I have been a regular customer for 9 years. The food is always great and fresh! The waiters are like family.

Well now this is a first!!! Our favorite Mexican restaurant of 5 years now has went full DEI. According to the front door we can no longer get our favorite host to serve us over ... jealousy? Seriously??? Well I hope jealousy fills your tables, as we don't plan on coming back due to ludicrous mgmt rules like this. We have been to Acapulco's 3 times so far and everything has been amazing. Fajitas for 2 fed 3 with leftovers. The Texas Acapulco plate was enough for 2. The cheese dip has flavor, most places are just bland. This is definently our Mexican restaurant of choice. We will be back, again and again!! read more

Had been going down for awhile, but they fixed it. Food back to being great, service is good. I enjoy going there with my wife.

We have been going to this restaurant for 12 years and have loved it. Service seems a little slow lately, but it is still a lovely place.

Went to have dinner party of 6, 5 adults and a 4 year old ,started out good then well things went down hill quick ordered drinks ok ordered appetizers ok then we ordered dinner well tables that sat down after us received their food well before our table , when dinner came out only 3 plates came out waited 15 minutes for the other 3, the chicken and rice were dry and the easiest thing ordered was the chicken nuggets and ff which cam out dead last, said something to the manager and her comment was they do what they want in the kitchen .Her attitude does not belong in the hospitality business she was very rude read more

Excellent Mexican food, and very good service. My favorite is baked-chiles-rellenos. Their burritos are very good, served with rice and beans. I am sure there are other Mexican restaurants are that are good but this is still my favorite. read more

I attended this restaurant on 10/18/23 with my family. I have been here twice before in July. Food was delicious both times in July, but the service was absolute trash. Our server was a man about 45 years old, both occasions. He served us once, and never came back willingly to the table even though we were the only table in use. We had to get up and get his attention. Several employees were in the next booth section, and laying down on the wood booths' with their phone. Weird, and uninviting atmosphere. On 10/18/23 we walked in and had a nice blonde lady greet us and sit us down. Our server was a Hispanic lady with curly blondish hair, medium build, about 5'3" who had a VERY unfriendly face. She looked mad. Maybe her face rests that way? She started off decent, but as WE asked for items that we needed (fork, napkins, and cup with ice), she started to get snappy. I asked for a new fork because my baby dropped mine. She said I HAD TO GET UP AND WALK TO THE FRONT RECEPTION AREA AND ASK THE EMPLOYEE IN THE FRONT TO GIVE ME A NEW ONE. My dad had to get up to get my fork. If I have to go through this trouble, EAT ELSEWHERE, or STAY HOME. SAD because the food was great, which is why we came back hoping for a different outcome. read more

My girlfriend and I were here a few weeks ago for lunch. They have an amazing lunch menu that is more than affordable. I got the chimichanga smothered in queso and it was amazing. Perfect portion, perfect queso, bad service. It loses a star because the waiter (or anyone working in the establishment) did not wear a mask. Also, they kept asking us to order when we were clearly not ready. There were only one other table in the whole joint so I don't know why we were rushed. Once we ordered and got our food, our waiter was no where to be found. We waited over 20 minutes to get our check. Overall, the food was great, the service could step it up a little and come on guys.... wear your masks!!!! read more

Tuesday December 8th my co- worker and I went for lunch. We work at the Walmart market down the street. They gave us are silverware that was rolled in the napkin, that had food on the fork, the knife had trash & spots on it.... Today Wednesday December 9th we went back to the same place today all we were able to eat were a few tips and a couple of dips of salsa and as I was dipping into the salsa there was a live cockroach crawling around the salsa Bowl we just got up and left and this is a true statement I would not lie on any restaurant it's sad that we had horrible service the day before but by us working here in the area we tried to go back again but we would never be back to this restaurant ever I really wish I had gotten pictures but it made both of us sick my coworker is only 9 weeks pregnant and she threw up and I just have a knot in my throat that I don't think we'll go away until tomorrow just be aware what's going on with your food even though we're in a covid-19 pandemic doesn't mean you get to slack off on cleanliness and sanitation and your restaurant this is very sad because yesterday was my first time there today was my last time there thank you so very much be safe everyone read more

This is probably the worst Mexican food I've had in the Columbus area. Even the chips left a lot to be desired. The atmosphere was colorful and fun, but the food was definitely lacking. Definitely not authentic Mexican, but I wasn't anticipating it to be- simply sharing for anyone hunting for that. I wouldn't consider it Tex Mex either, but rather just a terrible attempt at Mexican food. No flavor, and I'll never come back, even just for chips and salsa. read more

This place sucks. I wouldn't let my dog eat this crap. I went to this poor excuse of a restaurant on April 14, 2022 on my way home from work, got a to go order. I was very much looking forward to a great dinner. That is NOT what I got, it was terrible, food was awful, poorly packaged, poorly prepared. it was not edible, so I went to bed hungry that night. Nothing special about the food -- not bad, not great. The chips have been stale on several occasions and they don't offer draft beer. The décor is kinda cool and the food does come out quick, but there are many better options for good Mexican cuisine than this place. read more

Is 1 star really the lowest rating I can give?! My family and I walked in the door, was NOT greeted, waited about 10 mins for some guy to come just motion for us to follow him. We were seated, after 15 minutes we got our drinks and cheese dip. Still haven't received menus at this point. Another 10 minutes go by and we are asked what we want.... Well a menu would be nice. Another 15 minutes our orders were taken, all while the waiter is acting like we are interrupting his evening. He is very rushed, not very polite, no hospitality at all. Food is okay. But the service is HORRIBLE!!!!!! We are still here. I'm sure the service won't get much better.... :( Edit. Still here. Had our food less than 10 mins and the waiter came over trying to take our plates. My daughters needed to use the restroom. The giant margaritas are giant, but they do cost an arm and a leg. I'm sure they were busy, but not busy enough for the weak service I got with my friends. We went with my buddy, who is a known regular. The waiter knew his order without asking, but failed to please anyone else at the table. Our food came out and was set on the table next to us. We waited for a moment thinking they were quickly grabbing something. This wasn't the case, and I jumped to action finishing the handing out of our food before it became completely cold. This could have been okay if there was any silverware on the table. We had to ask more then once for forks while our food sat before us. I really want to give this place a single star, but the food was not bad. If I was local I would give them a chance to make it up to me, but I wouldn't hope for much. I've given this place a few tries before actually writing a review. The first couple times were ok... the chips were stale and the service was meh... we wanted to like it just because it's so close to our house. We went for our last visit and were so beyond disappointed. The chips tasted old and stale. They were a little busy so we patiently waited. We sat a solid 15 mins before anyone came to take our drink order. While other people that came after us were already getting their food. We ordered our food then waited another 40 mins for it to arrive. There were only 4 of us so not a big party. When the food finally came my daughters was cold, mine was room temp and looked like ground sausage not the al pastor I had ordered. Also my drink never came and was still on the check. When we sent my daughters back the waiter said nothing and brought us the same plate of dried our chicken that looked like it had just been microwaved. This also took another 15 mins to get back. I feel like it's way overpriced for the quality of food and service. read more

American washed Mexican food with American cheese thrown all over everything the only thing that is done right is there Mexican little tacos which I hope no one could mess up. I cannot write a review on the food because my friends and I were never served. We waited for 25-30 minutes and no one came to get our drink order and the restaurant was not busy. We then had to chase a busboy down to ask what the issue was and he told us that they ran out of food and drinks. He told us this at 8:20pm and they close at 10:00pm. We proceeded to see other drinks and food delivered to other tables so we left. I highly recommend staying away from this place. El Dorado's down the street actually has customer service. read more

The husband and I have tried to find a good Mexican place to eat in Columbus and phenix city and sadly we weren't impressed in the least with Acapulcos . The chips and salsa were good, cheese dip mediocre, the beef and bean burrito was disgusting the sauce tasted like spaghetti sauce.. My taco was stale the husband chicken quesadilla was dry. I would not call this authentic by any means. I've been to Texas and Mexico and Puerto Rico & I don't even know if this good is Hispanic. I used to go with my family a lot, since we live less than 10 minutes from our house, it's very convenient, but the last time I we went we order a pina colada and I noticed it didn't have any alcohol, I didn't even feel any difference from a regular non alcohol drink, not that I wanted to get drunk but I can tell that the drink had 0 alcohol or they just put a drop on it, and they charged me more than 8 dollars, right there I decided not to go back. read more

I must say this place is a lot better than el vaquero the food was fresh, homemade, made with care, I tried a beef burrito (comes with beans inside) and a fried chicken quesadilla (I'm not big on the fried part upon ordering, but couldn't taste any greasy/fried food taste in it) the place was kinda dead only 3 tables were occupied. I placed a Togo order, the food was out In 5 minutes, overall I really enjoyed this place the food reminds me or Mexican restaurants I've had OUTside of this area that really care about how they're food tastes, I know this is a country town but it's no excuse serving stuff that tastes like its straight from a can (like most Mexican places out here) I can't wait to come back! Solid tex-mex. everything was fresh and well made. The low ratings from other reviews were about service, which can very for any restaurant. Our service was good. The other low review someone wanting authentic Mex food. Obviously around here most food is Tex Mex and not a taquira so that's unrealistic. Spot on, if not better than most other restaurants in the area. Beer is bottles only, but food was a solid 4-5 stars. read more
