Very disappointed with this place. I like the food there but I just don't understand how they always short me with food! They did this to me twice! I ordered crawfish 3lbs and coconut snails. Came home and wifey said this is not 3 lbs so she weighted it and it came 2.5 lbs. And the coconut snails $16 and I swear it was like 16 of them lol!!! I loveeee Ca Kho Tho paired with Rau Muong it's just one of the best combos ever. When my mom said she tried this new place she wanted to take me I was more than down. The fish and pork belly was cooked to perfection and the Rau muong portion is quite large and full of garlic which I love. They also gave a spicy fish sauce to dip stuff in which was yummy. We ordered two bowls for our party of three, as my 97-year-old grandfather cannot finish a full portion. At other restaurants this has never been an issue. When we asked for an extra bowl to share, we were given a tiny disposable paper bowl--smaller than the soup spoon itself. When we requested a proper bowl, we were told it was against "policy" since the kitchen is separate from the restaurant. Saw this on yelp and just happened to be in the Little Saigon area. Parking was no issue since it's located in a large strip center. Yelp reviews suggested the crawfish and yelpers were correct. We loved our meal here at Sao Bien! Note, it is cash only but there is an ATM in the restaurant. The dining space is about medium-sized I would say, but as a party of 2 we didn't need a reservation. The menu here is quite extensive, which is awesome. I got the Bun Bo Hue here, and it was phenomenal. Plus, the restaurant's chili sauce was insanely spicy but still so very flavorful. The service was great, and the meal was overall wonderful and very enjoyable. The restaurant is part of a major strip mall complex, so there is plentiful parking in the area. Went here last Sunday to try their Banh Canh Cua. The one star is mostly for the service here. While the Banh Canh Cua is missing crab, I was pleased with the taste of the broth and all of the other components in the food like the noodles and shrimp. However, while I was waiting for my food to come out, I heard a sneeze from their kitchen. I assumed the chefs would avoid sneezing in my food, but that isn't the case because now I have a sore throat and a fever just a day after visiting here. The food I would rate 3.5/5 stars, but the cleanliness of the workers is what made me give this place lower stars. I'm not coming back here until their food is just as advertised and until the workers keep themselves clean to avoid customers like me from being sick. read more

BIG TIP: avoid all their noodle soups. "Bún" soups are not good from the times I've tried such as bun bo hue or banh canh. Seems not freshly made and straight from freezer. Bún was completely torn apart (about 1 inch long) instead of one long strand. Portion size are also quite small for these soups. Better options: get seafood dishes like clams / squid / fish Decent/average value for food 2 appetizers and 2 main entrees will be about $72. Water is not free lol they only have water bottles and NO diet sodas. Generally more relaxed atmosphere. Not as much seatings as other places like Oc & Lau.
