I called Sarah's out to the house to fix my oven which hasn't been working properly for several years. It turns out the igniter was bad and needed to be replaced. When I called to make the appointment I was clearly told what the service call fee would be and that any additional repairs or services would cost extra. My repair ended up costing about what I thought it would and included the service fee so the service fee was incorporated into the price, not a separate charge above and beyond. I got a reminder email which was really helpful and I was able to request that their technician wear a mask in my home. There were no complaints or problems with it at all. In fact, Parker, the technician was on time, personable, knowledgeable, and really willing to explain what was going on with the oven, in detail. He also gave me a call before coming over just to make sure that I was home and it was a good time. If you need any kind of appliance repair, I highly recommend calling Sarah's. I feel that they are fair, knowledgeable, and very professional. You will know exactly what you're in for before you are charged anything. Our 4 year old LG refrigerator was not cooling properly. I had called a different repair company and they did not tell me that the parts that needed replacing were under warranty-they were going to charge for parts and labor. I called Sarah's for a second opinion and the tech that came out was so knowledgeable. He found the problem, checked availability of parts, verified it was under warranty and they will take care of contacting LG and handling the repairs. I am so happy to find a company like that. Some parts have to be ordered so I will be reviewing again once the work has been done but so far I am thrilled and would recommend them to anyone. The repairman was super nice, knowledgeable and didn't talk down to me because I was a woman. I know enough about refrigerators to know that I probably needed some major parts replaced and I knew I wouldn't be able to do it myself, and the repairman was able to quickly confirm my suspicions. I contacted Sarah's Appliance Repair based on the rating here at Yelp. I had a 20 year old Subzero Refrigerator that has not been cooling as well as it should. It took a week for a technician to come out. He spent 30 minutes looking at the unit and came up with an estimate of $2800 to do the repair telling us the whole cooling unit would need to be rebuilt. The charged $150 for the visit and diagnosis. In talking with a friend they had a similar experience getting a high price ($1000) to fix an exhaust hood. They ended up calling Dalton and they came out and replace a switch fixing the unit for $200. We called Dalton and when they arrived, within minutes determined what was wrong, gave us a clear explanation and prepared to fix the unit for $1300 and didn't charge us a thing. I looked up both companies and decided to go with Sarah's based on their hours (they were open until 7 PM) and because of their reviews. Not only was I able to call the day my washing machine failed, but I was able to get a repair appointment the following day! I had a leak in my washer so I called Sarah's. A nice service guy came out and said that it probably needed new parts which he replaced them for a total of $500 plus price. Two days later when I tried to wash clothes , water was pouring out of the top of the washer. I asked for them to come out and check it out, they refused and said that for another $131 they could fix it. I do not see how they could tell what was wrong with my washer over the phone. i would not recommend Sarah's Appliances to any one. I should have bought a new washer instead. read more

After his second visit, he tried to convince me that the dryer was working. It was not. When I asked them to come a 3rd time, they told me I would be charged again for a service call and of possible further charges if something else needed to be repaired. Do not trust this company. My Maytag dryer (about 10 years old) was shrieking and squealing when it started up. I ordered the parts that I knew I needed from a local appliance parts dealer and called Sarah's to install them. Three days later Matthew from Sarah's came (on time), disassembled the dryer, installed the parts, cleaned the entire dryer inaccessible areas of any dust and lint with the vacuum, and finished reassembling the unit, all within an hour. The price charged was very reasonable and Matthew was masked, extremely pleasant, knowledgeable and thorough. My washing machine was squeaking loudly and Daniel came out to assess the issue. He was patient, waiting for the machine to duplicate the sound for him. The squeak eventually returned and the issue was identified. I was told the price for new parts and Daniel walked me through the pros and cons of fixing the machine vs taking a wait-and-see approach since the perpetrator of the noise was not damaging the washing machine. We contacted Sarah's because our 11 or 12 year old Bosch dishwasher wasn't draining. Parker showed up within the scheduled time and called me 5 minutes prior so I could put my dogs up, just as I'd asked. He thought he fixed it on the first visit, but the next day it didn't drain again. Their service call fee is good for 30 days so the next visit was covered. He ordered 2 parts which took about 7 business days to come in. Once they were in the dishwasher, it ran like new. So Parker came to our house 3 times and we only paid for one service call. We got excellent service from a young man that was professional, friendly and quite happy to explain what was going on. The office staff I dealt with were just as excellent. I will continue to use Sarah's and recommend them in future. I have never had a better, more cost effective and great experience with an appliance repair company. After a throughput diagnosis and verification of parts, in depth explanation, I wanted him to fix my fridge. do not thing this refrigerator has worked this well, even when it was new. Our refrigerator was shorting and kicking the breaker off repeatedly. While a leading repair service couldn't schedule service for two to three weeks, Sarah's had a technician here the next day. He worked on with Bosch technical people on his cell phone testing all components. Christine was very helpful via phone calls and texts to schedule things and keep us informed. I scheduled a repair with this company. I told them I would be home between 215 and 230. I was contacted at 230 that tech was on his way. I called back that I wasn't home until after 2. I advised this when I made the appointment. He did not wait. They wanted to make an appt tomorrow between 8 and 1. Again I don't get off work in tge am until 8 and have to leave by one. I was told to leave work early. I'm a crossing guard and can't do that. Nor can I leave late. It was like I was an inconvenience to them. Never again! read more

The tech was thorough. Took apart our whole dryer & laid the parts out on a blanket that protected our tile floor. Fixed the issue & also cleaned the entire unit inside (& boy did it need it - apparently getting to point of fire danger). Cleaned whole area before he left & wore shoe coverings from start. Our oven light would not turn off and was producing a hot, electrical smell. We unplugged the oven and called Sarah's. I called Monday morning and got a Thursday morning appointment. I would have preferred sooner but it also wasn't urgent. Wednesday I received a reminder email with a picture of the technician, Tyler. I thought this was a great idea! Thursday our appointment was between 8 and 10. Tyler arrived at 8:15. He introduced himself and was very professional. He diagnosed the problem within 15 minutes. Unfortunately the replacement switch was a part that had to be ordered. But he assured me that the office would call later that day with an ETA and to set up a follow up appointment. They did, as promised. Tyler arrived on time again and had the oven up and running in less than 10 minutes. I was incredibly impressed with his knowledge and professionalism. Her pricing was competitive, but when I saw how much she did for us (without asking for more and looking for "upsells") , I was quite impressed.
