Been eating here for years, come with the family often. It's hands down the best restaurant in Columbus. From the atmosphere, the price, the portions and quality, it's not even close. My husband and I have been coming to Guadalajara since they opened, circa 2020/2021. We used to live in Midland and it was a hop-skip away. We go out of our way since we live in Hamilton now. Guadalajara was busy on a Wednesday night but we didn't have any problem being seated. The table salsa doesn't have any heat to it, wished it was a little spicier. My husbands meal looked very bland and basic, he had the number 32. My chile poblano was very well spiced, however the onions were severely undercooked and the chile relleno was soggy by the time it got to the table. We got steak and fries dinner and the seafood taco dinner. It came with rice and beans, chips and salsa, a slaw and a yummy chipotle sauce. The steak was really good and has some fajita veggies. The fries under the steak were too soggy and tasted old. But the steak with cheese and fajita veggies was so yum. The sea food tacos were 1 shrimp taco and 1 fish taco. The shrimp tacos were so so good the fish was meh. The slaw came separate and you add at the time to eat. Overall I loved the place and would go back to try more things. This is closer to a 4.5 review instead of 5 star review. I came here for dinner with a coworker as we are on travel. We came here based upon the Yelp reviews. The food was really good and quite tasty. The salsa at the start was not spicy but it was definitely one that layered. Our waitress brought cheese dip that neither of us ordered. It was quite good but definitely extra. Our waitress also described our meals as smaller then they really ended up being. So this lead to both of us ordering extra food. Both of us were tired so we didn't think anything of being told this even though Mexican is normally massive amounts. Another massive reason for the decrease was the fact that we had to get another waiter to find our waitress so we could get our check. Once our food got dropped off, I think we saw our waitress not at all until we got the check. I don't remember, but I don't think she even dropped off the food. I will definitely be back on future trips to Ft. Benning for work. This was definitely a good place to go and I do frequently travel to Ft. Benning. read more

When I asked him specifics about menu items, he looked at me as If I was stupid. For instance, I asked if chili verde was a meat option.... I'm in Columbus visiting family and they insisted on me trying this place since they know I love a great margarita and Mexican food. I am not disappointed.. Not too many options in this small town but thankful they have this one and they had options!! We came with a fairly large group, started with the house chips and salsa and then ordered table guacamole. The house salsa is very bland and tastes like a watery salty tomato water. I asked for any hot salsa they might have, the waiter brought a side out and it was much better than the table stuff. The server handled us well as I'm sure we were annoying. I ordered the largest jalapeno margarita and it came quite quickly. It's a 48 oz margarita and I honestly was very tipsy by the time the food came out, unsure of how the guys went through 2-3 of those, they are insane! They 100% stole the show here. For food I got the vegetarian chimichanga and was not disappointed. The chimichanga veggies were actually flavored and not bland, I asked for rinse and beans inside the chimichanga also but I do not think they actually did so, since as I ate I didn't see any added in. However rice and beans did come with the chimichanga and I ate it with that. The rice was kind of bland and the beans also, they could've used a kick or some seasonings there as well, the hotter salsa saved the dish. Absolutely one of my favorite places to go eat in Columbus, Georgia! My favorite thing to get is the quesadilla. I've tried other items at this restaurant but they make the quesadillas exactly the way I like them! I especially like going during lunch since it's just one chicken quesadilla with a side of rice and beans and it's enough to fill me up for the rest of the day. The chicken quesadilla always comes out golden and the chicken is cooked just right. I love the beans and rice as well since they make it just right and the rice is never dry.
