We really enjoyed this as our first stop in town for lunch! We were hungry and this gyros sounded like the perfect cure. Service was very friendly and timely. I really enjoyed the lamb gyro bowl, the dressing was to die for. The baklava was SOOO good too. I wanted to try one of every flavor. It was a fun spot to sit outside and people watch too.

We were stopped in Palm Springs while traveling through and stumbled upon Santorini Gyro when looking for somewhere to eat lunch. They have a covered patio for outdoor dining, which was great because our dog was with us. The service was excellent. Our order was taken right away and our order came up quickly. I loved the chicken kebab plate. It was so delicious and I appreciated how much Tzatziki and Hummus was included with the order. The waiter brought out a water bowl for our dog, which was a really appreciated touch. This is a great spot!

Take me back to Santorini

If you've never been to Greece.... Can you truly say that you have really lived?? Yeah, Greece just hits different Well, call me Lucky because I HAVE been to Greece and I can honestly tell you from my own personal experience... It. Was. Nothing. But. Pure. Magic. Yeah, April 2017 we did Athens and Santorini, but don't you worry, I intentionally left a small piece of my heart just so I can return again one day to get it back! So those of you have haven't been to Greece, do not even fret. Please just promise me, no better yet, promise yourself, that you will at least look into it. Until then... If you just happen to come across an authentic Greek restaurant, Greek Festival or even just Greek Street Food on the street in your own hometown... I encourage you to experience why their food, their culture and their people are the real deal. ----------------------- While visiting Palm Springs in October 2025, while going in and out of the various shops on N. Palm Canyon Drive, it was approaching lunch time and there it was... Santorini Gyro I looked at my wife. She looked at me. And without even saying a word, we knew exactly what the plan was and trust; asking the kids if they were ok with us eating there was not a part of the plan. From the outside to walking inside... We were immediately transported back to Santorini all while still be in the middle of a desert. The Blue and white decor. The Blue mood lighting. The table lamps. The menu with all of the Greek Classics. We felt like we were back in 2017, but this time, we had 3 extra travel companions... Our 3 beautiful girls. So now it was our chance to have them experience the Food that we fell in love nearly 8 years ago... Their choice.... Drum roll please....... The Chicken Tenders & Fries with Ketchup!! Haha These kids need to get out more! Lol My wife and I split the Gyro Plate (option of Chicken or Lamb) which comes with a Greek Salad, warm Pita bread, Tzatziki & Hummus. I added a bowl of Red Lentil Soup (Ezo Gelin) served with warm pita and it made both my stomach and my face smile with pure joy! Of course, this wouldn't be a true nod to being back in Greece without a Greek beer which was served alongside a frosted, ice cold, glass. The food, the service, the ambiance... Heck, if I was blindfolded, taken to Santorini Gyro and then my blindfold was removed, I would honestly think that I was back in the motherland to reclaim my heart. Thankfully, it was just an authentic Greek restaurant in the heart of Palm Springs that serves up delicious food and pays homage to the people of Greece. Until then, Mark my words... My family and I WILL return one day to Greece!!!

Everything went well. All the dishes were delicious ! I'm specially happy to find excellent kebabs and Rose petal Turkish delight!!! Service was excellent and needs to be noted . Polite, courteous, and attentive. This will be my new go to for Mediterranean food. OMG the baklava looks so good !!!!

So my brother and I went to this fantastic Mediterranean restaurant (Santorini Gyro) in Palm Springs. It was an authentic Greek and Middle Eastern restaurant with dishes from Turkey, Greece, and Iran. The dishes were truly authentic with regional flavors. However, the hunt was on for the perfect lamb shank in the Palm Springs / Palm Desert area. Well, I found it! It was incredible and flavorful; one of the best I've had. Meat was truly tender, fell off the bone, and the marrow was sucked out dry. The pita bread and hummus was also very tasty and their Greek salad was such a great side dish. Worth a visit! Sorry for the pics being a dark blue, it was the lighting ambience of the restaurant.

Food and service was excellent. Hamit was our server and he was very attentive and polite. We were walking around down town and checking out the different menus and we decided on this place and I'm glad we did.

Nov, 2025. My husband and I had lunch at Santorini Gyro on a recent weekday. The restaurant has two locations in Palm Springs, and on each in Cathedral City and Rancho Mirage. We ate at the downtown Palm Springs location on N Palm Canyon Dr. The restaurant offers a full Greek menu, not only gyros. We split our entrees, with my husband ordering the Gyro Sandwich Plate ($17.99), which featured lamb gyro slices rolled in pita bread with tzatziki sauce, and served with a side Greek salad. The meal was tasty, and the quantity of food was good. The tzatziki had a hint of zingy lemon. The salad had lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes, a few black olives, a wedge of feta cheese. *I ordered the Pastitsio ($18.99), which is sometimes referred to as Greek lasagna because of its layered structure and comfort-food appeal. The restaurant described it as mastacciolini (a smooth tubular pasta), tomato sauce, Romano cheese, seasoned ground beef, topped with bechamel sauce, and served with pita bread wedges and a side Greek salad-lettuce mix. The pastitsio was tasty but light on the middle layer (the meat), and it didn't seem to have any tomato sauce. We both particularly liked the bechamel topping, which seemed to have a cheese incorporated into the white sauce, creating a golden, custard-like finish. The restaurant offers a tempting menu of Greek desserts but we were too full to order any, this time. We had very good service from our server, Hamit, who was friendly and attentive. We chose to eat inside (covered front patio seating was also available), and the ambiance was relaxing, with decorations in the blues of Greek water and the yellows of lemons. Uplifting Greek music played that played in the background was at a reasonable volume. The prices were a bit high compared to home, but seemed in line with typical Palm Springs prices. That said, the Greek restaurants back home are not as nicely decorated nor do they have Hamit as a server!

Good service, quick, friendly. Food came out quick. Great to sit outside and enjoy the nice weather. Street parking so can be limited depending on time. Food was good, some misses but overall delicious. We did get the appetizer sample plate which was perfect, kids enjoyed trying all the flavors. Shrimp was good but we were surprised at the small portion size. Overall, decent food, would come by to try more dishes. Happy eating!

Enjoying lunch!

Amazing Food and Great Vibe at Santorini Opa! Wow! I am absolutely amazed by how delicious the food is at Santorini in the heart of Palm Springs. I had the red snapper, and it was cooked to perfection--so flavorful and delicious! It came with a fresh salad, and I also tried the lentil soup, which is my favorite--comforting and full of flavor. To top off the meal, I treated myself to a Turkish coffee and Baklava --both were the perfect way to end a fantastic dining experience. The atmosphere is lively and engaging, especially on Saturday nights when they have live guitar music. It's such a fun and inviting vibe. The service is outstanding--my server was incredibly attentive, friendly, and always made sure I had everything I needed. There was always someone available to help, making the experience even better. If you're visiting Palm Springs, this spot is an absolute must! I'll definitely be back.

I've already given reviews of Santorini but it was far there Cathedral City location. They're down town location is every bit as good. The wait staff is very polite and helpful. Their service time is quick and very good. And their Greek cuisine is authentic and delicious I do like the salads the spinach pie the gyro and the moussaka. All are very delicious. I had a little extra olive oil to my salads that does kick it up a notch.

The decor is cute, the waitress was super nice and helpful, and the food was absolutely fantastic! I had the Gyro Plate with lamb. All the other Greek/Mediterranean places I've eaten always have a heaping amount of rice as a filler for the gyro plate; this place doesn't include rice on that plate, so you get a generous portion of gyro meat, instead. And the flavor of the meat - oh my word it was delicious, plus super moist! A lot of the time I've found it to be dry at other restaurants, but not here! My sis had the California Greek Salad with a chicken kabob. She said it was delicious, but she did wish it came with two kabobs because she would've like more meat, but that was her only complaint. Next time I'm in the CV and am craving Mediterranean food, I will definitely come back to this spot!

The little tomatoes on the skewers added a nice acidic pop of flavor to the dish. The pita bread was fresh and soft and the sauces added to the overall taste. The dish also came with rice. I was a little disappointed with the flavor; I was expecting a saffron-like rice. The service was nice and friendly. The ambiance was ok; standard strip-mall layout.

We arrived 15 minutes early and decided to have a cocktail in bar while waiting for table. We were told they were running 5-10 minutes behind but the Maitre D came to seat us before our cocktails were even ordered. lol We were sat on the fabulous patio with a gorgeous view of the scene. Good people watching if that's your thing. The first white jacketed back waiter took our water order and brought warm baguette with butter. For cocktails we had absolutely perfect gimlets on the rocks. Not too sweet or tart. Just right. Then another brought us an appetizer as a mea culpa for running late! ( They never were!) It was a wonderful cauliflower soup. Our main waiter came by to introduce himself, Jonathon( excellent, request him!) and explain the menu which was handwritten on white board. Love that! We ordered filet tartare, lobster ravioli and sea bass. They were all perfectly prepared and delicious. For dessert we devoured the chocolate soufflé. Don't skip on a chocolate soufflé! They are a rare commodity in dining these days. Other reviews noted high prices. I live in a big city where the prices are comparable if not higher. So we found them commensurate with the quality of food and level of service. I would dine here weekly if I were local, or at least cocktails at the bar. I finally checked in at the nearby Hilton Palm Springs, but I didn't want to miss the daily happy hour (3pm-6pm) for some dining savings at Kaiser Grille. I've had this place on my bookmark list for a couple of years, so I was excited to finally be here. Opened on March 17, 1992 (St. Patrick's Day) in a former premium women's boutique, it has become an institution since then. Was it worth the wait to stuff my grille with their drinks and food!? PURCHASE(S) Coachella Valley Brewing Co. CDMX Mexican Lager 5.0% ABV 16floz Draft ($8.00 HH): Bright amber color, malty salty aroma, light body, malty salty sweet flavor, clean crisp finish, and malty sweet aftertaste. The Chop House Burger + Substitution Fries ($19.50 HH + $4.50 HH): A truly simple 8oz burger with minimal fixings, the patty was juicy, lightly seasoned, and tender between a gently-toasted bun. The spud sticks were a good portion, golden, crispy, steamy, and just tasty. Pomegranate Lemon Drop Cocktail ($16.00): Citrusy sweet with a slight syrupiness to it, this was a lovely elixir while the pomegranate added some thickness to the overall consistency. BBQ Pork Ribs w/Coleslaw 3pc ($19.00 HH): On the smallish side with a nice sweet and tangy sauce, the meat was tender and fell off the bone as I sucked each rib dry. The coleslaw acted as a nice palate cleanser. But, at $6.00/rib, I found this a bit pricey. Goose Island Beer Co. Goose IPA Beer 5.9% ABV 12floz Bottle ($9.50): Bright amber color, hoppy aroma, light body, slight fruity hoppy flavor, smooth finish, and light hoppy aftertaste. Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. Pils Pilsner Beer 4.7% ABV 16floz Draft ($9.50): Bright amber color, earthy malty aroma, light body, earthy malty piney flavor, crisp finish, and malty piney aftertaste. 10" The Spicy Italian Pizza 6pc ($26.00): Generally considered the standard "small" pizza, this wood-fired pie was made with genoa hard salami, capicola ham, calabrese sausage, zesty sauce, Italian mozzarella, and parmesan cheese, on an airy crispy crunchy chewy slightly charred lovely crust. Aesthetics aside, the meats were wonderful with a tinge of saltiness while it could've used more sauce (I was a sauce guy). I enjoyed this pie although it was rather pricey for what you got. SERVICE Warmly greeted by a middle-aged gentleman with menus, he walked me over to the bar where I was equally greeted by a female bartender/server. I quickly yet methodically placed my orders throughout my time there, enjoyed a casual chatting with her, and everything arrived in a timely manner. It was a pleasurable time well spent - cheers! PARKING (FREE; N/A this instance): I took the roughly ten-minute walk from the Hilton Palm Springs, so this wasn't an issue for me. Otherwise, there appeared to be several garages and lots with plenty of spots along the main drag of Palm Canyon Dr. and other side streets. However, please carefully read all posted signs as many are timed parking - 'nuff said. ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE A beautiful clean modern airy open restaurant that maintained most of its original 1956 charm of that era's architectural design. With a ton of seating throughout the interior among several rooms and the exterior patio with little to no decorations, you had room to roam. I saddled-up to a bar area where I always found more comfort chatting with strangers. Plenty of natural lighting both inside and on the patio while an assortment of electric ceiling lights filled in the rest. There were several muted TVs at least at the bar while I couldn't recall any background music since I was chatting with the bartender the entire time. ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL I was very happy to finally try Kaiser Grille, and I would gladly return the next time I was in the area. I wasn't a fan of the touristy pricing, the food was good but not great, but the impeccable service and gorgeous place and surroundings made it worthwhile. Again, there was a daily happy hour albeit a somewhat pricier one. I found very good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $122.00 BEFORE any discounts, points usage, and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... AMEX! 4.0 STARS
