I've ordered from DiCicco's many times and usually have a good experience, especially when placing larger orders. Unfortunately, this most recent pickup was really disappointing. I placed a fairly substantial order for a party platter and multiple pizzas for an office lunch. In the past, they've always included basic items like plates and utensils with an order like this. This time, the hostess told me they would charge $0.25 per plate and utensil, which honestly feels ridiculous when you're already spending a good amount of money on food. Because of that, I ended up having to stop at another store to buy plates and utensils last minute, which was a huge inconvenience. On top of that, no one offered to help me carry the large order out to my car, which they've always done before. And to make things worse, they forgot to make all of the pizzas. They did offer a couple desserts as a courtesy, but it didn't really make up for the inconvenience and extra running around. Overall, this experience felt unhelpful and disorganized compared to what I'm used to here. Needless to say, I won't be giving this location my business again--there are other places in town that are much more accommodating for large orders. read more

We had four different entree's at our table and all were delicious! The Scarface was exceptional. The servings were generous for the entree's as well the salads. The soup minestrone soup was our least favorite but it was not bad at all. The bread was very good and fresh too. The service was excellent. DiCicco's Madera. My husband was having a craving for ravioli and so we decided to go to DiCicco's. He order the pick 2 dinner with lasagna and ravioli, his favorites. The portions are generous and it comes with your choice of soup or salad. It was Friday night and their beautiful dining room was packed. Our waitress provided excellent service. The ambient music was just right, not too loud nor too quiet. We were they're early so it was us early birds mostly. We agreed it was our favorite visit so far. I had a custom calzone with the sauce on the side. It was fantastic. Just know it is huge and I had half to take home. As always the warm bread basket and butter is a highlight of all our visits. My husband likes that the Madera location offers the choose 2 dinner while the Sanger location, that he frequents with his parents, does not offer this. read more

I don't know what happened to this location but it's not at all how it used to be. Been coming here since it opened & slowly-very slowly, the food has become less authentic & basically now pizza parlor pasta. Very disappointing as the original I'm downtown Fresno is still great. The service the last 3 times I came was "ehh" at best & absent at worst. The hostesses never seem to know what's going on as well. The decor has gotten very bland lately & the lighting is too bright. The Italian music is hardly ever playing anymore either Tonight the wine was the only good thing & we waited an hour and a half for our food & the waitress did give us some cheesy bread but offered our order to go after an hour. We were like "we've already waited this long" wth? Many people were upset in the dinning area but they kept filling to go orders. Not worth the hassle or the price. And I don't know if they were bought out or what but this isn't a Diciccos to me anymore & I won't be coming back. Sad. read more

Staff made a weird no sense excuse for the calzone plate being late. But come on a child's meatball sandwich plate. That is what happens when the owner isn't hands on anymore. read more

I have never been a fan of Di'Ciccos but I am a sucker for good Italian food. I learned something new about this Franchise from the Franchise in Clovis, Ca, in which all Di'Ciccos have different recipes and menus and not consistently the same like typical chains. Which I am mind blown. Any who, my co workers love coming to this Di'Ciccos in Madera. They have great hospitality and always fast bringing out our orders especially since we can't pre-order in advance minus one star. I had my lunch birthday celebration here as well as with our unit office assistant. The water is not tap and taste delicious. The food is good and very cheesy. The owner or manager will come check in to see what can be better or if we enjoyed ourselves. Which they gave me a free ice cream, plus one star. I am a sucker for free stuff celebrating my birthday and thoughtful gestures. I was surprised that no one put pictures of the menu up on yelp so I snapped a few pictures of it! I never had any bad experiences and the food is always hot and tasty. Well managed and I love the owner/manager he is so sweet! If I'm in the area I'll definitely be back :) read more

My favorite place to eat every time I'm traveling through. The servers are great, the food is amazing and I love the ambiance.

Last night was very disappointing. It was our wedding anniversary, and my husband works 12-hour shifts. My husband called in the earlier part of the day, to confirm hours of operation for New Year's Day. He was told 9 pm. We arrived at 7:55PM, dressed nice, and a pick up order of a pizza was being picked up at the counter. The hostess said she didn't think she could seat us for dine in, because they planned to close early. I explained they close at 9, and she brushed us off, said she had to check, and continued preparing the to go order. I don't want to be rushed to eat, so we walked out to find somewhere else. She made no attempt to stop us. As we were walking out, a family of 4- walked in and were seated. Very disappointing considering this was the very place we contributed a large sum of money to 3-years ago (reception dinner in back room). That's why we chose to celebrate here. I'll be supporting other local restaurants going forward, and do not plan to return. Cazadores took care of us, and it was pleasant. *This review should be under the service category. read more

My parents and I came down for a funeral and family members invited us to join them here for dinner. Wow! Not only was this restaurant not overpriced, but the food was outstanding and the service was amazing! We were a group of fourteen and still the service was outstanding. I had an excellent Chicken Parmigiana. My mother had what she described as, "The best Chicken Cacciatore I have ever had." My father said his Eggplant Parmigiana was also the best that he had ever had. Our house salads were really good, bot nothing special. We also had the Deep Fried Ravioli and that was also good. The Marinara that was served with the ravioli was absolutely wonderful! The Calzones were huge and my cousins loved theirs. The bathroom was very clean. read more

I had to get a side of sauce and of course I was given so little for the amount pasta I was served. The waitress didn't even try to make it right she seen the amount of sauce I was given. Just had to leave the restaurant after waiting for over 50 minutes for my order and then to see patrons that came in after me receiving their food prior to me. Asked the waitress for an explanation and she said she did not know why. She was also that other patrons waitress. There is definitely customer preference at this restaurant. This restaurant is top tier. Marco, one of the hardest working industry workers I've met beside Jason lin of Fresno comes out, greets the guests, checks out food and overlooks everything. Every time I've come in its been amazing. The servers are all well out together and extremely professional and they're all very beautiful. Best part besides great ambiance is the food. Terrible experience. Lesson learned, always follow your gut instinct. As soon as I walked in I noticed an unappealing scent in the restaurant. The food was below average. I only ate a fourth of it because I was starving. As I was eating I noticed a cockroach on the table walking towards my food. My first instinct was to stop the cockroach with my napkin (look at picture for reference). I got the waitresse's attention and made her aware of the issue. She did not seem surprised but appeared very embarrassed about the situation. She said she would talk to that lead waitress about that situation to see what she can do for me. All they were able to do was give me a 10% discount and waive a $2 fee for extra sauce. It was an absolutely disgusting experience that I believe was treated as a normality, to the point the waitress still asked if I wanted to take my leftover food lol. read more

I'm here visiting, and was told this was a good place for a pizza. I was extremely unimpressed. The quality of the bread lacked any fluffiness, and was flat and heavy. The sauce tasted like a basic can sauce... the entire pizza was whatever tbh even the cuts were horrible and uneven. The pride in work seems to be lacking in the kitchen. Sadly to say this place may have fallen off whatever thrown it held in this town. Best pizza I've had is at premier. I hope this business finds its quality again. read more
