Evan and Ferial run a great pool service company. I've been with them for about 10 years and their guys are very good. If there's ever any problem with my pool, they're on top of it and send somebody out immediately. If I have pool equipment troubles, they can fix it. If I need new pool equipment (I've had to replace everything over the 10 years) they can install it. Prices are very fair. I don't think you'll find a better company out there. read more

A friend who has used Sapphire recommended them to me. We just purchased a new house with a pool (we bought it two weeks ago and move in tomorrow). I have never had a pool that I have had to take care of. My friend reminded me that I need to take care of the pool on a weekly basis but with all that has been going on, it has been the furthest thing from my mind. I called Sapphire and the woman on the phone told me they could get out next week given it is a holiday weekend. That seemed reasonable, its already been 2 weeks since the pool was managed. Then she asked if we would be needing weekly service and I told her I have no idea - likely at least for the summer but since I don't know anything about this stuff I don't know if its something I'll be able (or want to) manage on my own. When I said that her attitude changed and she said she may not even be able to guarantee getting someone out next week since they just lost an employee. Although I can't speak to their actual pool servicing, I found the representative I spoke to curt and unhelpful. I can understand they are understaffed. But a simple conversation to try to help my understand what my needs might be and what a pool service does / provides, might have convinced me that I will definitely need them to come out on a weekly basis. I guess I will be looking elsewhere. Needless to say I am quite disappointed and my friend may even start to look for new service as well. read more

Terrible service. I had them for 3 years from the time I purchased the house since the previous owner was using them as well. I didn't want to fire them as I noticed the extremely bad services since they were aware of the pool. The clueless and careless pool technician is awful. He doesn't do most of the basic pool services. He can't turn the water on or off if it's low. He shut down the pool services through the circuit breaker and not the pool panel and then you have to pay him to come back to turn it on since he doesn't tell anyone what he has done. They charge a lot for almost the smallest things you can imagine. They tried to repair a leak in the heater a couple of times without any success while charged a lot for the failed repairs. To change a copper pipe for the heater, they charged $200 and $250 without repairing the issue. They wanted to come back and try again for another $450 while a different pool services charged $140 for the entire repair. Stay clear from this awful pool services. read more

After our pool came down with a serious case of algae, Evan helped us drain, clean, and fill our pool. He was attentive to our needs and concerns and collaborated with us to determine the best way to get the job done. Evan also educated us with how to maintain the pool's chemicals. Update...As my prior review stated, we have never had any significant issues with the quality of their service. For some reason that baffles both us and them, we have had ongoing accounting issues, and we are likely in the minority on that front. We continue to use them, would continue to recommend them, and continue to work through the odd accounting issues we have had. I've raised my rating to reflect the quality of their service which is fine, and that hopefully the accounting issues, which are a joint responsibility, are hopefully behind us. read more

Sapphire has been absolutely outstanding. Last year I had my pool replastered and lined up a pool service out of Alamo to handle the tricky task of getting the pool chemicals in balance after a new plaster job. The result was a disaster, calcium deposited onto the plaster surfaces making them very rough and black alge took hold and penetrated the new plaster job. I fired that pool guy and brought in Sapphire who has saved me from this disaster. They were able to fully kill the black alge with no sign left and most if not all of the calcium deposits have been reabsorbed back into the water solution. We have had two different employees servicing our pool and both have been polite, dependable and extremely competent. Thank you for a job well done. read more

Evan and staff are great. They respond quickly and are a pleasure to work with. Evan does quality work and is very thorough. I had a heater problem recently and Evan diagnosed the problem and got it up and running in minutes. Many companies would have left it at that, quick fix, charge a service call and leave, but not Evan. He took the time to fully evlaluate the heater and found the jets and burners were not operating effiiently and found additional problems. Oftentimes when "additional problems" are found it is the company trying to "pad the bill". I have found this not to be true with Evan. He truely wants to do the right thing and make sure your equipment is running efficiently, reducing overall operating costs. I trust Evan unconditionally. And the weekly service technition, Urbano, keeps our pool clean and clear. I highly recommend Sapphire to anyone wanting honest, knowledgable and reputable pool service. read more
