Been driving by for months and kept saying to my gf that we should try the place. Today was the day. There were quite a bit of customers there, which was a good indication. We ordered the chicken and lamb gyros, french fries, and chicken wings with the sauces on the side. They were all excellent! These are my new favorite fries. They gyros had some spice to them. My sister and I stopped by Wednesday night for a quick dinner on our way home from school. It was around 8:30 and we were the only ones there (not including the three guys who were just hanging around after eating). When you go to Halal Guys or Gyro King, the food is prepared in front of you and takes less than five minutes. Here, they make it in the kitchen and bring it out to you. Although we were the only ones there, it took almost half an hour to receive our food here. My sister got the Lamb over Rice was was around $7-$8 bucks, much less than our usual Gyro King purchase. I got the Chicken Gyro which was $6.99. After half an hour, the guy brings it out while talking on the phone and didn't make eye contact with us and just left it on the counter. If we weren't the only ones there, I would've been confused on whether the order is ours. BUT despite that weird experience, the food was really good. The first thing we noticed was that Sara's gives you 2-3 times more meat than Halal Guys or Gyro King. The lamb and the chicken were both moist and flavorful, much better than other places. You basically get a lot more food for less money. Would come back again and will order ahead next time. Thumbs up for good Halal food! My one complaint is that my Gyro was impossible to eat. Fell apart everywhere and couldn't close at all, mostly because of how much meat was in it. I suggest putting a toothpick or something through it to hold it together. read more

I have eaten quite a few times here. I usually get the Mushroom & Swiss Burger, which is really good! I would just prefer if the meat patty was a bit more salty but I still really like it. I've also tried the fries, they're not great but they're okay-ish. I've gotten their chicken fry buckets a few times, and the chicken is good, it's like typical chicken fry so nothing insightful to say there. I've also gotten their coleslaw twice, the first time I ate it with the mushrooms & swiss burger and I really liked it but the second time when I tried it on its own it was too heavy for me. The coleslaw is definitely not the best that I have eaten but it's also not the worst. I recently also tried their Lamb Over Rice after seeing its hype on Yelp, but unfortunately it was a bit salty for me. The saltines might be a one-off thing & since I enjoyed eating it and the flavor a lot; I will definitely try it again especially to see if it's always this salty or not. Once my grandmother got one of their chicken sandwiches, unfortunately I don't remember how it tested which leads me to believe it wasn't great or really bad cuz otherwise I'd have remembered. The ambience there is just ok nothing fancy but I don't really have anything against it since I don't go there for the ambience. The service is nice too, I never had any problem with it. However, I do think the food there is a bit expensive but then again everything is halal so I try to understand. Overall, I will order from there again. Bad customer service and mediocre food. We ordered via GrubHub and we totally regret wasting money on it. We ordered 2 piece chicken a double cheeseburger with large order of fries and a mixed over rice. They say it would take 45 to 55 mins on average. It took an hour and a half to get the food ready for delivery. I call about an hour in to see what was going on and I got a male on the phone with bad English tell me the order is ready and it'd be a half hour. So basically the food was sitting there and they were waiting on a driver to deliver the food. Not a good sign. It took 2 hours from the time we ordered to the time they got to our door. Sure enough the food was cold...the fries were ice cold and so soggy the bag was soggy and disintegrated. The burger was soggy and ice cold. We had to heat it up. Totally unacceptable. Even if it was fresh it wouldn't have been all that great. The mixed over rice was so basic. The gyro meat had that "frozen and bought from World Foods" taste. Same with the burger. We are never ordering from them again. We could've been the type to call the restaurant up and ream them for their service but it wouldn't solve anything and we don't even want a complementary meal because it wasn't good! Inferior food. However, the last time I was here the young man taking the orders in the front asked me a rather peculiar question after I had placed my order. I'd like to think that I know what a burger consists of in the commonly used American vernacular and I believe that it was insulting of him to assume that I don't. I gave him the benefit of the doubt while I was there and didn't presume to know his reasoning for the poorly phrased question. Still, it did bother me somewhat and left me wondering whether my physical characteristics were the cause for his statement/question. Thier regular tandoori naan is perfect to scoop up the greasy goodness and the garlic naan adds even more fragrance to the whole meal. I can see a potential problem in seating if you went with a big group especially if there are other customers seated. Saw this little place while driving by one afternoon and with the positive Yelp reviews, we decided to stop. It is not much to look at, nestled next to a gas station, but the food did not disappoint. My companion had the gyro mix over rice and it was similarly delicious and more than she could finish. The counter service was great and our food came out promptly.
