    Awesomely toasted

Every time I come here the place is awesome. Yes it's a taco cart, but I can a fully loaded burrito for $4. They are fast efficient and they let you choose what you want to put on your burrito before they roll it.

Taco Toro, amazing burritos for only $3
    James F.

Price: You can't beat it! An amazing fully loaded burrito for only $3. Comparable burritos are between $7-$8 at Cafe Rio and Costa Vida. Two tacos for $1.50 A large quesadilla for $3 Food: You can make your burrito as full as you want it then they'll wrap it for you, no problem. I've had almost every meat they have, and I keep coming back. The extra toppings and sauces add a kick to everything. Tip: Unless you like spicy, don't get the onion, cilantro, and pepper mix...it's got some kick!! Location: 800 South & State Street, convenient location avoiding the hustle and bustle of the downtown. Parking: Sears happily provides their huge parking lot (which is used more for the two taco stands on the corner than for actual Sears customers...sad but true). Also I've noticed alot of people use the hit and run technique... that is they just pull off the side of the road on 8th, order their food, and jump back in the car without even turning off the car. I'm not to that level yet. Service: If you want to practice your Spanish this is a perfect place to do it. I feel like I'm on the streets of Mexico. That might scare some of you, but I've eaten here quite a bit and the only sickness I've got was the uncontrollable desire to buy another burrito.

    Asada and Pastor tacos
    Drew A.

2 tacos for $1.50. If you're hungry get at least 6 tacos. Tried the Asada and Pastor tacos. Tacos are pretty basic and flavor is somewhat lacking. Put all the toppings on my tacos and something in the sauces or pico de gallo was super spicy and drowned out any flavor. Cheap and fun if you're looking for a quick bite to eat.

Burrito- make sure after you out in your fix'ns to ask them to professionally wrap it for you.

Very spicy (good thing!) when ordering the spicy meats and the spicy red sauce. Convenient location on the south side of the Sears parking lot, which means easy parking and a nice wall to sit and eat. Their $3 burrito is huge, especially when you fill them up with all the fix'ns of your choice. The $3 quesadilla is also quite large and can be filled with your choice of meat. Tacos are what people usually go for and at 75¢ a piece you can get four different varieties for only $3. My only complaint is that sometimes it can be a bit confusing as to who behind the taco cart is doing what and who exactly to pay. Usually there is a third guy who just does the money and that can be a little confusing. Also, only limited choices for beverages but I don't usually drink soda anyway so wasn't a big deal for me. They also seem to be quite honest. When I was there a guy in line was complaining about how the he thought the tacos were $1 each and he was being ripped off, they guy behind the cart was explaining it was 2 tacos for $1.50 and the customer was still confused and angry (and obviously could not do the math). Clearly they could have made the customer happy by keeping his extra money but they charged his fairly.... I don't think the customer ever really figured out the math worked out in his favor.

Feeling cheap? Craving tacos? Carnitas, asada and chicharrones tacos. Dinner was $3. Freshly made tacos, condiments on the side. Slathered my tacos in the guacamole salsa. Got my tacos in literally 2 minutes

Wow. Great price with great flavour and quality. i often feel bad that the quality is not great in all the taco stands but this taco stand is not one of them. They have a simple menu with super low prices. a 5 star based on the cost and quality factor.

Just ate here. So good!! We tried tacos galore... Pollo, asada, chicharron, carnitas and Barbacoa tacos. All were excellent with a dose of onions, cilantro, lime and hot sauce. Our favorites were Barbacoa and carnitas. But a special nod out to the pollo. Love chicken tacos from this food cart. Heads up. Lots of homeless and crazies around here.

Absolutely delicious!…read more I got a BOGO free burrito coupon from their FB feed, so why not? So glad I did! I had the spicy green chili burrito--delicious! Smothered inside and out with their very fine green chili. The tortillas seem homemade, it was fresh and good. My wife had the carne asada burrito. I got a bite of it and the beef is delicious! Such good flavors. I also had the pinto beans and rice, both are very good. The horchata, made with almond milk, was creamy and just the right amount of cinnamon and sweet. They serve flour and corn tortilla chips with three salsas. The chips were excellent. The flour chips are deep fried, really good. The red salsa was the hottest but not bad for heat. The green was good. Now the crema sauce was my favorite, it is really excellent. Nice restaurant, comfortable chairs, nice decor that goes along with their theme. Looks like a comfortable bar. Service was friendly and accommodating. I would like to eat here again and take advantage of the FB coupon for their tacos. Highly recommended! 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!

The food is still very good here and some of my previous gripes are no longer an issue. I can now order tacos and burritos à la carte again. While there is still no way to go pick whatever salsa I want and the options are still more limited than before, at least they bring out 3 of my favorites with the chips now. The drinks are still just okay , a shadow of their former selves and I will never be able to accept the loss of my beloved watermelon margarita, the way they used to make it, but I will concede the drinks are decent. Service was fine. Parking is a hassle but that's just Sugarhouse. ‍ So yeah, I guess I'm back to "willing to eat here once in a while", from "I'm never eating here again". They even have a nice taco Tuesday deal which I may hit up in the near future.

Had to ask for tortillas when main entree came out, didn't realize I was missing rice and beans too that came 15 min later after I asked if they had any other salsa... 3. Unfortunately, our experience with our server, Letty, completely changed our opinion of this restaurant. There were two main issues that made our visit frustrating: 1. We did not receive our drinks until after our food arrived, and we actually had to remind our server that we were still waiting on them. When Letty brought out our food, we politely asked about our two cokes and were told, "Give her more time." We felt we had already been very patient and only asked after our food had arrived. Waiting for drinks while eating a meal was frustrating, especially since the restaurant was not busy and was actually starting to slow down during the last hour we were there (around 8-9 PM). 2. While we were eating, Letty refilled our water and the table next to us, then continued having a long conversation with the neighboring table while standing very close to us. It felt like we were being completely ignored, and the lack of awareness for our personal space made it difficult for my husband especially to comfortably enjoy his meal. We understand that everyone has busy shifts, but the level of attentiveness and service we experienced was disappointing. We left feeling frustrated and unlikely to return after this visit and would NOT recommend this place to anyone.

Margaritas are now $7. Yep. $7. Tasty, but even more so for $7. Grab a seat, order a couple of carne asada street tacos and an order of their insanely good chipotle glazed chicken wings (three per order) and a house El Cholo margarita. Yes, these deals are only for folks at the bar, but it's a nice place to be.
