Been to this place a few times before. Really enjoy this place. The food is great and the drinks are really good too. Both the alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are great. Staff are friendly and professional but sometimes it's hit or miss. They can get pretty packed around lunch time. I also heard that they have a phenomenal taco-tuesday deal. Interior and exterior is very clean and exceptionally pleasant. Restrooms are decent . Prices are not too bad either. All in all a good experience and I highly recommend this place to any and everyone.

How this place is averaging 3 star is beyond me because everything was great. First the food tasted really good, I had the taco & tamale plate combo and the chicken enchilada. First the taco was excellent, I can't go to a Taco Bell or del taco anymore, I believe a hard shell ground beef taco should be packed with cheese and that is what this restaurant provided. It was full of flavor, packed with cheese, and crunchy. The tamale was also delicious, it was moist and had great flavor, which is a change because I've never had a moist tamale before until now, everywhere I've gone I've had a dry tamale. The enchilada was also delicious, the chicken was moist. For sure I would come back here as imo this is one of those places that is nostalgic to the area.

A dear friend of mine suggested we meet at Moreno's for Margaritas and catch up conversation. A gorgeous OC day was on tap so we each made the trip. The restaurant is surrounded by beautiful plants, wisteria, bougainvillea, and various palms and succulents. Sitting outdoors would have been lovely if it weren't for busy Chapman Ave. That didn't seem to deter the numerous guests who made that choice though. We opted for indoors in the quiet and A/C. Service was prompt and efficient. We tend to lean on the customize everything side of the menu, but the staff didn't skip a beat! The menu is extensive - if you can't find something you like, I'm sure there's something they can whip up for you. All the options you're used to in combos or a la cart. Margs were ice cold and delicious. Tacos, enchiladas and all the fixins tasted just like they came out of grandma's kitchen. The salsa didn't blow my hair back - it was tasty but didn't have any spicy heat that I love. Now this spot is quite a drive for me, but if I were in the area, I'd plan to visit again. If not for the beautiful setting, the service will win you over. Easy to find. Loads of parking. A terrific spot for groups, large tables and plenty of space outdoors. Possibly indoors too. Definitely worth a try, especially if you're in the area.

We went for taco Tuesday I got one chicken and one ground beef taco. I barely finished the chicken taco and had to take the second one home. We went on taco Tuesday so the tacos were like $2.95 each. Such a great deal! We also got some refried beans to go with the chips. The service was ok. Nothing special. We sat in the patio and was amazing. The gardens surrounding the restaurant are beautiful. It was a very pretty and comfortable place.

This place is STILL a great place to eat after all the years I have been coming here. It's a true pleasure when you get Chile Verde that is so flavorful and the pork is "melts in your mouth" tender" on the lunch special Tostada Grande. My sister got the Pollo Tostada Grande and it was SOOOO flavorful and tender also. Don't forget to ask for the Mexican carrots on the front end of the meal.

    Seasonal deviled eggs. Also YUM.

We visited Homecomin' at Disney Springs while in town for business. The food was delicious and the location's hospitality was on full display! We ordered several items because we couldn't decide! Fried pickle and seasonal deviled eggs (I can't remember the name but it had bacon on top!) to start, Skillet-fried Chicken Paillard, and BBQ Salmon for our entrees, with The Honey Bee drinks. We only finished half the food and it was all soooo good! It wasn't a rushed dining experience and started off with Gary, our server, making excellent food and drink recs. Managers were table touching and we honestly felt we were part of one giant family by the time we left. We will definitely go back the next time we're at Disney Springs. Thank you, Gary, Rob, Jose, and Morgan for making us feel so welcome!

After spending the morning at the cemetery honoring my aunt's 20-year memorial, our family decided to gather for a meal at Moreno's Restaurant in Orange -- and it was the perfect place for us to come together. We had a large group of about 30 people, which is never easy for any restaurant to handle, but they accommodated us so well. They seated us at one long table so we could all sit together, talk, and share memories. It meant a lot to keep everyone connected instead of being split up. The food was excellent. I ordered the carne asada plate, and the meat was cooked to perfection -- tender, flavorful, and seasoned just right. You can tell they know how to prepare their dishes with care. For dessert, I had the arroz con leche, and it was amazing. It was the perfect balance of sweetness and comfort, especially after an emotional day. The ambiance truly stood out. The hacienda-style patio with trees created such a beautiful and peaceful atmosphere. The Spanish-style architecture inside, along with the fountain, made the whole experience feel warm and inviting. It has that classic, authentic charm that makes you want to stay and enjoy the moment. Most importantly, the staff was incredible. They were extremely patient, attentive, and very organized -- which is impressive considering we were a party of 30. Everything came out smoothly, and they made sure we were taken care of without making us feel rushed. If you're in Orange and looking for a place with great food, beautiful ambiance, and outstanding service, go to Moreno's. It was exactly what our family needed that day -- good food, a peaceful setting, and time together.

The crispy beef tacos are the best. It's very American Mexican food. But good. Don't expect super authentic. Good Chips and salsa and the prices are good. Taco Tuesday - taco for $2.85 - 10/7/25. Such a good deal. Monday Margaritas - they have a special on Mondays for margaritas. Didn't get the price. .

When making reservations a $25 deposit is required per person but will be applied to your bill day of visit. The hostess was very kind upon check in and took us to the back where the 46 door is. She provided us a code and explained the time limit along with house rules. We were then told to knock on the door and proceed with the experience. Kudos to the owner as this is the only speakeasy in the OC that has a true speakeasy feel entrance. They had a gentleman open the peephole and ask for the entry code. Once we said the code we entered a really cool mine shaft area. The attention to detail was on point and I was impressed! We were then taken upstairs to a private bar where there are four tables of four so a max of 16. This makes sense as to why reservations are hard to come by. The only ding about seating is you are sat with strangers it is not a private table. Luckily we had a fun older couple at our table so it made the conversation more lively. Otherwise don't go here with an expectation of an intimate/ private date night. They also offer a limited food menu but looked very promising. However, we were here for a night cap so just dabbled in drinks. The bartender had a seasonal menu of 4 cocktails he created. He explained the drinks and then had us try each one with a straw. We then placed our order based on what we liked. He did say if we were not a fan he could create us our own personal cocktail as well. The old fashion he created was phenomenal! Overall, a cool little spot in the OC. Do wish they were open later as they do close at 11pm on Friday and Saturday.

After a farewell dinner to/at Gulliver's Prime Ribs Of Beef, our party of six continued the evening several miles away at Stowaway for some light bites and libations. Personally, I was all about the Hawaiiana tiki culture and tried to live it every day. Founded by co-owners Leonard Chan and Dominic Iapello, its current home of barely three years in a former dive bar came about when they unceremoniously had to leave the original location. With its proximity to Disneyland's Enchanted Tiki Room and the very niche underground-like society of tiki culture, they found their footing with a consistent customer base and the thrill of island escapism through colorful cocktails, pleasurable pupus, and tropical trimmings. Would I stow myself away somewhere inside and never leave!? PURCHASE(S) Don Q Punch Bowl ($38.00): Made with Don Q's Cristal Silver, Anejo, and 151 Gold Rums, respectively, peach brandy, passion fruit, pineapple juice, and citrus juices, this flaming concoction was rumtastic in every way possible as the tropical juices just made it that much sweeter. There were more ice chips than I liked, but it was a fun trough to drink out of for the four of us who wanted to imbibe. Coconut Shrimp 6pc ($12.00): Breaded and flash-fried plump shrimp served with a sweet chili dipping sauce, these were tasty and perfectly paired with the Don Q cocktail I was drinking. Stowaway Fries ($17.00): Constructed with a pile of crisp golden spud sticks, rum braised pork, and topped with a hearty gravy and sunny-side up egg, this loco moco fries dish was slamming while the slightly charred juicy pork had me squealing with enjoyment. SERVICE We had reservations, so once our entire party arrived, they quickly seated us in a cool cave-live separate alcove for more privacy. Our server arrived with menus, suggestions, and glasses of water. Minutes later, we all ordered at once, and everything (drinks and food) arrived within ten minutes. Because we had another reservation inside the same bar, we informed our male server and to let us know when we were allowed to go there. All was casual, chill, and somewhat on island time - aloha and mahalo! PARKING (FREE): They shared a medium-sized private lot with several other businesses who were closed at this time with plenty of spots - 'nuff said. ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE Located within a strip mall, you opened the front door and walked into an island oasis as if you were a cast member on "Gilligan's Island" with thatched roof material above you, tiki statues displaced on all of the volcanic-looking walls, collections of tiki mugs past and present for purchase, a central square bar with plenty of stools, and seemingly small dark nooks and private spaces where naughty things could happen. No natural lighting whatsoever while an assortment of extremely low-lit electric lights barely guided you along. There were no TVs while I recalled various styles of music played in the background along with chatter and clamor of conversations in all directions. ATTIRE Although I was actually dressed appropriately for the occasion in an aloha shirt, linen pants, and flip-flops, this place was totally casual, so a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops would suffice. OVERALL I had a cowabunga time at Stowaway, and I couldn't wait to return to try more of their awesome-soundling elixirs. I loved tiki bars, and although this was generally out of my range, I'd make a special trip or two here. My one drink was lip-smacking good, the pupus were yummy, the prices were reasonable enough, the atmosphere was stupendous, and the service was friendly and professional. While the drinks menu was loaded with tropical cocktails, an impressive rum selection, and a decent assortment of local craft beers, the food menu was somewhat limited. And, the bar had happy hour TU-FR 4pm-6pm. Plus, I always preferred to support small local mom & pop businesses. I found complete value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $75.00 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). I remember someone reached out from the business saying things have changed and got a new KJ thats better and should give it another go. Well 3+ years later I gave it another chance with a group hoping for improvement but instead the experience is just as bad. The sound is terrible. Mics kept cutting in and out and only half the speakers were actually working. Its sad bc there were some really good singers who were pretty much singing without a working mic. I let the KJ (some old white bald guy with a goatee) know and he had this IDGAF response and didnt do anything. The icing on the cake was me buying drinks and waiting for over an hour to get to my song when I noticed I was passed over for people who signed up after me. I let the KJ know to check and he has me on the bottom of the list like I never moved. I explained how I was waiting over an hour and he began to get defensive and tell me basically he cant trust what I say and doesnt remember me. If dude was doing his job properly this wouldn't happen. How hard is it to go down a signup sheet in order. Its crazy. KJ was also bartending and cleaning tables. Advice to management/owner: 1. Spend a few hundred bucks and fix your karaoke system. If this was Asian-owned it would have never been an issue because Asians take their karaoke seriously. 2. Get another KJ and get rid of the bald old white dude with the goatee. He is an unhappy person who doesn't like his job and it shows. 1 Star!
