Honest opinion... service was below average. Our server was very distracted, took our food order wrong and mixed up the separate checks (2 couples). My Don Julio blanco with lime juice had no pop or zing, and for a $17 drink that's unacceptable. Not a good pour. Wife thought her chicken and spinach enchiladas were average and I agree. They put some cheesy sauce over my friend's burritos and my flautas- no bueno. It masks the true flavor of the dish, so I can't opine on how good either was. I suggest getting the sauce on the side. The outstanding meal was the grilled shrimp in the shell. Really delicious. I'll order it next time. So 4 entrees and two drinks were over $140 with a tip. I hope they step it up because we can use a really unique Mexican eatery here. read more

I have been driving by this "Coming Soon" banner by the entrance for almost a year anticipating the opening of this Mexican restaurant. This place is higher end dining, with posh interior. Expect to pay $25/person plus tip. Some items are priced "Mkt. Price," like guacamole. I've never seen that at a Mexican restaurant. All in all the restaurant deserves a visit because the food is really good. Sunny patio with large umbrellas and their cocktails are enticing. read more

Before I get to the food, let me just say these are some of the nicest people I've ever met in a restaurant. Super welcoming, friendly, and excited to talk about the food and ingredients. The place looks great with some beautiful murals. We got the queso fundido as an app and I went with the tacos so I could sample a few different meats. Carnitas were excellent, best I've had in years, carne asada was great, and the el pastor was absolutely amazing. My wife had the chimichangas and loved them as well. Try the charro beans they're incredible as well. They have some really nice tequilas, like really nice!!! And modelo negra and dos equis on tap. The mixed drinks are great too. Honestly 11/10, highly recommended, food so delicious we found ourselves back here a few days later. Omelette is crazy good and burrito Santo Pecado is ridiculously ridiculous in the best way!!! read more

It is seldom that a restaurant in a strip can feel special. Santo Pescado however has created an alluring interior, from the beautiful bar to cozy booths that are a combination of stylish modern and subtle Mexican. It is something you might find in a larger city but not seen in small towns. Upon arriving several people greeted us and their enthusiasm was palpable. I felt like they were truly glad to see us. On the other hand our waiter was efficient and pleasant but a little less than enthusiastic. I do give him credit at patience though. One in our party asked for no salt in her dish. She did clarify she knows there is salt in it but don't add any extra and he said he would tell the kitchen. We ordered drinks off their extensive and creative drink menu. And here's where the waiter failed a bit. When I asked him what he recommends or what is popular he shrugged and said to just get a margarita. It was very pat and not a way of selling your drinks. After all bar bills are the cash cows in the restaurant world and add up to bigger bills hence bigger tips. On to the food. My wife and our friends all ordered fajitas and our friends said they were quite good but my wife was less inspired and said they were no better than anywhere else. Now I personally don't ever order the dish and probably won't any time soon. To me, although it's is of Tex Mex origin, the sizzling dish gimmick is a Hyatt Regency invention from 1987 and is actually just water sprayed onto the food on the very hot skittle. That brings me to the menu itself. It has all of the usual suspect dishes, enchiladas, tacos, burritos etc. But there are a few more special and interesting dishes one of which I ordered, the octopus. It was in my opinion spectacular. Cooked perfectly which is no easy feat. Under done or overdone you get Goodyear tire rubber. This on the other hand was delicate and full of flavor. It was served over a different rice than the regular Mexican rice everyone else was served and came with fresh sautéed vegetables consisting of broccoli, squash and zucchini. The dish was so enjoyable and I will be back for it again undoubtedly. With a waiter that was a bit more helpful I would have given it five stars. No, I will give it five stars for the rest of the staff and the food. read more

Let's start with the entrance. Upon walking in the atmosphere is so delightful! They all greet you with a smile and you are seated quickly. When you get seated everyone on staff is so hospitable. They ask how you are, and immediately ask what you would like to drink. You are met with chips and salsa. And then they take your order. The food comes quickly. Some people do not like someone constantly checking on you. But for me the waiter always asked if we needed anything. Do we want more to drinks, did we need more napkins, how was the food. The food was Amazing. The portions were fair. Not too much not too little. And the flavor was nice. I had the TEX MEX with a sparkling Mango drink! Not only was the drink very pretty it was delicious! I loved that it was super carbonated! The carbonation McDonald sprite offers! And to end it off they did not rush us. Once we paid they told us good bye, and have a nice day! It's amazing how something as simple as a smile and greeting can change your day if you're willing to reciprocate. Anyone going, come with a good a good attitude. Don't be the person that makes a good thing bad because you're unhappy. It can make or break a good business! If you have some time. After reading reviews was expecting excellent food. Sadly was disappointed. The chips were bland and cold. The salsa was thin and flavorless. My chimichanga was the worst I've ever had, no flavor and just plain chicken. My husband said his food was bland, barely warm and he did not get what he ordered. They did correct the error.
