I tried a few other sushi places in Bradenton and then I found this place. I love their customer service and of course their sushi! I usually get a sweet potato roll (my favorite). This time we kept it more simple with avocado and tuna and it was amazing. They don't give too much soy sauce or wasabi (I use my own at home, but good to know if you like extra). Haven't gotten an opportunity to dine-in yet but I will come back and update when I do. Ambiance inside is nice. Looks like there is plenty of seating and some outside in the front as well. This is a small Japanese sushi place that also serves some other Japanese dishes such as hibachi. The atmosphere had some lovely Japanese music playing. They have bar seating you can watch the sushi chefs make the sushi but they also have booths. The decor is black, white and pleasant. We always admire the wavy back splash in the sushi area. It's so pretty. I'm not a seafood girl so I never order such I but my husband loves sushi so he will get it every time usually with a seaweed salad. I ordered steak hibachi with veggies and noodles. All delicious! The noodles here are sautéed with the veggies and taste delicious. You get amazing dipping sauces for the steak! I got a clear soup and a ginger They have an amazing selection of sake so if you love sake you'll love this place. They also have fountain drinks, beer and wine. Service is very very good. Friendly and efficient. They also have lunch bento boxes and other specials so good for the work day. They do take out too. I love me some sushi, I'm pretty sure anywhere I travel, I have at least one sushi meal. Sapporo didn't disappoint on quality of fish. We had a really large group, maybe 15, so we took over the outside seating area. This was perfect since living in MN, outdoor dining only exists two months out of the year. Food was painfully slow, but I get it, large group. But then again, we had people missed on orders so a little unorganized and it's always unpleasant when someone in your group is left watching others eat while still waiting. My husband and I ordered the love boat, it was great value, the sashimi pieces were thick and buttery, so good. I was a bit disappointed by the dino egg, it was bland, needed soy sauce badly. The seaweed salad was good as expected though. If you're in the area, I definitely recommend a stop here. read more

I absolutely hate to leave bad reviews but I gave this place 2 chances and was disappointed both times. I find the sushi just okay, but understand that this is a Bradenton strip mall spot so that's what you can expect. Both times the chicken in my hibachi meal was inedible-lots of tough pieces. The soup and fried rice were bland and unflavorful, the vegatables containing mostly carrot and onion. The service was neither friendly or rude, just indifferent. read more

She's very picky and doesn't like spicy and they were able to swap out spicy krab w/ regular for her requested specialty roll which was nice of them. We've since gone back again. My favorite so far is the tuna dumpling appetizer. The picture doesn't do it any justice, it's much larger in person! Dine at the bar area and the chef will serve up something special while you're sitting there at no charge. Servers are friendly and helpful also. New sushi spot for us.
