way to the register and tell them what you ordered. They do have a sign that directs you but you'll have to wait for someone to come over and take your order. They're pretty quick about it though and the staff has always been friendly. Prices are very reasonable and there are a lot of options for a quick and inexpensive lunch if you're trying to get back to work fast. Although we all ordered sandwiches, they also offer a variety of pizzas, calzones, and salads. We ordered and paid at the counter. When the orders were ready, the staff brought them to us. They were polite and friendly. My friends and I liked the Steak & Cheese and Egg Salad sandwiches. My other friend had an Efi sandwich that came only with roast beef and cheese. She should have ordered Jersey Boy instead because she likes some lettuce and tomatoes on her sandwich. We all shared curly fries which was very good. Actually, ordered a takeout order from here during a convention actually. Looking at the menu and with Italian on the plan for dinner, I wanted to go for something on the lighter side. I settled on the chicken salad on croissant - lettuce tomato. Thing was HUGE - and that was appreciated - most croissants are on the smaller side but this one was loaded! A little bummed as I crave this place. It was a mediocre experience. The Santini sausage was dry and overcooked. The chicken Philly was my favorite in the past but it was bland and just not good. I had to quit early because I had a hair or something which in fairness I'll say it might be mine but I didn't want to investigate it. Just trash both sandwiches. Santini's was across the street from my hotel room so since I was on my own for dinner, I decided to find out how New York this deli was. Well major props for having the NY Sports team logos in the ceiling tiles. I don't know if there was any rhyme or reason as to where they were placed, but it certainly added some unique atmosphere. I arrived around 9 pm on a Friday, so the few customers who were there were mostly waiting for to go orders. A few tables still had some plates left on them, which I wasn't a fan of. I ordered a steak and cheese with extra meat and no mayo. I would say it was ok, but a pretty standard steak sandwich that you can get at most steak stands. And I also had a slice of cheese pizza. For $4.50, it was a decent size, but I'd rate the quality as maybe a little better than Sbarro's. It was fair enough, but a little bit generic. It wasn't what I would expect from a pizzeria in the NY area. Lot of selection and hubby and I got cheesesteak and the Bogey which is like a cheesesteak with some sauce. Both are solid. We also got the boardwalk fries which seemed more like a thinner steak fries (not like the boardwalk fries I was expecting from Ocean City). You order at the counter and then pay. There are chips and PepsiCo soda fountain. The eat in business is not too busy so plenty of area to spread out. I do wonder if lunch is much busier. I ordered pickup for Santini's the other day. Matt was craving some philly cheesesteak - and this place is the place to go if you have an hankering! It's large, it's flavorful and it's filling. I got him the 12" sub, less mayo, with santini fries and a cheesecake. I walked in and showed them the phone order, gave my name and they brought it to the checkout counter for me. First the sub is delicious! Their sandwiches are amazing. They are huge and flavorful and filling! It had chunks of tomatoes and lettuce for the fresh factor. Next, the fries are sub par. I personally don't think they are crispy enough to call fries. Matt enjoyed them. The cheesecake and desert case is a MUST. Even if you just go here for lunch - do yourself a favor and just grab one for later. I grabbed the regular cheesecake this time and we put it in the fridge. Well, it was a huge disappointment since NOTHING was what it used to be. We ordered the godfather sub with a side of Santini fries, a health delight pita sandwich, and a chicken Caesar salad. First of all, they never gave us our fries to begin with so we went back in to get them. We immediately realized that they were not hot and fresh fries, but very cold and soggy. We tried reheating the fries in the oven, but that didn't help whatsoever so in the trash they went. The godfather sub was quite flavorless and nothing special. The health delight pita sandwich didn't taste fresh and didn't have a lot of flavor like it used to. The chicken Caesar salad had VERY overcooked and flavorless chicken on it and that was a huge letdown! After this experience, we will not be ordering from here again. read more

When step in, you should head directly to the kitchen counter to place your order then you'll be requested to move to the cashier to pay and then pick your table, you'll be seated on your own, then the server bring the food yo the table once ready. The place is neat and clean, spacious and could accommodate groups if needed. They have indoor and outdoor seatings. There are many wide screens to watch main events. The menu is loaded with a variety of pizza, pasta, deli's and salads. I had a Mediterranean pizza plus a Greek salad. The pizza was yummy and chewy. The salad was ok. Something to mention, they serve disposable plates with the meal, so when you finish as a courtesy, you may dispose the used plates in trash bin. Part of our order was curly fries and 10 minutes after we got our food the fries came out but they were normal fries. We mentioned it and the guy didn't say a word and took the fries. 10 minutes later the young female walks up with our fries and just drops them on the table and walks away. At least say "I'm sorry for the mixup" or "my bad", but recognize it. It's basic shit right? Also, I think it's crazy that you can wear pajama pants and work behind the counter . I ordered two Parmesan subs to go: one meatball, and one eggplant. My husband loved his meatball sub, but sadly I did not get to eat my sub because someone in the kitchen made a chicken Parmesan instead of an eggplant Parmesan.
