This restaurant is located at a great location. It's just inside the City Wall and this street is Happening! They have outdoor seating, and is comfortable. The inside seating is somewhat cramped. But if you can look beyond your path to the cashier or bathroom, it is decorated very nicely. There is a steep staircase for workers I suppose, in the center of the restaurant. We had the cheese fondue that's two fried patties with a delicious cheese filling served with arugula and fruit compote. Very interesting mix and combination in your mouth. I had the rigatoni Bolognese. An appropriately sized bowl of macaroni. The sauce was outstanding. The macaroni tasted boxed, and that's okay, but please, cook it a little less bc it Needs to be al dente. The wine list was extensive representing Many global areas. I had a Sangiovese/Merlot blend that was a marvelous compliment to my dishes. My daughter had the pasta Arrabiata, and this contained feta although that's not traditional. She felt it calmed the heat of the chilis somewhat. My waiter was informed in gastronomic complexities and customer satisfaction. He gave me some time time to discuss Quebec customs even though he had to dash off to serve other tables. It was a pleasure dining here. read more

We had a beautiful lunch, and we had Cynthia as our wonderful waitress. Reasonably priced, great food, amazing scenery. Five stars!

I am not 100% sure how there are so many highly rated reviews for this place... when I would say it is a solid 3 /5. The pasta is not freshly made, was slightly over cooked, and lacked some salt. The pizza was just average- something to warm up with but not anything unique. However, the drinks were well made (old fashioned was great!) and the service was friendly. I would def. check out other places in town before coming to this restaurant. read more

What a beautiful restaurant! My fiancé and I decided to visit Quebec City for our anniversary and we loved it. We made reservations at Sapristi on Valentines/Anniversary Day and we haven't stopped raving about it! Sapristi is in an excellent location, with a menu hard to chose an item from (everything sounds delicious) and wonderful service. Vincent and his service partner that day were wonderful and helpful with all of our questions. We each had a glass of Zolo Cabernet and Cliff Cabernet. The wine selection is great at reasonable prices. Our starter left us mesmerized. We shared the fondue Parmesan with a jam and poached pear! OMG! My fiancé had the Parppadelle Strogonoff and I had the Arrabiata. Kudos to the chef in creating such flavorful hard to forget meals. To finish we shared sugared mini donuts with toffee sauce which were the perfect touch to an amazing experience! Thank you Sapristi for an amazing anniversary dinner! read more

Great cocktails, good service, and decent pasta. The pasta has fresh ingredients, but the pasta noodles were disappointing if you're looking for homemade pasta. We had the fried fondue which was very good and ordered several pastas, the Sapristi pasta was surprisingly disappointing and lacked flavor despite being the name sake. The pizza was fantastic - the four cheese with prosciutto, and I wish we had stuck to only pizza after seeing the others at nearby tables! I'm going to be generous and round up to 4 from a 3.5 review because they had the NFL network and a great bar - probably would be a strong 4 on pizza alone. read more

Sapristi delivers excellent food and a great experience. My husband and I went here for a nice casual Italian dinner, and we were not disappointed. Our favorites: fondue (not a pot of cheese - fondue served in a crispy shell) served with pear and a sweet tomato reduction, Mac and Cheese, and cafe creme brûlée. The beer and wine selection was also very good, with selections from all over the world. Our server Julien provided exquisite service - he was attentive and personable, and displayed a high degree of thoughtfulness throughout our meal. We'd go back again if we had more time in Quebec - I'm already dreaming about that fondue we just had! read more

My spouse and I went here and we had mediocre meals at best. We split a Greek Salad and I have eaten hundreds of Greek salads but this had a very different dressing. The salad was ok, just not what I would call a Greek Salad. Our pasta dishes were flavourless and lacking in sauce. The service was fine, part of the reason they got 2 stars. read more

We came here as a large group of two families. The service was friendly and prompt. The food was great! I had a greek salad, but the table ordered pizzas, pasta, and nachos. I probably would give this place 4a a half stars if I could overall I was very happy and would definitely go back there- four cheese pizza was amazing ; they had an appetizer with pear and fondue in the name which was absolutely deliciousI - I had the papardelle di mare which was fantastic.my daughter got the mac & cheese which was just average according to her and my other daughter got the beef tartare but did not care for it that much.The setting and ambience were great the service was very good and the cocktails were excellent read more

After a fantastic meal the previous evening also in old Quebec our expectations of Sapristi were high. It disappointed. One of our cheese pizzas came out with onions which were not ordered. The beef in the beef stroganoff was tough and chewy and the sauce had an unpleasant flavor that I've never tasted in a stroganoff. Service was slow. Not returning. read more

The quality of dishes was good. But the server's attitude towards my family was very unpleasant in general. She forgot to give us the juice that was included in the kids' menu, and when I told her she just shrugged off. She never came to ask if everything is going okay. We were just ordinary customers and the kids were not making any fuss. I really didn't feel like giving her tip at all, but because I didn't want to leave bad impression on Asians, I forced myself to tap on the yes button for the tip. I won't let this ruin my family trip but I think she should know how smiles can make everyone's life better. read more

Our family was in QC for close to a week, and the meal we had here was a highlight of our trip. Also, their draft beers are incredible.

We had such a terrible experience here. Our waitress who also claimed to be the manager was extremely unhelpful, unaccommodating and flat out rude. She could not accommodate simple adjustments to our orders. She had the nerve to tell us to not let our children "bother other customers" when our neighboring table was playing with our 2 year old. She forgot a dish in our order and brought out the children's meals so early that they were finished eating before we even got our meals! Furthermore, she blamed us for the timing ordeal, stating that we ordered at different times. When we went to cancel our meal because we had been waiting much too long and our young children were done eating and we would not be able to entertain them long enough to eat, she did put our meals in takeaway containers and did not charge me for my meal. When I looked at my meal once we left, it was completely the wrong order. I actually was not far and so brought it back and the first thing that she said to me was that I didn't even pay for it anyway! I will most definitely not be returning to this spot and do not recommend it at all. What a waste of my time and money! Terrible customer service! read more

After reading all of the good reviews on Yelp, and upon the recommendation of a local, we decided to try Sapristi. We found it to be only mediocre, however, the service is very good, and the sangrias were excellent: we tried both the red (made with cassis juice and liqueur from Isle d'Orleans) and the white (with lychee liqueur). We asked our waitress if the bartender could use club soda instead of 7-Up, and they were great. We had the stroganoff pappardelle, and while the sauce and meat were tasty, the pasta was boiled way beyond what anybody would consider "al dente." At such a highly rated restaurant, we didn't even think that we would have to ask for this. read more

Very nice service, and interesting dishes on the menu. The food was hot and attractive, but not too subtle. It looks like a good choice for a drink and a quick meal after work, also for tourists in this busy area. It's good to have some choices about where to sit as there is a lot going on here. read more
