My third time at Kaiser for lunch. I sat at the bar. I must say, they have the best salads! Fresh, nicely balanced, perfect amount of dressing. In the past I tried the white shrimp salad which was awesome. This time I had the Shrimp Louie salad. It was phenomenal. Large shrimps with fresh lettuce and crunchy asparagus. Nice boiled egg and juicy tomato. The dressing was light and not overwhelming. I also started with the Split Pea Soup which had a delicious and smoky andouille sausage in it. It was creamy and satisfying. The bar service was great and the place was sparkling clean. I highly recommend the lunch service.

We came here with friends. The ambiance is upscale and chic, yet relaxed and casual too. We decided to dine outdoors as it was a very pleasant evening. Seated comfortably the waiter came over right away to get our drink order. There were hardly any patrons so no one really was pressed for time, so of course it would be immediate service. After putting in the drink order we were asked about appetizers and decided to share some calamari. One in our party ordered a Pisco sour which was met with a blank stare. The waiter had never heard of Pisco, the Peruvian liquor, which any upscale bar should have on hand. Apparently if the cocktail isn't on the menu it doesn't exist.(?) Drinks came in little time. I had ordered their James Bond martini with Hendricks gin, my favorite flavored gin. I'd rate the cocktail as just OK, nothing special. The menu is extensive with a variety of choices. The waiter did inform us of a few that were not available. It really didn't impact the array of choices remaining. I decided upon the Paella Valencia. While waiting for the entrees we sipped cocktails and ate the calamari. I suddenly noticed we only had two side plates and two forks for four people so we just shared unable to flag someone down, plus no napkins, just the cocktail napkin under the drink. Not a huge infraction but when entrees are priced between $40 to $90. one does expect better. I have made many paella dishes in my day and when mine arrived it looked fine until digging into it. It was way overcooked and it seemed like it was put under a broiler and kept there too long. There was a large piece of chicken on top and it was super dry, plus the shellfish was shriveled from excessive heat, as well as the sausage slices. Although somewhat dry the aborio rice was flavorful and good, with adequate saffron. It was the best part. Paellas are made in different ways so it's unfair to complain if traditional ingredients, like peas, were not detectable. Plus, I thought this one included lobster, which wasn't evident either. The portion was more than adequate and the first time I didn't devour a dish like it. The rice did fill me up. I'd say for the price point it could have been better. Since friends suggested and chose the place I didn't want to make a fuss but I should have said something. The waiter was very friendly and courteous. Overall, just OK to somewhat disappointing.

We had a medium size group of friends visiting Palm Springs and stopped by Kaiser Grille for lunch! I would call lunch here just fine. The food was OK a the look of it was very appealing however the service was rather slow. For the prices it is a decent lunch, but I wouldn't go running back.

This is our favorite steakhouse in Palm Springs. They are always delicious and a good value for your money. We went stagecoach and decided to stop by on our way back. We were lucky to find street parking but they also offer parking in the back. They are located on one of the main streets with many bars and restaurants. They have outdoor sitting and indoor the outdoor being more casual for lunch brunch or dinner. The inside is more elegant and nicer for a date night. There is a bar area in the middle when you walk in and there is more seating area in the back where you can see the kitchen that has a glass. We came here for a late lunch without a reservation and were seated right away. They asked us if we wanted inside or outside and since the weather was nice, we decided to sit outside. Our waiter was very friendly and welcoming. We took a while to decide what we wanted to eat since it had been a long time since last time we were here. We didn't want to have much to take back home so we decided to share a steak. Do not miss on the basket of bread it is on the first page of the menu before the actual menu. I didn't see it but my boyfriend did and decided to order one. The basket came with freshly baked bread of two different kinds one was with cranberries and the other one plain white. The bread also came with some butter and black salt on it. We ordered a wedge salad as an appetiser the porterhouse steak medium rare and for aside we got the mushroom risotto. The waiter was really nice to split the salad so it was served in two separate plates with the bacon on the side as I am allergic to pork. The salad was very refreshing and their dressing was very unique with a little bit of sweetness or thousand islands kind of flavour but not exactly. The steak was also served in two different plates. This is the first time I see Porter house cut this way, but it was still good. The Porter house was perfectly cooked and it was a really good quality of meat. The meat was extremely tender and juicy. The steak included mashed potatoes and arugula with tomato. The mashed potatoes were good and arugula tomato had this citrusy flavour to it. The tomatoes were delicious. The risotto was very tasty as well. The texture of the risotto was more of al dente which we both prefer. Overall, this is a great place to come with groups or as a date night. Their food is delicious and you cannot go wrong. They also offer corkage fee which is $25 per bottle. If you are in Palm Springs, this place is highly recommended.

Overall, an enjoyable dinner experience. This is a place where everything combines to be a pleasant and very good meal. The service was excellent from the start when our hostess noted our reservation request for an inside table, and just wanted to confirm that preferred outdoors that was certainly thoughtful and set a positive tone. Our server was pleasant and attentive throughout dinner as were the support staff. NY strip was prepared perfectly. Bread in the fresh bread basket was good, but not worth the $9 extra charge. The wedge salad was very good with cold and crisp lettuce...my only comment single bacon strip that accompanied the salad looked nice that was not really a practical way for getting bacon into the salad. The parmesan and truffle fries did not stand up to the excellent steak, as they were too thick and seemed to have crisp coating added. Fresh cut fries, even if there's less, but I guess at this point, I'm getting into the weeds here. On one hand, the large menu is very providing and offered lots of choices, but I think sometimes maybe a restaurant tries to be everything to everybody and sometimes can the side of paying attention to those little details that elevate a very good meal to a truly excellent meal. At the end of the day, I would definitely return as the total experience was really very good and I do look forward to trying some of the offerings that I didn't have a chance to try on this visit so nice job Kaiser Grille, and I look forward to seeing you again.

Came here for what was supposed to be a very special dinner and it was an absolute let down. Had a table booked for 8PM. The host stand was in utter disarray. We checked in and waited for 20 minutes after our reservation time. I finally went back up and turns out they gave our table to someone else by mistake. They tried to cover it up but I overheard them arguing about it. Instead of getting us a table inside like I booked, they put us on the patio. While we were waiting for that we decided to get a couple glasses of wine at the bar. The bartender with the long beard and glasses was incredibly rude. He threw the glasses onto the bar, gave me the check and dismissed my party without a word. We noticed the same behavior towards other patrons at the bar. Terrible start to the evening. We finally got our table. No water, bread, or waiter for 30 minutes.... When our waiter finally showed, we kindly asked him to turn on the heater next to us. Never happened. Wine and bread both took another 20 minutes to come out. We had placed our entrees at the same time. Those took almost an HOUR to come out. It was ridiculous. Nobody came to follow up or refill our drinks. The chicken picatta was good but had the tiniest portion of whipped potatoes and only 3 scraggly pieces of arugula. The lobster ravioli's sauce was flat and watery. The lobster smelled way too fishy. Turns out it was bad and my guest got food poisoning later that night and threw it all up. Our waiter finally came around and never asked how the food was. Just asked if we wanted the check. Sanitation seemed suspect. My rule is -- if the bathroom is dirty, the kitchen is dirty. The mens bathroom was in total disarray and looked like it hadn't been serviced since opening. Urinal overflowing, toilet paper everywhere, soap dispensers empty. To quote their website "We live by the philosophy of 'quality first.' You deserve the best, and we promise a dining experience where every mouthwatering bite reflects our commitment to excellence." Where is that?! This restaurant absolutely did not live up to it's hype and I wish I had read the recent reviews instead of giving it a chance. One of the worst meals of my life.

    Calamari Strips - AWESOME!!!
    Bill O.

My wife and I were downtown Palm Springs on a beautiful Thursday evening - turns out, it also happened to be the last Street Fair for the year - the place was PACKED. As we started looking for a place for dinner, we rapidly realized that like the streets, all the restaurants were completely full, with long waiting lists. We kept heading to the end of the craziness, and stumbled across Kaiser Grill - a kinda sorta steakhouse. We went in, sat down, ordered some wine (ones that you typically don't find at restaurants....like a Cakebread Sauvignon Blanc? SWEET!!), and checked out the menu. After seeing some of the MASSIVE meals get carried by, we decided to stick with appetizers - a solid move. My wife went with a mushroom soup (I honestly didn't know there was such a thing) and I went with Calamari strips. Within five minutes, our meal (so to speak) arrived. My wife declared that the soup was hands down the best she's ever had, and my Calamari was exactly what I hoped for. While I can't comment on the entres, I can only assume that they equal the starters. Definitely a thumbs up!

Nice ambiance and lots of seating. The menu sounds great, but unfortunately the meals weren't up to par. I had a pomegranate lemon drop and it wasn't very flavorful. I ordered a steak and it was cooked as it should be, but a little bland. The ahi steak was great, but the wasabi mashed potatoes were a little strange. I didn't have anything that wowed me. The service was mediocre.

I've been getting a little fed up with relying on Google recommendations lately. You'll see places with 5,000+ reviews and almost five stars, then you actually go there and the food is a huge disappointment. FARM was one of those places where the food actually lived up to the reviews and the hype. I ordered the Spanish Migas with a side of potatoes and a small French press. The Migas were perfectly cooked, and the spice level was just right. You could taste each ingredient separately, and the salsa was really good too. The potatoes were probably one of my favorite parts--crispy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The coffee was great as well. My server, Carol R., was very attentive and kept checking on me throughout the meal. She even double-checked the name and receipt, which I appreciated because she was clearly paying attention to the details and making sure everything was correct. The atmosphere is really nice too. It actually feels like you're sitting on a farm, which makes the whole brunch experience feel special. And considering the portion size, quality of the food, and how popular this place is, I thought the price was very reasonable. This place actually met my expectations, which has been rare lately. If you're in Palm Springs and looking for a good brunch spot, I'd definitely recommend FARM. I just wish I had found this place sooner!

I ordered the smoked salmon eggs Benedict and it was really good. The eggs were perfectly poached, the salmon was generous, and the hollandaise was creamy without feeling too heavy. I also liked that it came with fresh berries on the side, which made the whole plate feel a little lighter. We also shared the bread and cheese board, and surprisingly, the pear with the date spread was probably one of my favorite bites. The pear was crisp and fresh, and that sweet, rich date spread was seriously addictive. I kept going back for more. The bread, nuts, cheese, and other little bites on the board made it really fun to share. The drinks were refreshing too, and the presentation was beautiful without trying too hard. Definitely one of those places where I'd come back with friends for a slow weekend brunch. The food was good, but the charming patio and overall vibe were probably my favorite part.

QUICK TAKE Get: Blackened Mahi Mahi Tacos, Grilled Chicken & Mango Salad, flatbread, burger, Key Lime Pie Skip: Coconut Shrimp Know: Ask for salad dressing on the side. They are very generous with it. This turned out to be a great casual lunch in Palm Springs. The setting is relaxed, the menu is easy to share, and there were several things I would happily order again. Blackened Mahi Mahi Tacos: Probably my favorite. The mahi comes with tomato relish, chipotle aioli, island slaw, lime sour cream, fire-roasted salsa and chips. Lots of flavor without losing the fish underneath. Grilled Chicken & Mango Salad: Really good combination of grilled chicken, baby greens, feta, toasted almonds and macadamia nuts, pepitas, dried blueberries and tomatoes with a lemon basil vinaigrette. My only advice is to get the dressing on the side. They use a lot of it. Flatbread: Another solid choice for the table. Easy to share and one of those dishes that disappeared pretty quickly. All-American Burger: Simple and very good. American cheese, pickles, Tommy Spread, lettuce, tomato and onion. Nothing fancy, just well done. Key Lime Pie: Definitely save room. Tart, creamy and one of the better endings to the meal. Coconut Shrimp: The only thing I would skip. The shrimp itself was fine, but between the coconut coating and papaya-mango chutney, it was much too sweet for me. Overall, we were impressed. This is not quite the same dining experience or menu you get at a regular Tommy Bahama Restaurant, but for a casual meal in downtown Palm Springs, it worked really well. The mahi tacos and chicken mango salad are the two things I'd order first.

Food was really good - the Brie with fig jam and pears was delicious and the ahi tacos were fresh and flavorful. Italian sandwich was solid too. Giving 4 stars because service wasn't top notch. Overall great spot downtown at 117 La Plaza, would come back for the food and cocktails.

After waiting around 20 minutes, I decided to just grab a seat at the bar, and I'm actually glad I did. There was no wait, and even though the restaurant was packed, my food came out really fast. Jon was my primary server. He was polite but was not attentive, I didn't feel like we connected much during the meal. The front staff was very friendly, though, and helped me with some recommendations. I ordered the guacamole with chips and salsa, fried whole jalapeño, chile relleno, and rice and beans. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and well seasoned. The guacamole was really good, the rice and beans had a lot of flavor, and the fried jalapeño with the habanero sauce had just the right amount of heat. If you like spicy food, I'd definitely recommend trying it. The chile relleno was recommended by Alvaro, and he told me it reminds him of his grandma whenever he eats it. I really liked hearing that because it made the recommendation feel personal, and he was absolutely right, it was delicious. Huge shoutout to Alvaro. He wasn't even my primary server, but he kept an eye on me, checked in, helped with recommendations, and made sure everyone around the bar was taken care of. He was just genuinely friendly and easy to talk to, and that stood out to me. For dessert, I tried the Pan de Elote for the first time, again on Alvaro's recommendation. I had never tried it before, but trust me, hands down, it was really good. I'm glad he convinced me to give it a try because it was the perfect way to finish the meal. The kitchen deserves a shoutout too. Everything came out cooked well and looked great. The restaurant is clean, nicely decorated, and has both indoor and outdoor seating, and I thought the prices were pretty reasonable. I've been to a few highly rated places around Palm Springs that looked great on paper but didn't quite live up to the reviews, so it was nice to finally have a meal that actually delivered. Good food, good atmosphere, and genuinely nice people. Alvaro definitely made the experience more memorable!!!!

We honestly felt like we paid full size prices for kid size meals and left still hungry. We had another appointment immediately afterward, so we didn't have time to order anything else, which made it even more disappointing. We've been to the Azusa location, and the difference in portion sizes is surprising! The servings there are easily 2-3 times the amount. For what we paid in Palm Springs, we definitely expected more. The food itself was enjoyable, but the value and portion sizes really missed the mark for us.

I ordered the shrimp tacos, and they did not disappoint--very flavorful with plenty of shrimp. I also had the pomegranate margarita, which was delicious. I asked for it a little spicy, and it was perfect. My server was a bit lukewarm, but the person keeping my water glass filled was on it! My glass never went empty, and I appreciated that. Great food, great vibe, and I'd definitely come back if I'm in the area again.

You hear so much about this place which normally means it would be good. I've been to their sister…read morerestaurant both The Farm and Clandestino. The farm is great as we've alway enjoyed their brunch menu. Dinner is pre fixed course. As for Clandestino, another Mexican restaurant that has a really good atmosphere and majority of the restaurant is outdoor. Food was good. Then you have Tac/ Quila, à Michelin guide which maybe the busiest out of them all for dinner. Located right in the heart of downtown along the main strip. All their restaurants are along the main strip and walking distance from each other. There's a parking lot in the back as well as street parking. Heads up, this place is alway packed everytime we've walked by. Reservations recommended. I needed to make reservations for a group of 5 but open tables only allows up to 4 for online booking. We would need to call restaurant for a bigger booking. It's pretty hard trying to get a hold of someone there. Instead we happened to be there for the Villagefest and just walked up to the restaurant to make the reservation. A whole process with that as they needed to get the manager approval for a group of 5. Anyway, it was done. Night of dinner, we were running a couple minutes behind and thankfully we got a hold of someone to give them the heads up. Check in was breeze and the staffs were all amazing and friendly. Hostess, waitress and all the staff were a doll. First time for all of us as we've heard so much good things about this place. It's alway busy everytime we seen this place. They have both inside and outside dining. A converted patio dining along the street was added as well. Our waitress was the sweetest. I didn't get her name through. As it was our first time, she sure did explained everything down to the tee. The menu was quite extensive with the book. A nice selection both for cocktails and wine. An order of the margaritas sampler was had which is pretty much similar to the Clandestino restaurant. They were pretty good but a some was on the sweeter side which was too much for me. Some starters were sheared, the guacamole and salsa and chips. Between the guacamole and salsa which were both good, salsa was the winner. And the ceviche. We went with the mixture of seafood. Shrimp, octopus and fish served in a tower with avocados and chips. That dish was excellent and very flavorful. Highly recommend. As for entrees, their menu does sound really good. A selections of items were ordered. First off the steak fajitas, served with riche and beans. It's not like the usual with the sizzling plate. Portion was quite small, thin pieces of steak with grilled onions and bell peppers. The rice was good and also had a side of guacamole, sour cream and salsa and a side of tortillas. Overall, it was just ok. Nothing major to rave about. Would I get it again, probably not. Then you have their street tacos which are small and served 2 to an order. The birria tacos were nice, very small but good. Also served with rice and beans and the dipping sauce. The short rib enchiladas, with ranchero sauce a blend of Mexican cheese and sour cream. Small portion of two but flavorful. Lastly the stuffed poblano chilies. Pepper stuffed with Oaxaca cheese, calabacitas, tomatoes, onions and sweet corn on top of rice or beans. You could also add a protein. It was good. Overall, the food was good. Ceviche was the winner out of everything we had. Short rib enchiladas come in second. Fajitas was a miss so that probably won't be ordered again. The service was excellent and the staffs were all amazing. The property is beautiful. This place is alway happening and busy so they'll be ok. There's a few other dishes that sounded amazing which may need to try. Until next time.

I called The Tropicale and the woman informed that they would be able to seat us but their kitchen closed promptly at 11. It was nice to hear that because all the other places I called had an 11 pm closing time but their kitchens closed much sooner than that. Upon arrival, we met the woman on the phone. She was really sweet and accommodated our request to sit at a table instead of at the bar. The staff were very nice to us despite our late arrival. The restaurant was beautiful! You would never have guessed how pretty it was in there from the exterior. Unique decor and perfect mood lighting! Our server, Nick, was very friendly. He made recommendations and we listened! The Korean beef skewers were tender and marinated well! I wanted to like the pickled cucumbers that accompanied it but it was a little on the salty side for me. Nick also recommended the chicken parmesan. It was sooooo good! We were pretty hungry but we shared and the portion was plenty! They also brought us complimentary bread per our request. The ONLY bummer was that their kitchen did closed promptly at 11 and the chefs were outta there. I forgot to order my Baked Alaska dessert (main reason why I came) ahead of time!! That's ok. I guess that's just my excuse to come again.
