Dream dress shopping experience! Great consultant coupled with wonderful dresses and killer ambiance! Was so happy from start to finish! Sandra was the dress I didn't know I needed and will forever be pleased with my wedding dress decision!

When I got engaged back in September I starting looking for dresses on social media that I liked and it felt like every time I clicked on a photo, it ended up being a Sarah Seven dress! I knew I HAD to make an appt to try on her dresses. Sarah Seven was the first bridal shop I went to and the only place I really needed to go. From the moment I booked my first appt, the whole process was a piece of cake. They called me in advance to go over my style, size, budget and how the whole process works so I was well prepared. I also loved this because I was bringing my mom, sister and soon to be mother in law to join me and was feeling super anxious about the process, but this totally eased my mind! Kelsi, the store manager, greeted us at the door and I immediately felt at ease. She welcomed us in, told us all about Sarah Seven and did such an amazing job at hyping me up. I had a general idea of what I wanted, but Kelsi was so awesome and surprised me with a few dresses that I ended up loving that I would have never tried on in the first place! I ended up leaving my first visit pretty torn between 2 dresses, but booked my 2nd appt a few weeks later. On that 2nd visit it was just Kelsi and I and it honestly felt like I was just meeting up with an old friend! I felt so comfortable and that I could truly be myself the whole time. Kelsi helped me through the process and asked me questions that ultimately led me to picking out a dress that I am obsessed with!!! I truly cannot say enough kind things about Sarah Seven, their entire team and ESPECIALLY, Kelsi. Thank you SO much from the bottom of my heart. You all made this such a fun, enjoyable and special process for me and I cannot wait to wear my dress next year!!! If you are on the fence of going to Sarah Seven, or if you're debating on going to a boutique instead....JUST DO IT! I did both, and honestly I didn't need to! You won't regret it!!! :)

I had an amazing experience today at Sarah Seven! Allie was my stylist, and she really listened to my wants in a wedding gown and curated dresses that fit both my aesthetic and my price range. She also made me and my group feel super comfortable in the shop, which is beyond adorable, by the way! I ended up purchasing my dream dress, and got the cutest swag bag to celebrate. I'm happy to officially be a Sarah Seven girly!

Kaitlyn, the Head of Brand reached out to empathize with me & apologize for my experience. I know we are all human and things happen, and I so appreciate the measure of attention and care that went into rectifying this matter. There were so many themes that were playing out at my visit, so I was awestruck to have been seen & heard on so many levels. Kaitlyn showed so much heart, poise & elegance - qualities that I felt like the SS brand has always embodied. Thank you to Sarah Seven, Kaitlyn and the core team for being such great advocates to all brides & their most special moments.

On principal I never write bad reviews. However, I don't want anyone to have the same experience I did, considering what a huge and meaningful purchase this is. First: they are very pushy and try to get you in and out (w/ a purchase) as fast as possible. They don't let you touch the dresses or try on more than a couple, plus you have to pay to make an appt. This all kind of rubbed me the wrong way, but I quickly put that aside because I DID find a dress that I absolutely loved! It was stunning and every detail about it was just what I wanted. When the dress arrived, the design was completely different from the dress I tried on in the SS store. The entire bodice was different, the neckline was different (straight and square, not a deep scoop), the boning was in a totally different place (on either side of my belly button, rather than along my ribs where normal boning would be) and it showed through the material, the material was completely see-through, the fit and type of skirt was completely different (more A-line rather than fitted/flared) and the beautiful draped cowl neck (the main detail of the dress) was one small, tight strip of fabric that looked like a weird afterthought. It looked like I had gotten a cheap knock-off of a designer dress. This dress was $4,000. The issue was not sizing, I was assured prior to ordering that the proportions and structure/design of the dress *do not change* when you order a smaller size than the sample (I was told this was something "unique" about Sarah Seven). I made sure to SPECIFICALLY ASK about it because I loved every detail of the dress I tried on so much, I wanted to make sure I knew what to expect. They basically just told me anything to get me to lay down my credit card. I was devastated. It was a huge sacrifice to spend this amount of money, but I loved the sample dress so much that I took the leap to get it. I expressed my frustration/confusion and they seemed understanding at first and expressed their commitment to making sure I was thrilled with my purchase. They offered to have me back into the shop to try it on with their associates and figure out a solution. I was grateful--this felt promising! When I went to this appointment, I was so disappointed to learn that the "solution" they had was **for me to pay $995** to have them fix the dress. And the "fixes" they were proposing were just regular alterations (straps, hem, etc), not even addressing the real issues with the dress. This is not a matter of me changing my mind, this is a matter of being sold something completely different than what I got. It was a bait and switch. I was being more than reasonable; I wasn't demanding a refund or a totally new dress, I asked them to change just ONE of the things that wasn't right (the cowl). I was willing to overlook the other things that were completely off if they just changed the cowl to represent the dress I tried on and paid for. It's the defining feature of the dress. It took over 10 emails (and multiple attempts by them to ghost me) to get them to finally agree to replace the cowl to represent the original dress. The new cowl looked better than the old one, but it was still not the same. And I had gone through such terrible customer service (and again, *multiple attempts to ignore me altogether* which felt very shitty) to even convince them to fix it. Beware the girlboss energy of this brand. There's a big "yas queen!" vibe that, in the end, amounts to nothing. They told me they wanted me to be totally satisfied and thrilled with my purchase, but when I (respectfully and professionally) continued to express my legitimate concerns (with photo evidence), I was instead ignored or told the dress was perfect. Their customer service amounts to nothing more than catchy, girlbossy slogans and empty platitudes. As a bride, you are nothing more than a sale to them; they do not care about you or your experience. I don't blame the store associates for this; this is clearly an upper management issue and the weird energy/bad ethics trickle all the way down. Sarah Seven completely ruined my wedding dress experience and I'm just incredibly sad. I will never get that back. My wedding was perfect; the only regret I have about any of it is that I bought (and had to wear) a Sarah Seven gown. I did not feel beautiful on my wedding day; I couldn't wait to take the SS gown off and change into my reception dress (a Teuta Matoshi, by the way--beautifully made to perfection. Highly recommend!).  There are so many amazing bridal designers out there, save yourself the heartbreak & frustration of dealing with Sarah Seven. **Another note: I suggest you also read the Glassdoor reviews about this company before purchasing. I wish I had done so beforehand, it explains a lot.

They used to have separate stores for men and women, not sure if that's still a thing but it made it easier to browse depending on your style preferences. Most recently, I received an Officine Générale turtleneck that had been described as being in "Very Good" condition. It arrived with significant pilling, appeared dirty, and smelled strongly of cheap women's perfume. It was not remotely consistent with the condition advertised. What happened next was even more troubling. I contacted Customer Service expecting a straightforward acknowledgment and resolution. Instead, I received responses that repeatedly failed to address the actual issue being raised. The conversation devolved into a discussion about whether I would accept compensation based on the purchase price of the item, despite my making it abundantly clear that I had no interest in keeping it at any price. The concern was misrepresentation and quality control. I cannot recall another customer service interaction that felt this tone deaf. As someone who has worked with major organizations, including Apple and Spectrum, on matters involving customer experience and communication, I can honestly say I will use this exchange as an example of exactly what not to do. Customers understand that mistakes happen. What they do not forget is being ignored when they clearly articulate a legitimate concern. My concerns extend beyond this single transaction. As a consignor, I have increasingly questioned whether the standards applied to sellers are consistent or fair. A pair of Tod's loafers yielded a net payout to me of just $9.72. A brand-new pair of Theory shoes, still in the box with tags and obviously never worn, was graded only as "Good" condition and generated a payout of $7.00. The RealReal positions itself as a luxury marketplace. Luxury is not just a logo or a price point. It is attention to detail, thoughtful service, accurate representation, and respect for both buyers and consignors. Unfortunately, this experience failed on every one of those measures. Mistakes happen. Indifference should not.

Does Flirt Clothing live up to its name?…read more If you're expecting an inanimate building to ask your name and number, then no. And if you're expecting the employees to ask you "come here often?" before motioning the barkeep to bring you another of whatever you're having, then still, NO. Or maybe yes. Just not with me. Pffft. The clothes are definitely fun and flirty, though -- if you wear them. Flirt is the typical Melrose kitsch store -- one-offs and private labels abound. Not too many jean choices (mostly charcoal gray), and not that many T-shirts, but the ones they have will have you going gaga, lady. What's a boy like me doing reviewing an exclusively girl's store? Well, I have no intention of wearing that off-the-shoulder blouse or sundress (hmm... with the right belt and handbag, I -- nevermind), but the store is definitely a pleasant place, even if you're just waiting on girls to finish trying things on. You can stand there awkwardly listening to the early 1990s era boombox that's pumping out KISS FM all day (Lil Wayne seems determined to make me his fan), or check yourself out in the mirrors on the wall. "Oh you are quite the looker, aren't you..." Anyway, speaking of incredible, psychologically unhealthy narcissism (or not, whatever), the pink-curtained dressing rooms have matching pink folding chairs -- everything in the store has either touches or tons of pink, which sounds like a Hello Kitty nightmare but is actually kind of cute in a flamingo-pecked-my-eyes-out way. When you try things on, it's with a soft background of Pepto Bismo, but it does make that hotgasmic pair of koolats stand out in palatial, plaid glory. Sweet Heavens, but you're beautiful. Now close your curtain -- that weird tattoo guy with his tattooier girlfriend can see your thong. Hey, the stuff you're trying on is on sale, too! At least a fourth of the store is half off, so you'll have more money left over to blow on things like shoes, handbags, and rent. Service is fast, friendly, and helpful -- they'll make useful suggestions that aren't lame attempts at plus-selling. Flirt Clothing does lose one star because they forgot to remove a security tag on a $240 hobo bag. Now I'm going to have to come back tomorrow -- with receipt -- to have them remove it because SOMEBODY'S too busy (*cough* gainfully employed) to do so herself. I'm going to play like it's mine. It looks cuter on me anyway :-)

I bought a beautiful purple scarf with brown leopard spots on it the other day. The material was like that of a soft sweater. It was only $19.00. I could've gotten a better deal on it if I bargained with the lady there, but I didn't since the price was already low. Also, she was nice and showed me how to tie it since I wasn't sure how to wear it. I always leave scarves untied up until now. She showed me and it was easier than it I thought it would be. I really appreciated that. Also, it was great that she could actually break a $100.00 bill. Some places can't. If you're not familair with the area, you might not know that due to lots of competition, sometimes the shop owner or manager will give you a discount on clothes and other items if you ask them for one. Sometimes they are so eager to sell, they just offer you a good deal. I didn't want to appear cheap though, so I didn't bother asking. It was also nice that she didn't bug me or follow me around like a lot of the shop employees tend to do sometimes. This is a great place and I'll come back here next time I'm in LA.
