Got the basil fried rice and it was delicious! I just wish the fried rice had more vegetables though. The service was good and the ambiance was chic!

Wan Waan is an authentic Thai restaurant in Chelsea, Manhattan, known for its nostalgic atmosphere and elevated traditional cuisine. Wanwaan means "days long ago" which is reflected in the interiors of this restaurant and by blending modern style with cozy, traditional elements that evoke a sense of memory and nostalgia. What we tried Mocktails Pattaya wings Soft shells crabs Honey basil duck Pad see eww with chicken Mango sticky rice Wan Waan emphasizes feeling through the taste of food, and believes that by stimulating positive emotions through delicious cuisine, they will bring guests nostalgic memories of the past. I definitely recommend a stop at wan waan

I was craving some Thai food and I stumbled upon this place. The server was nice and attentive. She ensured that I had everything I needed and that the service was excellent. I ordered a Lychee Martini for my drink. For my appetizer I had the Fried Chicken Gyoza and for my entree I had the Pad See Ew with Chicken. Both were delicious and it was the best Thai food I had in a long time. I will definitely visit this establishment again. The restaurant wasn't noisy and it got packed quickly. I'll also share this restaurant with everyone I know.

I think you should blow your mind with the crab fried rice there and get it spicy because that sweet heat sauce is really something else. You should also get the fried ice cream, and Fish cakes with the cucumber relish, which is just cucumbers in a sweet Thai chili sauce, but it's on a bed of fried basil that's super tasty. Also the service here is so fantastic it really makes you wonder why you're tipping 20% at takeout pizza when this is above and beyond.

Service was very good, we had a reservation and were seated within 5 minutes. The papaya salad was very refreshing and light, and the friend chicken was seasoned pretty well. The food was also inexpensive, I'd say this place is a good place to go to for affordable high quality food!

I eat a lot of Thai food and this restaurant in Chelsea really surprised me with how flavorful everything was! From the beautiful mocktails to their apps and entrees, I have no complaints for everything I ate. The Phuket Dream and Sangaya mocktail drinks were wonderful. I love how Chicken Satays were moist and tender. The Curry Puffs were very flaky with a nice starchy filling. I loved the Grilled Steak Fried Rice because of the fatty salty steak. The Pad See Ew noodles were also not stuck together which I see at a lot of Thai spots, so that was a great sign! I never had duck this tender and not dry, so I recommend pairing it with their crispy duck. I ended the meal with a nice sweet Mango Sticky Rice. Service was excellent and the place got packed for lunch time on a Saturday!

The restaurant was very accommodating and fit the five of us in without reservations. Another bonus for offering happy hour until 8 p.m. with snacks and drink specials. The rice cake was so unique and tasty! All the cocktails were delicious and boozy! The service was prompt and friendly (big thanks for letting our group split the check!). Can't wait to come back again soon!

Super fast and efficient service! Great portions, and pretty tasty! Slightly bland, but still good!

The atmosphere what's nice as usual it was a busy Thursday afternoon. I did not have a reservation, but I only waited. Five minutes to be seated, I keep coming here for the same thing over and over pineapple curry duck is to die for with lychee and my wife at steak fried rice, she loved it and my son had the crab fry rice and he finished his plate , the service was on point and the food came out quickly

Was very impressed with the value of the happy hour here, $10 drinks everyday until 8pm! Even on weekends. The food was served hot and fresh, and the vibes inside were intimate and fun. I think the roti massaman appetizer is a little small, it would've been nice to have received more than 1 piece of roti for $9. But overall the food was flavorful and service was quick and attentive without feeling rushed

Super solid Thai spot. Thankfully no wait or super long line like a lot of trendy Thai spots in the city. Ordered the massaman curry with beef and coconut shrimp. Both tasted delicious, ate every crumb! Only complaint is that it was quite sunny and we were sat near the window, so it was very bright and a bit hot. Maybe some blinds or sheer curtains would help? Cute spot, would be back.

Overall: 5 stars Newer Thai restaurant that popped up on my radar recently and I was so impressed by the menu, which was full of intriguing options, of which none my sensitive stomach could tolerate well at this time, so I went for the classic Pad See Ew. The noodles were tender, piping hot, and had a sweet saline comfort to the bite. The chinese broccoli is cut with expert precision for tender yet crisp texture and the egg is well scrambled to serve as a light crumble. Prices are all very fair and I'm very much looking forward to returning to try the rest of the menu when my stomach is not failing me. Solid Thai food, excellent service in a cute popular restaurant. The heat level on the soft drunken noodles (3 chikies) is just perfect.

The energy is right there, hovering, but it never actually lands. It's giving "almost iconic" but not quite--like a party that never fully starts. And that's what gets me. Because this bar could EASILY be that spot. The kind people plan their week around. Where are the themed nights? Where's the drama? The chaos? Give me a reason to come back on a random Wednesday. Do a city-event tie-in, a holiday takeover, literally anything that makes it feel alive instead of just... existing. Because right now it feels like a missed opportunity wearing a cute outfit. BUT--let's talk about the one thing they absolutely did not fumble: the view. The VIEW??? Insane. Genuinely stunning. The kind of view that makes you pause mid-sentence and remember you're in New York and not just spiraling in your own life choices. It's carrying the entire experience on its back, respectfully. So yeah. I'd come back... but mostly for the view and the potential. If they ever decide to actually do something with this space? It could be dangerous (in a good way). Until then, it's vibes... just not fully realized ones.
