My husband and I stop here a couple of times a month and the food is always tops! One of our favorite restaurants BUT... The reason for my 3 star review is that at our last several trips our orders have been wrong. We always order take out as we live 13 miles away so can't run back to get the orders corrected. In our last two orders these have been the problems: 1. Tzatziki sauce has been missing. Caught this before we left the parking lot. 2. Was given only half a cup of coffee. 3. Ordered an omelette with gyro meat, tomatoes, and feta, no onions. Got home to find no tomatoes, feta. 4. Ordered cheesesteak with lettuce, tomatoes, and mayo. Got home to find no cheese on the cheesesteak. 5. Ordered unseasoned fries. Fries were seasoned. This is unacceptable. The problems only seem to be when one person takes the order. She's sweet and pleasant but cannot get an order correct. In the future we may bypass Santorini or just walk out if someone else is not available to take our order. We'll miss the food but won't miss the frustration of getting home to find our orders wrong. :( read more

We have been to Santorini Grill for dinner before and had fabulous chicken, souvlaki platters. They are absolutely delicious! today we tried breakfast. There are two reasons to not get a five star review one they open for breakfast at 11 where most breakfast places start at six or 7 AM so really it was tough to wait that long second is the price they do not have platter prices. Everything is all a cart. The food itself is good. The pancakes are as big as the plate as you can see in the photos I would highly recommend not getting two for yourself. They are so big and filling next time we will split the two pancakes. We each got scrambled eggs, but I would have preferred that they were traditional scrambled rather than omelette style scrambled meaning they were very thin, and flipped rather than truly scrambled. We each got an order of bacon and one order of sausage each order of bacon had three strips in it and two big rounded sausages. Again, if we went there another time, we would get one order of each and split it. Total cost was $26 for two breakfast. If we would have just scaled back a bit it could've been under 20 we definitely brought some food home. read more

I have been a long time customer and this is probably the last time I will visit this establishment. We ordered two cheeseburgers and a Zorba salad. The cheeseburgers were very small and overpriced. The Zorba salad had browned lettuce and the tomatoes were not ripe. The salad was so bad, my wife did not eat it past the first bite. This place used to be great. Ok I had the pastitsio last night and heated it up in the microwave for a minute. Now I've had pastitsio at least 4 or 5 times at Greek restaurants and I've fixed it at least three times. It's very time consuming and you need the correct ingredients. I will say this was the worst pastitsio I've ever had! Now I know why they gave me such a small portion I would be ashamed to sell it also. I think it was left over from the day before or longer. It was terribly dry( not enough Greek cheese) not enough Bechamel and way too much cinnamon. If you order this ask to see it... if it's dark brown and dry looking turn it down! read more

After seeing the reviews, I decided to venture out from Winchester and make the 20 minute drive from my home to get a gyro (as Winchester doesn't really have any places). I love Berryville, it is a small quaint town with a nice little downtown main street area. I online ordered my gyro to go and added feta to it. I walked in about 8 minutes after placing my order and it was ready, which was great. Paid and walked out. The guy at the register was very nice and friendly. No issues there. I thought the gyro was affordable ($10 plus tax). But unfortunately it was severely lacking in... well everything. There was a massive glob of sauce and a massive chunk of feta plopped between the pita and meat. The pita tasted frozen then thawed. The meat unfortunately was cold and tasted like it had been taken out of a freezer and left to thaw then put on the gyro. I wanted this to be better but unfortunately it was not. Not sure about any other items but there was about 10 people in the restaurant for lunch so it seemed like a decently popular spot for such a small town on a Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. Maybe I will try something different another time. read more

Over the last couple of years we have been visiting Berryville, we know that Santorini is reliably good food. I have had the Pastitchio, and Spanakopita, as well as the Baklava. All delicious and good quality. I love Greek food and this is a great place for it. We will be back to try Moussaka. The restaurant is in an old fast-food building in a residential section of the small town, but the service is "fast" and excellent and the food is great, so I'll ignore the lack of ambiance. read more

Who else had a bathroom on the outside of the building besides "The Freeze" and gas stations- Huh? That was a pretty bad introduction. Well, here's the review!! Santorini Grill is located in the sleepy country-town area of Berryville VA. Where the heck did these guys come from?! Holy heck!! They have a real gyros grill-spit in the kitchen, and they offer real turmeric and cinnamon rice pilaf as an alternative to French fries...even though their French fries are superbly seasoned! We love their wonderfully seasoned falafel (even though I don't think that's really a Greek food), and mild, but tasty tzatziki, fried zucchini, and baklava. Didn't give the spanakopita too high of ratings because it tasted like frozen spinach, but the filo was flakey, so not bad. The workers there are warm, relaxed, helpful and nice. The place is very clean...even down to their prior Tastee Freeze outside bathrooms! read more

Wow! What a gem. I happened to be in this area on a road trip with family. We were hungry, and so as I often do, I turned to yelp and searched for lunch near our current location. We LOVE Greek food, so when we saw there was a Greek spot nearby, we had to stop by. From the outside, this eatery isn't much to look at. It actually looks like a mom & pop shop or diner from the outside. But don't be fooled by the aesthetics of its exterior! As soon as you open the door to the restaurant, your nose is met with the appetizing aroma of Greek cuisine. Your order is taken at the front counter, where you pay and then find your own seat. Easy peasy. We ordered the gyro sandwich and my Dad ordered the gyro platter (which includes fried zucchini and fries). My Dad also opted to order a starter salad instead of fries. My husband ordered the chicken souvlaki platter. My Dad's salad came out first, and it LOOKED fresh. He kept commenting about how it was so delicious. Our food took about 10-15 minutes to cook, which was fine by us. When our food arrived, everything looked and smelled amazing (read: fresh)!! The portion sizes were large too. Everything tasted delicious. I don't know when I'll be in Berryville again, but the next time I am, I'll be sure to stop by this spot. read more

Not a great experience. At $17 for a serving, we expected authentic Greek food. But , the Spanikopita was more like frozen spinich soufflé with a buttermilk biscuit-like crust. Instead of crisp, buttered phyllo. ( Or, even Trader Joe's frozen spanikopita is more authentic.) To top it off, it had been reheated in a microwave! Disappointing, at best! Got dinner delivered to my friend's new spa down the street after her Open House. I ordered the Chicken Souvlaki Platter which came with fried zucchini and french fries. My friend got the Greek omelet (she said it was to die for). The souvlaki was very good and the plate overall was huge. I gave my friend the zucchini, though I did have one and it was pretty good. I think anytime you order food for delivery or to go that has fried portions, it'll never be as good as it would be if you ate in house. That said, our food was properly still hot when we received it and everything tasted freshly made. Prices are super reasonable. I bet this place is great for breakfast. read more
