I observed several groups of students going through their group as well as individual skills test. It took well over two hours to complete but even the very young students were well behaved and as attentive as they could, given their age. I was very impressed with how patient and compassionate the instructor was during testing, encouraging those that hesitated when they got stuck in the middle of their complicated routine with a gentle reminder of the next step. I was also impressed that instructions were given in Mandarin as well as in English which helps reinforce my grandson's language skills being half Chinese and being in a Chinese immersion class in elementary school. Not only are the students learning kung fu skills but also; discipline, memory skills, gross motor skills, eye-hand coordination, and learning to listen & follow directions, which enables children to develop fully.
