The food here was so good I'm getting emotional thinking about it easily one of the best meals I've had in 2025. My server was very attentive and was refilling my tea without me needing to ask. For a late night sushi spot this place is very good. The service is on point and the vibe is very peaceful. The rolls are good size but not too big, which is good. I am not one to write bad reviews, but this was the worst sushi I have ever had. Let me explain. I ordered through Uber Eats for delivery. There was a buy one, get one free deal today. I chose spicy tuna and spicy salmon as part of my order. Delivery was great, but then I started eating. The rolls tasted awful and greasyand. The reason for that? They used tempura as a filling, with maybe 1 to 2 miniscule pieces of fish in each roll. All 4 rolls were filled with old tempura flakes and were so gross. Attaching some pictures so you can see. I'll start the review by saying this place is pretty overpriced for the portion sizes you get. Orders the Steak & Shrimp Habachi and received about 4oz of meat in total between the two. While there's a heaping amount of rice, this wasn't $21 worth of food. The salad and clear soup you get with your meal also is a paltry portion. For $21, you should expect more food. While we were there, one of the staff members was pouring the white sauce into small to-go containers out of a white painters bucket that looked incredibly dirty on the outside. She did this for about 15-20 minutes of the meal time and even left the containers unattended and open to the air for several minutes. Honestly? Will absolutely not return. I would give it no stars, if I could, but the server we had is the reason I gave it the extra star. She was super nice and was prompt with our drinks, though she did forget about the table stating one of the patrons had a severe onion allergy... so, I'll actually take that star back. 1/5 stars, would not recommend. read more

The comment made by the worker below is unaccommodating and rude and further serves my complaint about their complete lack of professionalism. I order from here frequently, spending anywhere from $14-$34 each time, despite sloppy rolls that fall apart when I order to go. I ordered last weekend got a ride to go pick up my food since i've just had surgery and can't drive myself. They ran my card 8 times and despite showing proof on my app, they refused to give me my money back. My ride had to leave so now I had to wait there for an hour and a half for the "boss" to come in and double check their printer. I ordered $22.26 in food and they charged me $66.78. They still refused to compensate me, and decided they would call the cops instead, who of course can't do anything because they're just there to diffuse the situation and ultimately ask me to leave a business whose management is rude and unprofessional. I was told I had to wait until the day after MLK day for them to be able to sort it out with their bank. The money has been returned to my card but I will never be going back. What a terrible experience and how unprofessional. Not one of them even apologized to me to their epic screw up. read more

Sushi Hana is a brand new sushi restaurant that opened next to the new Publix on the corner of Lockwood Ridge and State Road 70. It is a much awaited lunch option for me because it is so close to my workplace. Since the entire building is brand spankin' new, everything is pristine for now. Luckily, I was able to try it for the first time today. The lunch specials are great! You can get two sushi rolls from a large list with a side salad and miso soup for only $8.95. There is also a three roll option for a couple dollars more, bento boxes, and "hibachi" lunch specials. I did find that my sushi was packed with fillers, for example: Spicy Tuna Roll- the tuna was fluffy chopped and mixed with tempura bits to give it more oomph. Mexican Roll- was mostly rice, and only one sad shrimp stretched across the entire roll. However, they did hook it up with some spicy mayo on top, and I did not ask for that. Service was excellent because the head waitress there keeping the other waitress on track. Food arrived really fast, even the rolls. They also offered me a free side of spicy mayo, which is usually extra charge. I think it is because they just opened and are trying to drive more business. The staff speaks a dialect of Mandarin that I have never heard before. They might want to invest in a water purification system, because the miso soup flavor is about 50% miso and 50% Bradenton sulphur and chlorine tap water taste. There is also a large list of specialty rolls, but everything is their version of Japanese cuisine. There are only two interesting items that are not normally on this style of menu; Pineapple Fried Rice and Hamachi Kama (yellowtail collar). I hope to try both in the future. The prices are high, just like any other local sushi place. However, the lunch specials are cheaper. read more

We absolutely love Sushi Hana and been coming here since 2018. Love the freshness of the sashimi and variety of sushi rolls. The reason for the 4 stars is as follows. We discovered the avocado bomb last year. Spicy crabmeat wrapped in avocado and drizzled with eel sauce. We lived that too UNTIL last weekend. The avocado bomb was filled over 50% with crunchy filler. Hardly any spicy crabmeat at all inside. We were so disappointed. Not sure why they changed it but won't be ordering it again. We ordered through Uber Eats and got a total of 6 rolls (3 Florida, 2 Tuna, 1 Tuna Avacado). Unfortunately, the Uber Menu and the Menu on their very own website does not say the same thing...at least according to a manager there. We don't eat spicy mayo and when our 3 Florida Rolls were delivered, they were all sitting in a pool of spicy mayo. Problem is, nowhere on the Uber Menu or their own website does it say there is spicy mayo. When we called about it, the manager acted as if we are supposed to magically know the spicy mayo comes with it. To be honest the process was a complete mess that took over an hour to work out and will end up costing us about $20 more than we originally paid...depending on what Uber does. It's very disappointing that the managers don't realize their menus in the restaurants don't say the same things as they do online. I know that they may have some protocol to go through because of Uber Eats, but we didn't feel like the manager was very helpful with the process. I'll give the benefit of the doubt here I guess. Still...if your menus don't match...that's on them. Finally, over 2 hours after we ordered food...our correct order was delivered. The rolls are a bit smaller than what I'm used to, and the color of the fish, specifically tuna, is a little lighter than some of the better places I've eaten. But the food was really good. Maybe part of it was because we were both starving, but it was really good. Good enough that I would order from here again despite the headache. Very basic california rolls were poorly made consisting mainly of avocado. I imagine this is the quality you'd find at a Chinese buffet. While our waiter was very friendly, he never stopped by to check on us and the rest of the staff could improve on the customer service.
