Just updating with a photo! I still want to want to return for the fajitas! Still remember this place like I just went yesterday ....

Birthday dessert - cheesecake option - not very creamy, super dense, not worth the $20 charge.

Came here for my bday with my man and our two children. The place was chill for a Tuesday, we had the taco Tuesday special and the fish tacos were phenomenal. Definitely be back for those. We also ordered the gobernador tacos and those were mid. The music was chill for awhile and then they transitioned to live music which was not as fun as the reggaeton they were previously playing. But on the plus side, they don't charge for song requests, which is a nice surprise compared to other live music we've experienced at restaurants. Since we were celebrating for my bday, they offered a bday dessert but failed to tell my man that they were charging him for them so he ended up paying $20 for some mediocre cheesecake - being charged wasnt an issue but failing to let him not it's not complementary should have been disclosed. Our servers were great. Very attentive, very kid friendly and we overall enjoyed our short time there. Highly Recommend the fish tacos & the pitchers of Margarita but be aware that not all flavors are available in pitchers which is odd to me. Overall will be back for the fish tacos and the margarita pitcher.

Good food, good service, good drinks! Just wishing they changed up the music with some David Bowie, The Doors, Fleetwood Mac, Depeche Mode

This was my first time at this restaurant and I enjoyed it! The restaurant is brightly decorated with color, neon lights and portraits of people like Selena. Loved this! We ordered the margarita flight which came with peach, tamarindo, mango and strawberry. They are made well just a bit on the sweeter side. I ordered their chicken mole enchiladas that came with a side of their rice and beans. They were yummy. And I was actually surprised that their rice and beans were tasty. Overall I enjoyed my time here. It wasn't crowded at all during our 5:30pm reservation. We left around 7 and noticed the live music entertainers were just arriving. Might need to go back and check that out!

Stopped in on cinco de mayo and I will say this place was packed. They had a live band and offered us tequila samples which was cool. Customer service was decent, but I do feel they were under staffed. The food was extremely dry. Also their prices weren't matching the quality on the menu and/or portions. I likely won't return simply due to food.

While this place is very vibrant I wasn't a fan of their food and I disliked their loud music! There was only one other party when I arrived and the service was slow but friendly! Complimentary chips were good and the salsa was okay. Bon Appetit

It's been a few years and Santo Remedio is still kicking ! I'm happy to hear and see this. Taco Tuesday 5-10pm was perfect . Live music , great service , the food was YUM and our servers Teo and Yasmin were EXCEPTIONAL! The house made salsa is to die for. Fish taco - the best and I highly recommend . I'll be back soon! Gracias !

First Visit Was On 12/20/25. There Was No One At The Host/Check-In Stand. While I Was Waiting, A Couple Of Staff Members Passed By & Didn't Acknowledge Me. I Didn't Realize There Was Live Music On Saturdays And/Or The Weekends. It Was Pretty Loud, I Couldn't Hear Myself Talk!!! The Shrimp Ceviche (Marinated In Lime) & Shrimp Gobernador Tacos Was Fresh & Pretty Good.

My husband and I came here in the afternoon. It wasn't really busy. Service was less than decent. Waiter did not check in on us once, did not refill our waters, etc. Then, we ordered and the food took a little over 30 minutes to come out. They forgot the meat on my husband's plate and 2 other sides. Food was good, but it's not worth the service you'll get. There is live music so expect it to be loud. We knew about the band so it didn't bother us. Hope the servers work on their service.

Had Birthday breakfast this morning for my granddaughter.

My granddaughter had her birthday here, and let me tell you--first time visiting and we rolled in like we owned the place after a solid one-hour road trip . Totally worth it though! Everyone was happy with their food (which is rare--there's always that one person), and no complaints at all. Safe to say we left full, happy, and already planning our next visit!

We came today because of the online lunch special. There was no manager on sight, apparently they have had new menus for 4-5 days but unable to accommodate the online pricing. No business card available for the manager and nobody on sight to call. Staff unwilling/unable to make changes to the pricing. Was told the manager was a female but now Apparently the manager name is Juan Mendoza. I understand menus changing but it should reflect online as well.

We added the center pieces and table center cloth. Restaurant proved black and red linen.

Celebrating a birthday at this location is keen to a good time. Rating 5 for service, food, hospitality all around 100%. What a day spent with family and friends over 2 dozens folks joined us to celebrate a phenomenal woman. I highly recommend the back room to reserve for a well deserved meal and less disturbance from the main dinning area. My sister got a great deal "special" to reserve the back room with private doors. That was a bonus. The supreme part of this day was our mother's smile. We decorated the side door with balloons and back drop and a classic photo of mother. Very intimate decorations. The back room has beautiful ceiling floral arrangements and you can't miss the big pink sign in the back wall. Pictures to follow. I dropped a point due to the ridiculous high charge for my michiladas. We paid $30 for 2 -16 ounce glass with a modelo cervesa, plus a tip. It tasted well but I was not going to buy another! $26 dollars for an old fashion that my hubby paid, is out of control. The drink did not have a burbon. Budgets for an events are everything but I probably wont go back due to how the cost of two drinks were close to 40 bucks. Also the bill for the event had an addition mandated 20% tip. As a customer I choose the tip amount. I highly recommend to rethink alcohol beverage pricing. Enjoy the photos!

What a fun spot. Ambiance is colorful and has some popping music. Food is pretty good too.

What a night! UNFORGETTABLE EVENT OF 2026!!!!…read more Last Thursday, our ULI CFL Foodies gathered for a truly memorable evening at Gabbi's Mexican Kitchen in Orange -- with an exclusive private dining experience for 10 in The Cellar (Ki Hanal + Lounge). Such great 5 star service by our server, Jess!!! Thank you Mr. Don Domingue (Restaurant Manager). - The Yucatan inspired dishes were life alteringly good - The salsa was seriously addictive (carmelized onions in the salsa??? who knew it would be so mind blowing!) - OMG the skirt steak was cooked to perfection sitting on a corn medley served with hot fresh house made flour/corn tortillas - Their cocktails were vibrant, fresh and packed a punch! A converted wine cellar featuring an intimate bar and lounge and a dramatic private dining table reminiscent of King Arthur's Court, the space was unlike anything we had experienced before. The furnishings were rich with history, character and unique design. For a few hours, we literally felt transported. But as special as the setting was, the people made the evening. We celebrated a birthday , career milestones , and had the opportunity to get to know members of ULI CFL Cohort 2 on a more personal level. A special CHEERS to Judson B, whose thoughtfulness and efforts truly made this evening special. Thank you, Judson, for taking us on such a wonderful Mexican culinary adventure! Great company + great conversation + great food & beverages = the trifecta of a great night out exploring what Orange County has to offer! And with that, we officially pass the ULI CFL Foodies torch to Karen A., who will be leading us on our next culinary adventure this Fall (Oct/Nov). Details to come! Until then... happy eating and CHEERS!

In my opinion, the restaurant should just be called "Gabbi's Kitchen," because that would be more appropriate. This is the type of "Mexican" restaurant that Mexicans don't actually go to. Basic concepts and dishes that are either done incorrectly or have way too much going on. We ordered the Al Pastor Gordita, and it was easily the worst gordita I've ever had. The meat wasn't traditionally seasoned the way you'd expect al pastor to be, which could be fine, except it was overwhelmed by the taste of either cinnamon, allspice, or some other seasoning I couldn't identify. It was distracting and unpleasant. Then there was an overwhelming amount of pineapple. There shouldn't even be pineapple in a gordita, but if there is, it shouldn't be the main ingredient. Instead of lettuce, there were one or two spinach leaves, and no beans. We also ordered the Arrachera, which was basically carne asada on corn and nopal. This was the most expensive dish, yet while the cheaper dishes came with sides, this was mainly just a piece of meat on a small mountain of corn. No beans, rice, or salsa. I asked for salsa and received an overly sweet, somehow-not-spicy habanero salsa that they charged $4 for. And if you're used to going to literally any authentic Mexican restaurant and getting complimentary chips and salsa, don't expect that here. They offer it to you like it's free, but it's not. I wanted to try something new, and the hostess at the front said the food was "really good" (not her fault), but unfortunately, it's just another Americanized Mexican restaurant that makes you regret not going to a place you already know and trust.

Our water glasses were always full, and they kept the table clean as soon as we finished a plate. The food was good, but not the best I've tried. I had the Grande Taco Salad, and I really enjoyed it. We also ordered the seafood tacos, but unfortunately, the shrimp had a little bit of a soapy taste. We let our server know, and they were very nice about it and offered to get her something else. A note for anyone who doesn't eat pork: ask for the beans prepared "a la olla" instead of the refried beans. I asked our server if the refried beans were made with manteca (pork lard), and he confirmed that they were, so just something to be aware of when ordering. The restaurant itself has a lot of character. It used to be a church, so it has beautiful colorful windows with designs, lots of wood inside, and some huge, beautiful lamps in the middle. They also have outdoor seating, but it was way too hot to sit outside when we went. Overall, it was a nice first visit, especially because of the friendly service and atmosphere. I'm giving it 4 stars because of the soapy taste in the shrimp and because, while the food was good, I've had better Mexican food at other places.

A group of us came in and spent around $500. We ordered several appetizers and shared different plates because everything looked so good. I personally ordered the tacos gobernador. That night and the next day was awful. I started vomiting, had severe diarrhea, missed work, and my child also got sick after eating. Because of what happened, I called the restaurant to let them know and make them aware. I wasn't expecting an argument--I just wanted them to take the situation seriously. But I was being confused for someone that had already called earlier that day with the same problem. I felt completely brushed off. The response I received was basically, "Thanks for your comment." When I spoke with a supervisor he came across as aggressive and made me feel like I wasn't even allowed to express my concerns about what happened. As a regular paying customer, that was incredibly frustrating. I'm not saying restaurants don't have challenges or that mistakes can't happen. But when customers spend hundreds of dollars, we deserve quality food, proper food safety practices, and to be treated with respect when we report a serious issue. Whether this was a food handling problem or cross-contamination, my experience should have been taken seriously instead of dismissed.
