Wow. These Thai flavors are different from what I have previously. With the pork fried rice, you can taste the fire and char from the wok, which elevates the dish and provides a good depth of flavor. Pork jowl was also good, but could have been cut a bit smaller to capture the extra char for a stronger bite. Tom Yum Tiger Prawn soup was awesome. You'll need to get some white rice to go with that, especially on a cold or rainy day. Mama E-la didn't last long on the table. Enough said about that dish. Love how the service kept checking on us and noticed how quickly that dish went. Never had salted egg papaya salad until this day. Great flavors and unique. I would love to try this dish again as well. Inside, you'll be greeted with friendly staff and vibrant decor. Definitely a fun spot for groups. Would love to come back and try their other dishes and creativity. Great job team!

Passed by Sappesian a bunch of times while waking through the neighborhood. Finally sat down and got lunch there after reading some reviews. This is a Thai place that lives up to the hype unlike say Thai Diner. We ordered the green papaya salad, the duck red curry, the green chicken curry, the crying tiger (steak), and iced coffee. All very good. I especially enjoyed my steak. The ambiance is very hip and bustling. The service was pretty standard. I would definitely come again and try their sister restaurant. word

Have visited Sappe twice, and it's a fun spot on 14th Street for Thai street food done really well. The space is lively and colorful, with a boisterous energy, loud music, bright decor, and a packed room. I have been seated in both the front and back dining areas, and in each, tables are fairly close together, so it can feel a bit tight. The food is the highlight here, while the drinks are less compelling. Cocktails range from about $20 to $26 and tend to be overly complex. On my first visit, I ordered one with foam and too many ingredients and I ended up sending it back, and the staff handled it graciously and replaced it without issue. The, I tried the Somsri, which is essentially a dressed-up frozen margarita with guava purée and spicy plum powder, and I enjoyed that much more. Still, I would recommend focusing on the food. I have tried several dishes across visits. The skewers (four for $20) are a great place to start, I've tried the grilled mushroom and grilled marinated pork. Both times, I ordered the Mama-E-La ($25), a dish of grilled egg noodles with beef in a sweet soy-pepper glaze. It is very flavorful, slightly sweet, and satisfying. The papaya salad (Tum Thai Kai Kem) is also a very good, and an interesting twist on this more traditional salad with salted egg. The wings are another good option. Overall, I would recommend Sappe for its creative takes on Thai favorites and variety of dishes that make you want to come back and try more. It is a fun, energetic spot that works well for groups or kicking off a night out.

I love Thai food and hopefully the feelings are mutual... We were looking for an aesthetic, yet vast menu-ed Thai spot and thankfully Sappe showed up. The inside reminds me of nightlife in Asia-colorful lights, loud noise from chatter, tight seating, and a karaoke esque room in the back for bigger parties. Note: If it is your birthday, make sure to shout it from the rooftops because the employees will make a big show and sing Happy Birthday to ya. We ordered: Hed Tod Laab Pla Todd Spicy Basil Mushroom Fried Rice While the fried enoki mushroom is a popular appetizer, due to its chewiness my main concern was the chance of choking so I mainly just ate the outer friedness. The fried branzino was perfectly seasoned and for its size, could be split between two people. The fried rice was actually spicy even though I got a small spoonful and for its dish size, it felt more like an appetizer. The menu seems accommodating to all i.e. Vegan / Vegetarian / GF and it can feel a bit much given how loud it can get to lock in, so I'd recommend looking at the menu ahead of time online so you can order efficiently.

SAPPESIAN is the new sister spot from the Soothr team. It opened in 2024 with a fun and vibrant vibe inspired by 1950s Thailand and Isan street food. We got the Mama E-la, prawn pad Thai, and pork, marinated beef, and chicken skewers. Everything was fantastic and honestly better than Soothr. It's more spacious and almost looks like a fancy deli. My favorite Thai restaurant I've ever been to in the city. I'll recommend this place to anyone looking for Thai food. Highly recommend.

5/5 Our server YOYO was amazing. He was attentive and check up on up . He has nice skin too. Ambiance 5/5 : would come here again to bring friends or a date night. Food 4.5 : 4.5 the noodles was good. It's like a sweet beef noodles. 5/5 shrimp Tom yum . Amazing flavors. Everything is well balance. Mild in spicy 4.5 zabbs ribs : a little disappointed as I thought there was more zabbs seasoning. It is SPICY. Flavors is delicious. Would I come back? Yes, I would like to try their cocktails.

I've been wanting to dine here but due to life priorities that will not be happening anytime soon. I discovered that Sappe delivers meals to my job via UberEats and took advantage of the promo. For today's lunch I ordered Thai iced tea which was BOGO and the lunch special containing Boong Moo Sub that came with an appetizer Fried Wonton with Quail egg. Everything hit the spot. Portions were perfect, spice balance was on point. Quail egg wontons were a bit messy but was glad that I tried it. I have yet to try the Thai ice tea as the portions were very generous. Today I tried the Thai Iced Tea and it hits the spot with perfect drinking portion and taste despite being in the fridge overnight.

Great place for some authentic Thai food. We had a reservation for 5pm on Saturday and there was already a line when we got there. The restaurant is fairly large and casual, and can be a tad loud. We were seated promptly and the menu was through a QR code. We started off with the pork jowl which was nicely grilled and came with a spicy dipping sauce. For entrees we had the pad kee mao and the shrimp tom yum hot pot. The noodles were classic and the hotpot was rich. Service was quick and they were prompt with refilling my water. Can't wait to return to try some other dishes.

If you're a fan of Soothr in nyc, you'll most likely like their sister restaurant Sappe -- where Soothr leans into familiar Thai favorites, Sappe carves out its own lane with a focus on northeastern Thai cuisine, so leave your Pad Thai expectations at the door. My friend and I started with the Mama E-La, their signature wok-fried egg noodles. The noodles had a deeply satisfying chew and a bold, savory flavor (garlicky, my fav!). It honestly would hit as a late-night-craving. Sappe is also well known for their skewers -- 12 options, all char-grilled over an open flame. Worth exploring, though in terms of appetizers I wouldn't order their fried enoki mushrooms again, which came out a little too oily for my taste. Their Buk Prao dessert was the surprise of the night and easily the best thing I ate. It's a whole coconut shell filled with sweet sticky rice, jackfruit, butterfly pea-infused coconut gelato, peanuts, and toasted coconut nibs, finished with a drizzle of evaporated milk. I'm not typically a dessert person, but this converted me. Don't skip it. The vibe here is loud, colorful, packed with energy -- the ceiling mirrors add a playful touch that makes the space feel lively without being overwhelming. It's a fun night out.

My friend picked this place on a whim and solid choice for thai. Pretty authentic as there were Thai people working there. Love the decor/aesthetics of restaurant and the employees were all attentive. My friend really enjoyed the spicy raw crab. The portion was great and had alot of meat in the crab. Many places skimp on the amount. Mango sticky rice was alright. Not a fan of it but was a good sweet treat for the end of meal. My fave was the fried enoki mushrooms. Alot of people ordered it and it would be one thing I'd get repeatedly. Anything fried always hits. The beef noodles is oily but helps calm the spicy food we had. Definitely coming back but wont be getting the blue cocktail. That tastes like straight up medicine.

Sappe known for their Isan-style street food! Thought the space is a bit cramped, the interior design is stunning, def worth the Resy since they get packed! What we got: Hed Tod ($15) 4/5: Loved the crunch on these fried enoki mushrooms. Super unique! Mama E-La ($25) 4/5: Wok-fired flavors were on point and the beef was perfectly tender Skewers ($30 for 6): A total highlight. Most were incredibly juicy! Top picks: -Marinated Chicken 4.5/5 -Mushroom 4.5/5 -Beef 4.5/5 Lek Plara Gai ($23) 3.75/5: Tender chicken, but the noodles leaned a little too sweet for me. Zaab Hang ($27) 3.75/5: Looked beautiful but the ribs felt a bit over-seasoned and slightly overcooked

Absolutely delicious food with perfect spice and flavor! Portions are not overwhelming and the service is so friendly! Felt like I was back in Thailand at a beach bar. The only dish that wasn't mind-blowing was the mama e la... But I can honestly say that I can eat mama e la everyday if I could. If you like spice, get the papaya salad with the skewers as the app

AMAZING dinner. seriously no bad bite here. the mama e-la noodles were perfect and mok kala curry had this interesting mousse texture but still very good along with the crying tiger, which tasted fantastic. the soothr team did great here.

The cocktail menu is very creative - I got one of their seasonal mixes that was actually two drinks in one. The main cocktail was meant to be sipped first and they provided a small glass of beer to be sipped after. The name escapes me but it was very good. For drinks, we ordered the Smoke Show and the King Tusk. The Smoke Show was beautifully balanced.
