Really liked the chicken shawarma from here. Food is fresh, delicious and a pleasure to eat.

Wanted a quick light bite as it was getting late and had a little bit of hunger but didn't want fast food (went to Jack in the Box across the st first but nothing looked appetizing). This restaurant is split up into two sides which is confusing (order on one side, dine in the other or al fresco). We ordered a chicken kabob pita wrap each (16.99/ea). It was very flavorful but also pretty small for the price. Service was also very slow as it took approximately 20-25 min or so to get our order and they weren't busy (inside the restaurant, at least). Overall, I loved the food as it was so tasty and piping hot fresh. I just felt it was way too expensive for what you get (no side) and the separate ordering and dining room was rather odd. read more

I was looking for satisfying late night food in Palm Springs and boy did Wrap Houz deliver. Each component of my beef shawarma wrap was vibrantly fresh and flavorful. Even the saffron rice it is served atop is bursting with enough flavor to stand alone. The hummus, garlic sauce and tzatziki really pulled the meal together, and the side of fresh vegetables added perfect crunch. This meal was dynamic and more than enough food to share! Based on the great online photos and suspect high reviews, I expected a good meal, but this $70 order was a terrible disappointment. Getting a 4.6 rating is very tough. I have eaten at 4.0 restaurants and they were very good, high end with excellent food. This place is not 4.6. No way. The only positive was Grubhub's incredibly fast delivery, which makes sense because the food tasted like it was cooked days ago, frozen, and quickly reheated. Instead of fresh, grilled meat, the kabob consisted of hard, stale little pellets, and the shawarma tasted like it came straight out of a refrigerator. The hummus in both platters was equally un-fresh. The quality was so poor that I fully expected us to get sick the next day. We came here for a late-night bite on a Friday. Most places nearby had already closed their kitchens by 10 pm, so it was down to this or Mexican food. We arrived around 11 pm and were so glad we found this spot. After reading the reviews, we came in planning to order the chicken shawarma and was recommended getting the Cajun Garlic Shawarma Wrap ($14.99) and a two piece baklava ($8). Deeeelicious! I was in the Palm Springs area for a staff retreat, and me and my colleagues wanted a quick sandwich or bowl before we went on a hike, so I did a quick search and found Wrap Houz. What a lucky find! The Street shawarma chicken bowl was amazing, you can get it with rice or fries, I got the rice, yum! The service was fantastic, including giving us some extra fries. Interestingly, it's actually 2 different buildings next door to each other, order in one, then dine next door, all of which is perfectly fine. The photos featured on yelp are fairly deceptive because it looks like a cute café you would expect to find in Palm Springs however, this is more like a old school hot dog shop vibe if all they sold was baklava and Mediterranean food... kinda like a dive restaurant meets food stand meets deli, however definitely worth it for the food and wonderful selection. I am pescatarian and while I did not notice any fish on the menu. I was quite content with all of the veggie options. Their wraps are like a giant thin pita utilized to create a burrito ! Very friendly and attentive staff, but the food was quite literally flavorless. Ordered the chicken shawarma plate and was disappointed by the lack of flavor in both the chicken and salad (which tasted like plain lettuce and lemon). I always like to give places like this multiple tries before I finalize my opinion on them. The menu is extensive and has tons of options, including vegan friendly bites . This visit was late at night and I settled on a chicken Shawarma bowl as well as a beef Shawarma wrap. Both items were stuffed full of freshly made food. I didn't get to try the bowl, but I was told it was amazing and the fries were super fresh. If I had to complain about something, it would be the wait, but in all honesty, I would rather wait for something good than be served something old and stale instantly. You can get something good to eat if you have the time to wait and don't mind paying a little extra compared to other takeout joints. They also had a counter filled with treats, similar to baklava. Staying nearby for a few days and this was one of our chosen dining spots. TOTALLY enjoyed it. Before I roll on the review itself, I want to point out that they have two doors but they are for separate units - go in the door on the right side (with more stickers on the door) to place your order. The left door is for their dine-in area (and, yes, they'll bring it next door to you). I ordered a Greek Salad, sans onions, with Gyro meat and the hubs ordered a Gyro Sandwich and fries. My salad was fresh and tasty (it had a bit too much lemon juice on it, which settled at the bottom so it was easy to avoid). The gyro meat was VERY good. I took half the salad & meat home with me - so the serving was a good one (although, it's likely you'll be able to finish the salad - I partook in french fries, which helped to fill me up). The hubs thoroughly enjoyed his sandwich. It was the same meat that I got for my salad, so I *KNOW* he enjoyed it! Also, the fries were pretty darned tasty, not quite as crisp as I like - but they were still good and I ate plenty of them. Wanted something quick and saw this had good reviews. I'll keep it simple, the two different wraps, one of them was the Cajun one and the other was the lime chicken one. Yeah I can't remember off the top of my head but they were on the first page of the menu they had displayed at the counter. Both were really good! Very flavorful. Not much inside other than the chicken and some peppers. But really enjoyed the flavor of both. Only downer was the price for the size you get. They weren't super small but maybe for the size. Them being more like $10ish would suite them but they both come in around $15. Either way aside from the price they were really good and yes I would come back to try other things on their menu. They did have a side room where you can sit inside, well I'm assuming it was part of their establishment because of the decor on the walls. Just an open room that looks like they use for gatherings. The chicken shawrma was pretty good. I would have liked it more with some added white sauce and lettuce. The wrap only had chicken and pickles and I usually like shawarmas that have lettuce, tomatoes and fries in them to give that extra flavor and crunch. The zater fries were disappointing though..kinda sweet which i did not expect and the potatoes were too soft and mushy. Id probably try their bowl or sometjing next time. Man, this place may have some of the nost basic middle eastern food I have eaten. If I think of the worst Zankou Chicken I have ever been to, I would be still be in good hands. Mix plate offered the worst shish I have ever had. They seem to want to incorporate date without being able to balance the flavor. Found this gem when we were looking for a dinner option at 10 pm on a Sunday. Yelp led us to this place and we loved it. Ibrahim was really sweet and made sure he arranged tables and chairs inside the restaurant so that 7 of us could be comfortably seated. We ordered chicken shawarma (excellent) , mixed plate, chicken wrap and some humus on the side. Everything was excellent - Chicken Shawarma was the best ! Ibrahim mentioned they are expanding and next time we should expect to be seated in a more comfortable area. I've marked these guys as my goto spot next time I am at Palm springs. The restaurant is very weirdly structured. The dining room is next to where they cook the food and take orders. You have to go to the order-placing counter/store, and you pay the overly priced food there, and you go to the next door room to wait there. If you need to use the restroom, there is one that's attached to both rooms where you pass by their pantry to get to it, and it wasn't that well-kept. The shawarma was good, but expensive, and for that reason, if I'm ever in that area, I wouldn't go there again. read more

Apparently, they have staff now and was able to visit last Saturday When I drove by a saw the front door open. I was approached by a really friendly staff member. I ordered the Lebenese style Chicken Schwarma I'd heard about. Here it goes: Explosive Flavor and Excellent Service! Excellent Lebanese food tucked away at the end of the road in downtown. Ambiance could use some work, but what matters is the food. Maybe some of the best hummus I've ever had, the chicken kabob was also great (slightly chewy but still super tasty) thanks to its outstanding seasoning. What would you say if the owner yelled at you and told you to get out of his restaurant because he would not refund a 3% non disclosed Visa charge? I would saw never dine at this restaurant again. Water at $3.00 dollars a bottle that is road robbery and cheating. How about not.cleaning the tables after guests leave the restaurant, I would call that unsanitary and a need for the health department to investigate. Don't eat this dry poorly created, freshly microwaved food. This was the second time eating here, the first being a much better experience when the restaurant dining area was being revamped. The food was memorably expensive but very tasty. This time we ordered what we thought were three different plates, however, we only received one plate, the other two came as wraps. We went back into the main area where you order and they kindly converted the two wraps into plates at no added cost, great we thought! At this stage my only complaint was that my beef was highly overcooked and dry, but I generally don't make a big thing out of a one off incident, I just don't come back and leave it at that. Then after overhearing a complaint from another customer (this was on Sunday 7/27) stating that there was a 3% surplus charge, we quickly realized why the food was seemingly so expensive. They had charged us for wraps but were seemingly adding additional fees. I can confirm this from the other customer (who has since left a review) that they are charging fees, and charging high amounts for bottled water and canned soda (never offered us a cup of water). All this to say, they should have also simply clarified if we wanted plates or wraps to begin with and not made it our problem. Given the cost, we thought we were getting plates. Wish we had asked for receipts to share. I spoke to the other customer before leaving and he said that he would complain about the additional charges, and apparently based on his review, he went in to complain and got yelled at by the owner. Attended Desert Air music festival at the Palm Springs Air Museum last Friday and was looking for something to eat after and we thought the default late night spot is In-N-Out. Imagine our surprise when we looked for the nearest In-N-Out on Yelp and it said it would take us 20 minutes to get there! Looked for other late night spots open in the Palm Springs area and Wrap Houz appeared and was a mile from our hotel. We pulled up around midnight and it looked empty inside with one guy either reading a book or on his phone behind the counter. It looked like we caught him off guard, but he took all of our orders and proceeded to notify another worker in the back and they made our items fresh. We each ordered a wrap which came with fries and an order of baklava, which the guy told us was made fresh, The entire front counter was covered in fresh baklava, pre-wrapped and ready to-go. My go-to Mediterranean wrap spot is Kebab Shop and their kofta wrap is what I'd normally get. I got the kofta wrap here and it definitely tastes way more authentic and freshly made. While we were waiting, the owner made some complimentary falafel for us. My favorite falafel place back home is Kareem's Falafel in Anaheim and I thought Wrap Houz's was better. It just tasted fresh and was the perfect consistency with it being crispy on the outside but not too oily or mushy on the inside. I'd definitely order falafel from here in the future. The fries look standard, but they were really tasty. Almost had a buttery salt taste. The guy who made our food asked if we were eating it there but we informed him we would be taking it to-go back to the hotel. He boxed everything up for us and happily brought it out to us. After we ate our wraps we had one piece of baklava each and it was the perfect ending to night 1 of Desert Air. The baklava was not dry at all and one small piece was enough! We walked in and thought maybe it was a slow night and they were just passing the time, but we left feeling like they really took care of us and made sure we left with everything cooked fresh and with love. I'm so glad we didn't go to the run of the mill fast food joint, it was so worth visiting this place for post concert dinner! read more
