    dinner for 4
    Dan R.

"I was the pirate and she was the queen Sir Francis and Elizabeth the best there's ever been" (Jimmy Buffet) Four of us had an excellent dining experience at the Bloomfield Elizabeth's last night. It was my first time here, but I'd been to the Rocky Hill Elizabeth's a dozen times. And the food was as fantastic here as it was in Rocky Hill. Part of last night's charm was our server, a young lady named Aline. Not only was it her first day on the job, but our table was the very first table she ever waited on! Aline was so sweet and charming and tried so hard to please us. She's going to be great with a little seasoning. A round of beverages ran us $6 for a Modelo beer, $7 for a house white Zin, $9 for a Malbec, and $2.95 for a coffee. The house salads were excellent as were the complimentary basket of dinner rolls and butter. We all ordered something for dinner - $19.95 for Eggplant Parm, $24.95 for Cioppino, $26.95 for a Ribeye, and $21.95 for Chicken Francaise. The Cioppino was mine and it was fantastic! A big portion of clams, mussels, scallops, calimari, and shrimp over angel hair pasta. It seemed more like three servings than one. My buddy ordered the steak and he is very particular about his steak. He asked for it to be "rare, rare, rare" and it came out exactly to his liking. All four of us asked for to go containers to bring home our extra food. Our grand total was $127 after tax and before tip. I thought it was a pretty reasonable cost and good value for four dinners, four salads, 2 wines, a beer and a coffee. Aline's smile and enthusiasm were a value added bonus.

I was welcomed with great hospitality and great service, I had the treat of a good steak, broccoli and potato and had the privilege of having Cyvonne as a great server and waitress. Long as she works there and the rest of the great staff; I will be back for more dinners

The most consistently good restaurant in Bloomfield. There has not been a time when the service wasn't friendly, the cocktails expertly prepared and served, or the food anything less than great. My wife and I try to go here at least once a month. Whenever we begin the sometimes endless discussion of where to go out, Elizabeth's is either the answer, or figures prominently. There has not been anything we haven't enjoyed, but some of the highlights were their take on Fried Calamari, Chicken Marsala, Chicken Picatta, Paella, and Portuguese Steak (served with fried eggs on top) If you're coming Friday or Saturday evening, make reservations!

It was five of us, we went to Elizabeth's in Bloomfield to celebrate a birthday. I have never been here before, a friend suggested we go here. We quickly got seated, but weren't given any menus. Then the waitress came over with the water pitcher. She said it was strange that the host hadn't provided us with the menus. I got a mojito, a New England Clam Chowder and a Greek Salad. Others in my party got; the Ribeye, Nachos, Bruschetta, The House Paella, Clams Casino, and the sautéed calamari. We overdid it with the food for sure. My mojito was very tasty, it was the perfect blend of rum, mint leaves and lime. My clam chowder was also very tasty, it was creamy and flavorful, and the best one I've had recently. My Greek salad was massive. The roasted peppers on it were my favorite part, everything in the salad was very fresh and tasty! I had to take this salad home, it was far too much for me. The bruschetta was also very tasty. It was like a miniature pizza, with a ton of fresh tomatoes and fresh melted mozzarella on top. We all enjoyed our meals, and we shared from each other. We each brought a box home, due to the very large servings. We concluded the evening at Elizabeth's with a slice of very delicious tiramisu for the birthday boy! Ohmygoodness.. was this delicious! It was so melty, fresh, chocolatey and a bit of coffee. Incredible! The only small criticism I have is with the waitress. She wasn't very friendly, and she seemed annoyed. She did however bring out everything we requested. I would stop by Elizabeth's again, but keep in mind the portions are very large.

I had to write another review for Sarah's. I was in there this past Saturday for lunch. We ordered pizza again. It was our second time ordering pizza because the first one was so good. They say it's never as good as the first time. Incorrect! That pizza was wonderful! Sarah's is not a pizza joint, but they can beat any pizza in Bloomfield. Try a pizza the next time you visit. You will be pleasantly surprised.

Elizabeth's is a fabulous place to have dinner and get together with family and friends We had a get together there and they were so accommodating including addressing dietary restrictions. The waitress was the best !! everyone loved their entrees including our appetizers. The portions are generous and prices very reasonable We are agreed to come back soon.

We decided to drop in after the yard goats. This is a great place for a nice romantic after event drink, dinner and dessert! There is a big party in their back room but we do not hear anything from it. The wait staff and bartenders are always ready to help. I am looking forward to my Mudslide and toaster almond cake..

This is my second visit to Elizabeth's since Feb. 2020. I met a friend here to catch up and chat. We arrived about 5:30pm. By 6:00pm, most tables were filled with a nice mix of people from casual to professional. It has a nice vibe for an after work meet up. There are multiple dining areas with a nice ambiance and background music. I ordered a Cucumber Lime Martini, and then another. They were very good. My server did forget about the 2nd drink request but I was busy chatting, so it was okay. We only ordered appetizers: Chicken Quesadillas and Crema Chipotle Premium Wings. Both were good. I plan to stop back in for dinner and possibly on a night when they have a DJ again.

Amazing ! Good Food and excellent service! Very nice place! I like the atmosphere Good Restaurant for Family and Friends to go to!

The food here is always great but the drinks are better The vibe is cool however because business is slow your waitress might take a minute to come back around. Due to only 2 of them working at a time

I started with a cocktail topped with a mini charcuterie board, which was a fun touch. We ordered the tuna tartare to start. The portion was generous and the tuna tasted very fresh, especially with the mashed avocado on top. For my entree, I had the frutti di mare. The flavors were great, but I wish the sauce were a bit thicker since it settled at the bottom and left the noodles a little bare. Service was excellent and we never felt rushed. My fiancé ordered the espresso martini with cold foam to finish. I am not usually a fan of espresso martinis, but this one was impressive. The cold foam and chocolate-covered espresso beans stood out. Looking forward to coming back in the summer to try the patio.

My husband and I went to celebrate our wedding anniversary, so we were excited to try it after reading so many good reviews. For appetizers, the fried zucchini blossoms were absolutely delicious, they practically melted in your mouth. My husband ordered the calamari and said it was perfectly cooked and tasted great. The in-house bread was also soft and served hot. I ordered a Tiramisu Martini and wow... it was the BEST! The flavor was different from a regular espresso martini and definitely worth trying. For our main course we ordered the mushroom mafaldine, which unfortunately lacked seasoning and creaminess. It was a bit dry, so we had to ask the waiter for some Italian seasoning and cheese. Service was amazing food arrived quickly.

Well, that's the checklist for the standout lunch experience we had at Portobello yesterday. The European street scene dining room is very pretty, with two huge Italian landscape paintings on the brick walls, lantern lights, a wide plank hardwood floor, dark furniture and white tablecloths. Molto elegante! So, our experience was positive from the minute we sat down but got even better when Dee made her appearance. She may have been my favorite server of 2026! What a joy she was, with her sunny disposition, whip smart sense of humor, and plain overall charm. We dove into the lunch menu and saw they had a ton of options within their Appetizer, Soup, Salad, Entrée. Burger, Pasta, and Sandwich/Wrap groupings. We went for two sandwiches - Eggplant with fries ($19) and Balsamic Marinated Portobello Mushroom Panini ($16.00) with fresh mozzarella, oven-fried tomatoes, arugula, roasted pepper aioli and a side salad. The Mushroom Panini was mine and it was fantastic; I loved every bite of it. I love mushrooms and that big Portobello, tomato, aioli combination was delicious. Toward the end of the meal, none other than owner Seyo Cecunjanin came over to thank us for our patronage and asked how we liked the meal. When we told him we loved it and we were first timers, he thanked us again in the form of a complimentary slice of their Pistachio cake! Portobello has a Happy Hour (how does a Chocolate Covered Strawberry Martini sound?), and that makes Portobello even more of a sweet destination to seek out and support. We started with the shrimp alla vodka pasta, which was genuinely good and a dish I'd order again. We also shared an apple arugula salad that was fresh and well balanced, along with a side of fries that were just okay -- nothing special, but they did the job. The evening didn't start off smoothly, though. The restaurant was busy, and the wait to be seated took a while. Once we were seated, the service was okay at best -- attentive enough to get our order right, but not particularly warm or fast. That became more of an issue when our prosecco arrived flat. We had to work to get our waiter's attention to have it replaced, and it took much longer than it should have for someone to notice and follow up. We also tried a lavender vodka drink, which ended up being a bit of a letdown. It was expensive for what amounted to a small pour, and honestly the best part of it was the fancy glass it came in -- the drink itself didn't quite justify the price. Overall, the food carried the night. The pasta and salad were highlights, and I'd come back for those alone. But the service hiccups and pricey, underwhelming cocktails took some shine off the experience. If you go, stick to the pasta and maybe skip the specialty drinks.

Nothing like them around here. Delicious !
