The good: everything we ordered was delicious from the chilaquiles options to the carnitas. The bad: it's incredibly loud between the live band and the background music. Service is very slow, and the servers don't feel a rush. There's also a pretty limited kids menu with no substitutions. This was my first time at this restaurant and I enjoyed it! The restaurant is brightly decorated with color, neon lights and portraits of people like Selena. Loved this! We ordered the margarita flight which came with peach, tamarindo,mango and strawberry. They are made well just a bit on the sweeter side. I ordered their chicken mole enchiladas that came with a side of their rice and beans. They were yummy. And I was actually surprised that their rice and beans were tasty. Overall I enjoyed my time here. It wasn't crowded at all during our 5:30pm reservation. We left around 7 and noticed the live music entertainers were just arriving. My granddaughter had her birthday here, and let me tell you--first time visiting and we rolled in like we owned the place after a solid one-hour road trip . Totally worth it though! This place has extremely loud music, I know it has cantina bar but for it being in the morning I did not expect that. The mariachi's was great when they played. For a night out with the boys or girls this would be perfect. They really need to lower the music as I also noticed other customers covering their ears at times. Our server was great, took our order right away. It did take some time to get our food, like 30 min. Prices were a bit too high for being Mexican food which was ok, I ordered the chilaquiles and were ok. i had to add the sunny side up egg separately which other places already comes included. I was also disappointed on the Mexican natural flavored drinks we ordered which were brought too us in plastic bottles, really? I ordered Jamaica and my wife ordered horchata. Celebrating a birthday at this location is keen to a good time. Rating 5 for service, food, hospitality all around 100%. What a day spent with family and friends over 2 dozens folks joined us to celebrate a phenomenal woman. I highly recommend the back room to reserve for a well deserved meal and less disturbance from the main dinning area. My sister got a great deal "special" to reserve the back room with private doors. That was a bonus. The supreme part of this day was our mother's smile. We decorated the side door with balloons and back drop and a classic photo of mother. Very intimate decorations. The back room has beautiful ceiling floral arrangements and you can't miss the big pink sign in the back wall. Pictures to follow. I dropped a point due to the ridiculous high charge for my michiladas. We paid $30 for 2 -16 ounce glass with a modelo cervesa, plus a tip. It tasted well but I was not going to buy another! $26 dollars for an old fashion that my hubby paid, is out of control. The drink did not have a burbon. Budgets for an events are everything but I probably wont go back due to how the cost of two drinks were close to 40 bucks. Also the bill for the event had an addition mandated 20% tip. Food was yummy but their chilaquiles that were spicy were way too spicy for me. I can usually eat super spicy. The other dishes were good. We liked the margarita flight. Pretty and yummy. They had fresh squeezed pineapple juice. They have great entertainment! We came for brunch with five girls. The mariachi diva group is awesome! Great for birthday brunch after church because they only have this on Sunday mornings. The corn butter cake was really good and they sang with signs to my sister for her bday. Came here for my bday with my man and our two children. The place was chill for a Tuesday, we had the taco Tuesday special and the fish tacos were phenomenal. Definitely be back for those. We also ordered the gobernador tacos and those were mid. The music was chill for awhile and then they transitioned to live music which was not as fun as the reggaeton they were previously playing. But on the plus side, they don't charge for song requests, which is a nice surprise compared to other live music we've experienced at restaurants. Since we were celebrating for my bday, they offered a bday dessert but failed to tell my man that they were charging him for them so he ended up paying $20 for some mediocre cheesecake - being charged wasnt an issue but failing to let him not it's not complementary should have been disclosed. Our servers were great. Very attentive, very kid friendly and we overall enjoyed our short time there. Highly Recommend the fish tacos & the pitchers of Margarita but be aware that not all flavors are available in pitchers which is odd to me. My cousin chose this place for her birthday brunch. We came on a Sunday mid morning it's easy to locate and parking was not a problem. I thought the place was going to be packed since it was Valentine's Day, but on the contrary, it was actually very empty. Besides our table there was probably only 3 other tables that were taken. The place is decorated very much like a lot of other Mexican restaurants that I've been too the Calavera Dia de Los muertos theme, which I actually love! So it was very colorful inside the place but it is not very big. They do have a patio area if you choose to sit outside, that area also empty. We were seated right away and the server offered to take our drink orders. We ordered a Margarita flight to share among the four of us, and honestly, they were not that great. They tasted very sweet and artificial. The server brought us some chips and salsa and those were actually pretty good! We ended up ordering similar plates steak with rice and beans and they were all just OK for everyone ..not terrible but not great. We also had ordered the queso fundido appetizer and it was brought out after the main dishes. They had a mariachi that was playing for about 30 minutes and they were decent...I think they were also probably wondering where was the Valentine's Day crowd ..they stopped playing shortly after..I'm not sure why, I wish they would have played longer. I noticed that they did a birthday singing and sparkle candle w/ mini piñata for birthdays so I asked the server to have it done for my cousin, well, I'm not exactly sure what happened because the server was MIA for a while and I'm telling you the place was very empty. When she finally showed up, she just showed up with a dessert but no birthday singing or sparkly candle or mini piñata. At this point, I was annoyed with the slow service and the fact that she ignored my request. I spoke to another waiter and I let him know that I had requested for the birthday singing and candle and he said no worries I got you a few minutes later he came out with a dessert and the candle. So I'm not exactly sure what happened there but definitely not a good first impression. We went to celebrate a sister bday but we had a very bad experience. We had a reservation at 12:30 and our table was not ready until 1:00pm, why make a reservation? We were seated we had to wait 30 minutes for them to come and take out drink order. They gave us chip and salsa, chips was very greasy and salsa no flavor. We asked for napkins like 5 times and we were just ignored. We finally order the drinks but took like 30 minutes to bring them out. We finally ordered our food and that took a while to get too. The waitress never checked up on us if we needed anything. I order chilaquiles trio, sisters order menudo. Chilaquiles was bland no flavor and menudo was worse. We had to ask for salt, tortillas, chiles and oregano since they never bother to offer the condiments that does with the menudo. Very bad customer service and serve food with no flavor. They wanted to charge us for something that they made wrong. The only good thing about this place was the mariachis playing. Ever since this place opened, I been wanting to stop by. A couple of girlfriends and I decided to stop by for lunch. Which I might add, they have $10 lunch specials during the week. As soon as you walk in, the restaurant is beautiful. Beautiful flowers hanging from the ceiling and murals that highlight Mexican culture. Make sure to bring your camera to capture the ambience. First time here with my gorgeous friend. To start off the artwork inside is gorgeous, it's a loud environment, they have live entertainment and definitely a party vibe going. There was a lovely friend going around hyping up everyone with some shots of tequila or mescal which ever you prefer, he made the experience so much fun! The food took a while to get to our table but we were so entertained we didn't really get bothered by it. The taste was definitely worth the wait, the meat was nice and tender and flavorful. The molcajete came with a salsa inside and omg was that so flavorful the appetizer guacamole was delicious too. The mole was their best of the three, the green chile one was a bit runny for me in regards to texture, I'm not the type that likes creamy enchiladas and this one feels like store bought with heavy whipping cream added for richness (the wife loved it though) and the chipotle one was addicting to say the least. Great plate paired with rice and beans. Really want to try their fajitas next time looks amazing! Service was beautiful, very attentive waiters and even those that weren't ours checked on us.
