Totaling $15.00. I think it is a good value as fast food costs over $10 these days. The staff who took the order in the front was very nice and kindly let me know what was included as complimentary. Order took maybe 10 minutes to come out. When I got to the hotel to open the box, the portion looked big. 4 tacos are actually a lot of food and adding refried beans and chips & salsa was too much. Yesterday we came in to celebrate our daughter's 21st birthday. She's been having her birthday lunch here every year since she was 13, and we have always loved this restaurant. That's why this experience was so disappointing. We made a reservation ahead of time for 17 people and requested wheelchair access. Our table was ready and the food was good, but the service was unacceptable. Our waiter was extremely rude, making multiple comments and rolling his eyes, and at times completely ignoring our table. We asked to speak with a manager, who briefly came over, refilled drinks once, and then never returned. After that, the waiter came back and argued with us about why we spoke to the manager, which only made the situation worse. I was honestly shocked by how we were treated, especially on such a special occasion. It really has us questioning whether we will come back. read more

I have been here over many years at different days and times and have thought to review. However, each time I think I'll try next time to offer a better review. I'm finally at a this is what it is. Never super happy with service and I swear experiences are always never the same. When ordering a quesadilla on our last visit it looked like a stuffed taco. It could not be picked up like a quesadilla it had to be eaten with a fork. As usual the beans and rice lacked flavor. If this is a fave spot for some by all means keep it, but as someone who has been here for years and to many Mexican places in our area this is one of the least favorites for me. read more

This place is normally really good and takes care of their customers. The last couple times I have been here the staff have been extremely incompetent and rude. This time they sat us down at a half booth table in the corner of the room and next to a 20 top. My wife and I had to sit next to each other on the same side due to the location of the table. There were empty tables around us within the same seating zone, so we asked if we could move to another table since we were crammed and it was pretty loud by the larger table. They said yes but never made an attempt to move us, instead our waitress came back with our food and silently set our plates down before abruptly walking off. I had ordered fajitas. I got the rice beans and steak but no tortillas. I had to ask for the tortillas multiple times but this waitress was so concerned with the 20 person table next to us that it seemed we weren't worth her time. While this is going on, the table of 20 people were extremely loud, my wife was sitting right beside me and I couldn't hear her. We decided to just pay and go since it was clear we weren't going to have an enjoyable meal. I asked for a couple boxes and the check. As I was putting my food in the box, our waitress had the audacity to grab the plate out of my hand. I don't know if she was having a bad day but this person should definitely not be in the floor and would probably be better suited for strictly bussing tables. Their food is good, but we have now experienced more bad than good at this restaurant, this experience being our worst restaurant experience ever. Decent place for some texmex food. Chips and salsa are plentiful and delicious. Highly recommend the carnitas- they were definitely the best dish. Food and a drink will come out to roughly $30 a head so it's not the cheapest but it's pretty good. Back in 2019 we moved to Georgia from Houston, Tx. One of the things we had plenty of in Houston was a choice of legitimate Tex-Mex restaurants. What a surprise to find a similar restaurant 700 miles East. Sapo's is conveniently located off i185 and along the Manchester Expressway in Columbus, Georgia. Outside it has the proper mix of architecture and plenty of parking, including a number of spots for the handicapped. Inside is a paint job you only find in good Tex-Mex joints; reds, yellows, oranges, and dark wood furnishings. A ton of video screens for those so inclined to keep up with sports every waking second (not of that category, but YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE). There's room for parties as well as smaller booths, but if it's a first date you may want some place a little quieter unless you have no problems shouting sweet nothings across the table. The atmosphere on a typical night is lively, with a mix of modern music with occasional pieces of mariachi floating through the air. For those with mobility issues, the staff does a good job of trying to accommodate and help make things easy. Speaking of the staff, our guy tonight was David, and he's typical of the wait staff for the restaurant. Quick to get our drink orders, check for appetizers, and getting my wife's order right (she has a few dietary issues as well as a delicate palette), and checking on us through the dinner. The order: my wife had a taco and beans, both with no cheese, taco with no tomato. I had the fajitas quesadilla (chicken) and a tamale with cheese sauce. It's a bulging quesadilla filled with protein, vegetables, and cheese. The tamale is the kind you expect back in the open market areas being sold by the abuelas in their stalls, plenty of flavorful meat with enough masa to hold it together and soft and warm, I also ordered the jalapeño margarita, one of my favorite margarita flavors, along with a tajin straw (basically, take a straw, roll in tamarind paste, then in Tajin spice mix, repeat until there is a loverly outer shell of tamarind and spice mix on the outside of the straw). If you like the flavor of jalapeños, the margarita does not disappoint. The quesadilla was hot and flavorful and huge. Lunch for tomorrow! Their tacos do not stint on the filling and make a good meal for my wife. The tamale did not survive the experience, but it was so good! It is our opinion that you have to work real hard to walk away from Sapo's hungry (unless you don't like good, reasonably priced Tex Mex, in which case ... Waffle House!!!!). Their portions are large, and the food has that Tex-Mex satisfaction of plenty of flavor. The management is active throughout the restaurant, occasionally checking in with customers, other times doing what floor managers need to do, help make things work smoothly. One last thing to mention; the kitchen does a righteous Mexican shrimp cocktail, loaded with shrimp and a chunky sauce that the shrimp swim in. Served in a huge goblet with plenty of crackers, a slice of pineapple, several lime wedges, cucumber, and more shrimp along the rim (because they couldn't get them into the glass), it is a great cool meal on a hot day (or night). During the Summer months it is my go-to choice any time we go there. Their flan is some of the smoothest, creamiest, and dense that I've had anywhere. Everyone's welcome there; kids, grandpas, Tio Matt, bring it, they'll be happy to sit you down to some of the best Tex Mex in the region. So far I haven't had a dish that didn't live up to expectations. You'll find good food, good staff, and a lively atmosphere to spend time relaxing and sipping on your favorite adult beverage. read more

I took my husband here for Father's Day it was a total disaster. First of all we were ignored by the server a short stout unfriendly guy. He sat us and didn't come back my husband had to go locate him. I wanted to substitute spinach for lettuce on my taco salad. I was told he couldn't do it. Secondly, the taco salad comes with shredded cheese because I wanted the salad heated the server said he couldn't do it. He'd have to use cheese dip. The chicken on the taco salad was very dry cold and clumpy with little to no cheese. My husband ordered bone in wings with fries and a fiesta salad the fries were nearly raw and so were the wings. The server didn't come back to check on us at all, my husband had to go hunt him down. His focus was on the couple at the bar whom he made sure he supplied them with many alcoholic drinks. He totally ignored us . I vowed never to go there again. The meals were nearly $75 they were not worth it. I felt cheated ignored unwanted there. I simply wanted my hard working husband to enjoy his Father's Day with a relaxing good meal. It didn't happen thanks to the server and the cook. They deserve zero stars. read more

I used to be a regular at this place but they have lost my business forever!!! Me and my son sit down and for over 10 minutes we were totally ignored. A Mexican couple comes in 15 minutes AFTER us and the waitress scurries over to take their order. I get her attention to let her know we were here first and nobody came to assist us and she literally threw her hands up like whatever. I get up to go tell the manager what happened and they too seemed to have a whatever attitude. One of the guys who normally waits on us (nice guy) offered to seat us in his area but by this time their attitude TOTALLY turned me off.
