This place has a good atmosphere and has seating on the Main Street of downtown Palm Springs. I was excited to try their blueberry chicken and waffles, however the blueberry waffles were quite literally the prepackaged waffle that you can buy from a Trader Joe's and such and for the blueberry aspect, there were 3 blueberries on the side of the waffle to give you a "blueberry waffle." One beautiful sunny afternoon in Palm Springs, my friend and I wanted to give this place a try since we heard so many good things about it. We both ordered their Fried Chicken sandwich with French Fries with both ketchup and Ranch dressing on the side. I ordered their house salad which came with lettuce, tomato, shaved Mozzarella cheese, cucumber, asked for light onions and got light onions. Also came with croutons. Portions were very reasonably priced. $20 for each plate. Food was very delicious, hot and full of flavor. We didn't get anything to drink. It has a great patio, bar, and indoor seating. We got great service from few of their employees who were nice, kind, helpful and knowledgeable. They even told us the plates were hot before setting them down on the table. Not all servers warn you! They sure earned their tip. The menu is pretty vast and at first, we wanted to order everything from the menu. That's how it is when you are so HUNGRY! One can only eat so much.. Great restaurant, few parking spaces, we parked outside. Got lucky to find parking in front of the restaurant. Has 2 restrooms, didn't use them. Place was a very cozy, cute restaurant. basic place for a basic bite! because i had a late lunch, but was hanging with a group of friends who wanted an early dinner, i only had a small dish which was a small leg and a bit of thigh meat on a piece of lavash for $10. tbh, for what it was, it seemed reallllly overpriced. but it was tasty enough i guess. not oh wow best chicken ever, but certainly ok! sat outside on the patio. if u face the street it is a really dreary view. what looks like some new cold condo on the corner. but very little foot traffic or anything to catch your eye. that's not the restaurant's fault but i thought after sitting outside, hmm maybe we should have sat inside! service was fun, lovely, friendly. had a hip cool waiter / artist who was easy to chill and chat with. tasty enough. convenient. seems like a reliable place and easy place to get a good bite. read more

There's a wraparound outdoor patio, with cooling misters and red umbrella covered tables. No indoor seating. Parking is either on street or in a large lot at the back of the block. FOOD & DRINK: Started with a round of cocktails, some Spicy Strawberry Margaritas ($16), and two Bloody Mary's ($16). The margaritas were refreshing, not overly sweet, with just a hint of heat from the jalapeño. The Bloody Mary's had two large olives, but no bacon or celery. We ordered the side of Green Beans ($10), tossed with garlic, ginger, and gluten free soy sauce, which is a perfect appetizer to share. For our lunch entrees, we had a Cobb Salad ($14), a Chinese Salad ($14) with Crispy Chicken Strips (+$11), and two of their Summer Specials; Chicken Piccata ($25 for 3-courses) and Chicken Parmesan ($25 for 3-courses). We finished it all off with some Espresso Gelatos which were quite refreshing. Everything was very tasty. My only knock is that they still need to do a better job with maintaining the supplies and cleanliness of the bathroom, which is shared amongst the complex where the Chicken Ranch is located. Definitely one of our favorite food stops in Palm Springs! We came here last Saturday and were seriously impressed. Knowing that they raise their own free-range chickens locally makes the experience even better, and you can really taste the quality of the food. We had the chicken salad sandwich with fries and their homemade ranch, and everything was SO good! The ambiance was also such a nice surprise--very clean, welcoming, and a little more upscale than we expected. Even the little details, like the glass water service, made the experience feel special. What a delicious and healthy lunch at Chicken Ranch. Really nice al fresco dining with fans and misters to cool off from these scorching summer days in the desert. They don't do reservations but our party of 4 got seated fairly quickly. Rotiserrie chicken in different ways and tons of healthy and delicious sides. For our visit, we did the BBQ chicken flatbread for starters. For mains, we did the banh mi sandwich and a side salad, half chicken with lavash bread and tomatillo sauce, macaroni and cheese, fries, green beans, and broccolini. The chicken was good and the sides were all flavorful even the broccolini and the green beans. Dishes around around $20 and sides ~ $10. Food tasted fresh and delicious. Great service. When we first drove by this restaurant I knew I wanted to try it. We stopped in for lunch before our long drive back to Reno and let me just say, we were not hungry on the drive back. They have a great patio seating area that is very clean and really fits the downtown Palm Springs vibes. Our waiter was great too, just super on top of everything. All of the food we had was delicious and massive. My sons mozzarella sticks had the greatest cheese pull I have ever seen and they were golden. My buffalo ranch chicken sandwich was excellent as well. Lots of thin chicken fried and piled on top of each other. We passed by this restaurant on our drive through Palm Springs and decided that it would be a good lunch spot before heading home. Their patio was so comfortable and had such a nice view of the main street! Our waiter was so attentive, he really took amazing care of our table! We never ran out of water and had everything very quickly. Now the food, WOAH, the portions are HUGE! This is somewhere that you can easily split! My kiddo just wanted Mozzarella Sticks and they had literally the perfect cheese pull. My mom ordered the Chicken Pot Pie and it was hot, fresh and delicious. I had the BBQ Chicken Pizza which I loved and shared with everyone and my husband had the Buffalo Ranch Chicken Sandwich, he loved it and it was a protein lovers dream! To the Owner, I feel compelled to share my experience during a recent visit to your restaurant, not out of malice, but out of disappointment, especially because I've had several good experiences here before. Our server, Ty, briefly introduced himself when we first sat down, stating "I will be your server!" He asked my friend if I wanted something to drink while I was away at the restroom. Naturally, my friend wasn't sure, so he asked for water. From that point forward, Ty never returned to our table. We sat there for 10 to 15 minutes without service. This is not an exaggeration. During that time, I noticed Ty had taken orders from at least two or three other tables, yet never acknowledged us again. Eventually, a different server came over and took our order. She never introduced herself, nor did Ty ever explain that someone else would be taking over. For the most part, she seemed to be the one handling clean-up and bussing tables, not someone you'd expect to be handling table service. I ordered the Chicken Wok, which has usually been my go-to favorite dish here. Sadly, this time it was very underwhelming. There was barely any chicken in the dish, and the broccoli was so tough I had to physically pull pieces out of my mouth because they were too hard to chew. Even worse, I found a hair on one of the red bell peppers. My friend ordered a salad with dressing on the side and a side of chicken. The chicken looked like it had been boiled and dropped on the plate. It didn't appear fresh or appetizing at all. The service remained inconsistent throughout the meal. Our waitress only checked on us once, and when it came time to get the check, it took another 10 to 15 minutes even after our plates were cleared and we were clearly finished eating. I would've rated this visit even lower had it not been for the good experiences I've had in the past. But this time was a real letdown. I'm hoping the owner sees this and considers whether additional training and oversight are needed. The ambiance was cute with the patio lights and linen tablecloths. I ordered chicken tenders and fries. My husband ordered the Chicken Wok and said it was bland. A good sign of a popular place. The food we saw looked absolutely amazing. The menu had an utter simplicity to it. I ordered the beet goat cheese salad with dark meat. My wife ordered the barbecue chicken wrap and a side of potato fries. The real surprise came when we dipped the french fries in the barbecue sauce. It was like a taste explosion in your mouth. We aren't sure what they use for barbecue sauce, but it is amazing. The person who prepared my salad was a true artist. Look at the picture of the salad I posted is it not divine? The food was so delicious that my wife and I returned with her in-laws for dinner a few hours later. The food was equally delicious at night, although the salad was not as beautiful as the one I received at lunchtime. And the staff are wonderful. They perform like a crew team. Iit didn't seem to matter who's table or who's server you belong to. Anyone helped everyone and we believe the manager even walked around in plain clothes and greeted everyone. I can't imagine a customer doing that plus he had a credit card reader with him , And another neat thing was the fact that the servers each have their own credit card reader. Anyone could take your card at the table as opposed to walking off of your credit card ringing it up somewhere and coming back . You're probably used to this anywhere you go, but just having the reader at the table, sped up the payment process not to mention it was one less worry about whether your credit card might get stolen or copied or any of the other fraud that happens in places to take your credit card and return with it I highly recommend this place and the next time we return to Palm Springs it will be at the top of our list. read more

Let me start this by saying the FOOD is great. If you're wondering about eating here by all means everything is AMAZING. This review is purely based on the service provided by an individual. Came here on a Thursday evening around 5:00 for a last dinner with my dad and bf. Wanted something on the lighter side that would still fill us without all the frills of some other Palm Springs Restaurant. The restaurant was maybe 40% filled with about 5-6 tables on the street filled but the back half completely open. When we arrived a server from inside quickly noticed us and said someone would seat us in just a moment. We weren't in a rush and in a good mood so we waited patiently till he came back and said we could choose between two tables. We chose the one in the corner furthest away from the heaters. Everything was clean and comfortable as we sat down with our menus. This is where the pleasantness stopped. First I noticed that when we tried to walk to our table the server was busy happily chatting up another table about where they were from and what not. But what strikes me as odd was that he chose to stand in the middle of the aisle blocking it completely and refused to let us by and make room. We were already half way into the dining space to the table to rather than stand awkwardly next to someone as they tried to eat their meal I slipped past squeezing next to the heater. Nothing crazy of course and expected in the narrow dining space. While we sat down and picked out our order we quickly chose some favorites. I have been here MANY times before and LOOOVE almost everything. Like I said, the FOOD is 10/10 come here and eat. When the server arrived he set down the glasses and filled them up with water before asking us if we were ready. We ordered two salads and and a sandwich and stayed with the water since we were looking to eat light. He took our menus and then was gone. I mean.. GONE... POOF We must have had the plague because this man "Keilan M" as noted on our receipt never came back until the end of the meal and that was to drop off our check with a scan to pay QR Code. Throughout our entire 45 minute meal at while we sat down I noticed how he went back multiple times to check on every single other table in the vicinity EXCEPT for ours. He happily greeted the women of 4 seated after us at the table we didn't choose. He went BACK to the couple he was originally chatting up. He check on every single other table except for us. No water refills or even a carafe left on the table. He was GONE and never even looked at us. I would have gotten better service from a unmanned Kiosk because at least I wouldn't need to tip them for this level of service. And before you come at me. We still left him a tip despite no interaction except for the mentioned ordering and drop off of the check. So to end this horrible experience I will say, I understand if someone is having an off day, and we are usually very relaxed with our expectation. HOWEVER this felt usually personal and surprising to have experienced this level of alienation from one of my favorite spots. read more

The service is so terrible there this place looks like they want to close every time we walk in there. We get there about 630 the guy with the headband is breaking down the patio then he goes inside. There's hardly anybody at the restaurant. I have to go inside. Tell him we're ready order he comes out and takes our order ! Had such a great first time experience coming here for a early dinner after the pride parade with my husband Ty or I believe Tyreke was our server and he was beyond happy to be there and he made us feel as if we had been there several times before he has such a welcoming spirit and really left us impressed. The Food was very delicious I had the BLT and my Other had The fried chicken sandwich and oh were both very delicious and fresh. I had a Martini that was actually very drinkable and flavorful. I am a local here in Palm Springs and will be coming back as this is the typer of service and quality of food that we are always happy send others to businesses with this type of service. With a lovely patio (and misters) this is a great Palm Springs lunch spot to people watch and relax with a drink and some food. Obviously the name suggests that they are good with chicken, so chicken is what I went for. I ordered the Oven Roasted Chicken BLT ($19) with fries and it was nice and large. I ended up taking half of it to go but I could have eaten the entire thing if I wasn't in a bit of a rush. I opted for the baguette which ended up being more like a roll which I wasn't upset about. It made it a bit easier to eat. I found the chicken a little dry, if I'm honest, but you get a lot of it and it works with the roasted cherry tomatoes and mustard. The service was attentive and patient since some of the group had difficultly deciding what to get.
