The food and service are just great The front area is pretty small and cramped, but doable if not busy. We had the beef stroganoff and pork chop dinner where I substituted roasted potatoes for their mashed potatoes

We had intended to come here several times, but for one reason or another (one day it was closed, another day there were no tables, etc.) we have not been able. We finally got lucky today. It was a weekday at lunch, and although there were several people, there was plenty of room for us. The decor is just what you would expect - casual with a European twist. This place serves french and Belgian food, and there are several Belgian decor touches, including a couple of references to the Mannequin Pis, which I remember from a trip to Brussels. Hubby was on medication which kept him from drinking alcohol, so in support, I did not order glass of wine. :-( Started with an order of six escargot, had lots of delicious garlic butter, just the way I like it. We ordered a Caesar salad with salmon. It was cuz you would expect, and delicious. We also ordered the special of the day which was couscous with lamb sausage, chicken leg, and roasted vegetables. It was absolutely fantastic. There are many awards hanging in this restaurant, and I could see why. There were several things on the menu that I would like to come back and try. Can't wait to do it!

Ask for Chris. What great service and really nice person. The food is amazing. Don't forget the escargot but my favorite is the bone marrow!!! Yum. The servers and the curbside bistro dinning experience makes you feel like you are in Paris. Enjoy

Amazing experience! Everything was incredible and out of this world- escargot, steak frites, bone marrow, bread/butter, crème brûlée! Unfortunately had a split plate when not requested, a group of 3 trying some items. Would definitely recommend and can't wait to come back!

I spoke w/mngr Sun & owner JC. Review is a direct result of phone calls. I could've written it after being hung up on, but took time to decompress. Character limit means I had to SIGNIFICANTLY edit what I originally wrote. This is short/blunt/abbreviated. My friend Chelsea & I had a "Galentine's" reservation 2/14 @ 7. We read menu online b4 booking. No full menu that nite. Twas a 3-course prix fixe menu @ $85/person. Unable to order most of what we'd hoped for. Holiday menu is online but idk if that was up when we made reservation 1/19. But https://pomme-frite.com/holiday-menu/ is NOT accurate to in-person menu. Site says Starter = Rustic French Demi Baguette. We did not receive that. We both ordered escargots as app. Site claims Chateau Steak & Bone Marrow was entree option, but it wasn't. I got Boneless Beef Short Ribs. Chelsea got Half A Duck L'Orange (not on site). Dessert: Chelsea, Tiramisu. Me, Chocolate Mousse. Ordered all 3 courses @ same time. Sat on patio w/heat lamps. Ours had no propane & all other tanks empty. Server offered a sweater. Nice, but not appropriate solution. I had a Cosmo, Chelsea a French 75. Escargots came @ 7:20. We heard ppl complaining they'd been waiting over an hour for entrees. Us too. Came @ 8:37. Had 2nd round of drinks while waiting, both got Cosmos. Food wasn't hot. Duck was dry. Tasted good, so didn't complain. 9:20 server says out of mousse. I didn't want anything else, ordered creme brulee to get $'s worth. Desserts ~9:30. Bill came. I mention heat lamp, long wait times, lack of mousse & ask, "Is there anything u can do to help us w/the bill?" Server spoke w/manager & 2 Cosmos comped. Paid @ 9:42. 12:30am I was involuntarily vomiting. Chelsea didn't get sick but left a review same night. I called 2/15 & spoke w/Sun saying I believe the short ribs made me sick & requested a partial refund. Sun knew who I was b/c she saw Chelsea's review. She said "there's no way" the food made me sick. "We sold 50 short ribs that night! No one else got sick! Maybe u just didn't digest well. It can't have been food poisoning that quick! U can Google it." Food poisoning ABSOLUTELY can manifest in 4 hours. Google "how quickly vomit after food poisoning" & results say "1-6 hours after consuming contaminated food." I reiterated other issues. She said, "Everyone was busy! Everyone had problems!" Maybe true, but not an excuse for overbooking beyond capacity to serve. She said drinks were comped & I agreed that'd been satisfactory til I threw up. Sun offered to comp a meal on next visit, but I had no intention to return. Sun said speak to JC for refund, but he wasn't available. Called back 2/16 @ 4:04. Staff says JC in at 6. Called back @ 6:32. Sun answers, says too busy, says call @ 10 when closed. Sun answers @ 10, gives phone to JC. JC asks how much $ I want back. I say $85. He was reluctant but agreed, handed phone back to Sun. Sun says she needs my credit card & phone # but adds, "You need to take the review down." I say, "I didn't post it, but I can ask Chelsea to remove it AFTER I get my refund." Sun insists review must be removed 1st. I say I'm not comfortable w/that & JC didn't say that was required. Hands phone back to JC. He says review must be removed to get refund. I repeat I'm not comfortable w/that. JC says, "Who's calling the shots here? Our food didn't make you sick. I don't know what you drank," insinuating I threw up b/c I was drunk. He says, "You're not the only one b****ing about service. U want ur money back, I'll give u ur money back. But 1st u have to take down the review." I told JC if he gave me a refund first I would gladly have Chelsea's review removed. If not, I would write an additional negative review. JC refused to refund unless Chelsea's review came down first. So I said, "I'll be writing my own negative review & never returning" & he hung up. Upper mngmt has no respect or integrity. Idk if they hid/flagged Chelsea's (Google) review as fake, but I don't see it rn. It's clear reviews hold importance to the business. Hope this one stays up.

    Bowl of Drunken Mediterranean Mussels

Pomme Frite brought us right back to drinking wine from a carafe and eating mussels and a baguette in France. From the " madame et monsieur " greeting to our server from France, we loved the authenticity of Pomme Frite. We loved the beet and goat cheese salad, as well as the drunken Mediterranean mussels. We ordered an extra baguette to soak up all of the delicious sauce. We got to practice our terrible French with our gracious waitress. We sat outside and enjoyed a beautiful night in Palm Springs.

Made a reservation and got seated right away when we arrived at the restaurant. The food was delicious and service was great. Loved the escargot, French onion soup, mussels, steak tartare and lamb shank. Overall a great Belgian / French meal experience in downtown Palm Springs! We explored the Thursday night market and then enjoyed a delicious French dinner. Had a nice seat in their patio area so we could see all the people walk by during the night market.

The best French food we've had in a long time. Great service and the food came out pretty fast. It's casual...kind of like a family-owned restaurant you'd find in France. I really wish they have one in LA but kinda glad because I'd be broke

Oh my gosh! Traveling around the world, I look for the best French Onion Soup! I found an excellent version here! Sooo deliciously authentic! My sister had the Beet Salad w/ Goat Cheese and loved that too! And at a neighboring table, a young Belgian woman thoroughly enjoyed the Mussels!!

I thought it would taste amazing. Food took over 20 min to come. I'm not docking then down did that really it was village fest night. But I expected better for something that's $30. It's kinda bland. The gravy doesn't really save it. Kinda found the host to be rude most of all. I think they need a friendlier host. He literally told a couple to go walk around for 30 min and come back since their reservation was in 30 min. He didn't even offer to have them sit to wait at the waiting area. He sat me outside and I asked for inside. Bugs got in my food. Waiter was meh. I boxed my own food with the box he brought. He didn't pre bus. I still left 20% because he was at least friendly compared to the host.

save your money & run run away terrible staff ( willy ) & owner cj is worst with how he writes back to complaints regarding his restaurant. he fights back instead of being understanding & sympathies. food was below average server willy cannot even explain the menu in english to americans so you end up not knowing what your eating ‍ they rush you to leave because they say restaurant closes at 9pm & kitchen as they say closes at 9:20pm . what a joke & liars. zero ambiance . just a show off old man waiter speaking broken french when he is from belgium & holland. absolutely disgusting everything & everyone. they are rude to the busser who's carrying thier restaurant on his shoulders and rude to customers who keep them open!!!!! save your money, time, pride & dignity and dont give them a nickle or a penny

During the month of August, they take their holiday break as it's pretty quiet in the desert. A lot of other businesses tends to do the same thing. We made sure to stop by for dinner right before they closed for the summer and when they opened back up, we were back. Opening night after their holiday break was the Friday of Labor Day weekend. And let me say, they were BUSY. People know about this place and that's a must. We've been coming for years as it's my favorite seafood restaurant in the desert. Right in the heart of downtown and literally walking distance from the bars along arena and the casino. Staff are alway so friendly and welcoming. Not only that, the two brothers are amazing. The sweetest and amazing at what they do, make amazing meals. They opened back up on Friday 9/4 but we stopped by Saturday 9/5. When we arrived around 7:30, the place was packed. The whole patio area was full of hungry people as well as inside. The kitchen bar top, bar area as well as the hi tops all were utilized. It's nice to be back knowing that you're going to have an amazing meal. Also we noticed a lot of their regulars back for opening night. You know it's a favorite as the regular are back for an amazing meal. It was a little wait for the kitchen counter seating but not too bad. Menu if you haven't checked it out is seafood and more seafood. They do offer some meat dishes if seafood isn't your thing. Friday, lobster bisque is offered. Basically everything we've had here has alway been excellent. Started off with the steamed green mussels in a white wine broths. The flavors and the meat mix with the broth, so good. Plus don't forget the garlic bread for dipping. Entrees, the Ruben which is my favorite. I can always get this and be happy each and every time. A wide selection of seafood tossed in a white wine with linguine, chefs kiss. Plus we tried the seafood kabobs for the first time which was quite nice. Very simple with jumbo prawns, scallops, seasonal fish and veggies skewered and grilled. Served with an orange chili glazed and choice of rice or pasta. The flavors were delicious and everything was cooked perfectly. The staffs are always so welcoming and friendly. Food of course is amazing and fresh. One of my favorite restaurants in Palm Springs that's a must for food. If you can, have a seat at the kitchen counter. You get to interact with the chefs and see all the amazing dishes being prepared. Basically the chefs table. Until next time.

I ordered the smoked salmon eggs Benedict and it was really good. The eggs were perfectly poached, the salmon was generous, and the hollandaise was creamy without feeling too heavy. I also liked that it came with fresh berries on the side, which made the whole plate feel a little lighter. We also shared the bread and cheese board, and surprisingly, the pear with the date spread was probably one of my favorite bites. The pear was crisp and fresh, and that sweet, rich date spread was seriously addictive. I kept going back for more. The bread, nuts, cheese, and other little bites on the board made it really fun to share. The drinks were refreshing too, and the presentation was beautiful without trying too hard. Definitely one of those places where I'd come back with friends for a slow weekend brunch. The food was good, but the charming patio and overall vibe were probably my favorite part.

Then I noticed two things I could not ignore: a frozen Mai Tai (I'm a Mai Tai fanatic, so of course that got my attention) and a frozen drink flight that includes both the piña colada and the frozen Mai Tai . Had to get the flight! Four frozen minis. Don't remember the other two, but they were really good. Since the piña colada was already in the flight, I had to order the key lime pie. Probably against the law if I didn't. Only miss: the frozen Mai Tai. Weird, I know -- I love Mai Tais. I'm a purist though, and that version was not a hit. The key lime pie was super dope, as expected. Bartenders were helpful and fast. Coming back for the piña colada and the live music!

QUICK TAKE Get: Blackened Mahi Mahi Tacos, Grilled Chicken & Mango Salad, flatbread, burger, Key Lime Pie Skip: Coconut Shrimp Know: Ask for salad dressing on the side. They are very generous with it. This turned out to be a great casual lunch in Palm Springs. The setting is relaxed, the menu is easy to share, and there were several things I would happily order again. Blackened Mahi Mahi Tacos: Probably my favorite. The mahi comes with tomato relish, chipotle aioli, island slaw, lime sour cream, fire-roasted salsa and chips. Lots of flavor without losing the fish underneath. Grilled Chicken & Mango Salad: Really good combination of grilled chicken, baby greens, feta, toasted almonds and macadamia nuts, pepitas, dried blueberries and tomatoes with a lemon basil vinaigrette. My only advice is to get the dressing on the side. They use a lot of it. Flatbread: Another solid choice for the table. Easy to share and one of those dishes that disappeared pretty quickly. All-American Burger: Simple and very good. American cheese, pickles, Tommy Spread, lettuce, tomato and onion. Nothing fancy, just well done. Key Lime Pie: Definitely save room. Tart, creamy and one of the better endings to the meal. Coconut Shrimp: The only thing I would skip. The shrimp itself was fine, but between the coconut coating and papaya-mango chutney, it was much too sweet for me. Overall, we were impressed. This is not quite the same dining experience or menu you get at a regular Tommy Bahama Restaurant, but for a casual meal in downtown Palm Springs, it worked really well. The mahi tacos and chicken mango salad are the two things I'd order first.

FACILITY: Small, limited seating indoors with very nice, fun, outdoor seating areas. Love this place. MENU: Simple, easy to understand, great photos online if you have any questions. FOOD PREP: Very well done, like professional in just how it looks. FOOD QUALITY: Professional in how it also tastes... Watermelon Gazpacho was perfect with drinks prior to main. LIBATIONS: drinks and bartender were excellent, fun, and the photo print was very cool. WAITSTAFF: just so nice, and fun making the experience all that much better. We have been enjoying The Plaza Theater so spending a little more time in Palm Springs and this will be one of our favorites places to relax prior to an event. OVERALL VALUE: Good, but it is Palm Springs, outdoors, great locations, classy.. no, not inexpensive but well worth it. TIP: I'd say be nice, be patient, and you will get a table. Don't be an angry rude touron, we don't need that vibe and we see some of that in PS.. You can try for reservations, not sure if they take off season.

After a quick Yelp search, we found this spot. Once we arrived, finding street parking was tricky but not impossible! We had a reservation and were seated almost immediately. Definitely get a reservation if you are planning to go here. They have indoor and outdoor patio seating. We decided to sit inside. Being a vegetarian, I'm always on the lookout for interesting innovative food items. They had a vegan tamale and a veggie enchilada, stuffed with interesting list of vegetables. I decided to give those a shot. The tamales came out relatively quickly. The presentation was 10/10. The flavor profile was amazing. It was interesting to see the choice of vegetables. Overall, I loved the dish. The enchiladas came out quickly too. Again, the presentation was 10/10. It also came with a side of rice. The rice was surprisingly flavorful and tasty. The enchiladas were stuffed with delicious vegetables. I did request the cheese on side. Overall, we loved both the dishes. To celebrate our anniversary, they brought out a coconut cream ice cream. It was delicious and topped with fresh berries ! I highly recommend checking out this restaurant , you won't be disappointed!

We honestly felt like we paid full size prices for kid size meals and left still hungry. We had another appointment immediately afterward, so we didn't have time to order anything else, which made it even more disappointing. We've been to the Azusa location, and the difference in portion sizes is surprising! The servings there are easily 2-3 times the amount. For what we paid in Palm Springs, we definitely expected more. The food itself was enjoyable, but the value and portion sizes really missed the mark for us.
