The pasta was very good. You can tell it's made fresh. The sangria was perfectly sweet. Service was okay. Our server didn't come to ask if we needed anything, so we kept having to ask other workers when they came near our table. The restaurant had a lively atmosphere inside, a very classic Italian restaurant.

Treva will always have a special place in my heart. It is one of the spots that really helped turn me into a foodie from an early age. It's been among my favorite restaurants both within the stacked West Hartford dining scene, and in general, for about 15 years at this point. I don't get there as much as I'd like to anymore, but recently I was able to stop back in for dinner. It was every bit as fabulous as usual. I started off with a cocktail. I went with the Don, which is apple and vanilla bean infused bourbon with amaretto. I love a good bourbon cocktail an it definitely hit the spot. Next I tried the pulpo, which was served with rosemary potatos, puttanesca and basil oil. The octopus had a nice grill/char to it but was super tender. Very well cooked which is obviously crucial with octopus. Loved the accompaniments as d the way everything played together. I opted for the tonnarelli cacio e Pepe after lots of deliberation over which pasta to have. All of their pasta is homemade, and over the years I've had many of them. Definitely their signature as far as I'm concerned. This dish was no different. Classic preparation with flawless execution. Great emulsification and consistency, right amount of pepper. I was seated at one of the high top booths in the bar which I actually love. The whole restaurant is warm and comfortable, but there's something about the narrower booths along the wall that feels a bit more comfortable and contained as a solo diner, for me. Perfect for relaxing. It is clear why Treva is still a star of the West Hartford dining scene after many years. It's a must try if you haven't. You can't go wrong with any restaurant within the Doro restaurant group either.

I finally made my way to Treva after hearing fabulous things ! So I was super excited to try it ! We made a reservation for 5pm on Saturday and it was pretty empty when we arrived , however by 6pm the place was packed so highly recommended a reservation during peak hours . We sat inside however they have a nice patio area as well for nice summer nights . Located in the center of west Hartford it's the perfect place to grab a dinner with friends or daily ! I started my drink with the red sangria ( my go do drink ) and it was very good I enjoyed the sweet fruitful drink ! The house bread served with oil was crispy on the outside and nice and soft on the inside ( which as you may know is my favourite type ) ! We started with the calamari, which was amazing and probably the best calamari I personally ever had ! I prefer it lightly fired and not too crispy , perfectly cooked ! For my entree I got the gnocchi with broccoli , spinach and sausage , which I would give 4/5 the gnocchi was really good and cooked perfectly and the sausage was tasty ! However I wasn't expecting the dish to be green , I think it was overpowered by the broccoli flavour ! My husband got the rigatoni. I personally liked the flavour however I felt it had a little bite to the pasta ( slightly under for my taste ) however the flavours were all there , and my husband ate the whole plate .. so 4/5 again We also tasted the ravioli of the day which again I felt it was cooked under ( even more than the rigatoni ) , but flavours were fabulous! 3.5/5 I also tried The scallops which were good .. but again just slightly under ( good sear on both sides and good flavour otherwise ) 4/5 Overall good flavours and great food options just did not meet my expectations.

"One cannot think well, love well, sleep well, if one has not dined well." - Virginia Woolf Dinner at Treva was everything that quote promised and more. I had the ribeye--perfectly cooked, tender, and bursting with flavor--while my son enjoyed the rigatoni with sausage bolognese, which was rich, hearty, and simply spectacular. We sat outside on a beautiful evening, the kind of night where everything just felt right. The weather was perfect, our Maltipoo Grizzly Bear was happily people- and pup-watching, and we enjoyed an atmosphere that felt lively yet comfortable. The service was just as memorable as the food. The staff was attentive without being overbearing--so much so that even when we didn't flag something we needed, both the staff and manager noticed and came right over to take care of it. That level of care made the evening feel extra special. Treva delivers the full package--outstanding food, genuine hospitality, and the perfect setting to make an ordinary night feel unforgettable.

Treva is worth the hype and the wait! You'll want to make a reservation, especially if you plan to come here over the weekend. We started off with a round of cocktails, followed by the homemade fresh bread, burrata salad and then our main course. The restaurant looks small at first, but has more seating near the bar area! The booths are quite small, so beware you may feel more cramped that usual. I got the mushroom Tagliatelle and it was delicious!

We came here for our anniversary dinner in the summer and we had a nice evening. The menu has many options to choose from which is great. We opted for a seafood night so we got the octopus appetizer, squid ink seafood pasta and the branzino. Everything was delicious. It's a nice spot for special evenings.

Chef meat and cheese plate happy hour

We went for happy hour and had a good time. Enjoyed the meat and cheese plate the most. Espresso martinis were good though a bit foamy. Ricotta bread was okay. They had great drink/ app deals. Will definitely return to try more! Bartenders were very friendly and service was quick. Bar area was a little tight and noise level was normal. Would also like to try for dinner at some point!

Ambiance was lovely. Nice lighting. I was with a group of 14. Drinks were lovely. The fig prosciutto arugula flatbread was so yummy. The tagliatelle with mushrooms was my favorite!

    Caprese, Dry Sunrise, Calamari

My husband and I take the hour and 20 minute trip just to come here. We are a little over a year sober, so finding a restaurant that does legitimate mocktails are hard to come by- but this place? We talk about the Dry Sunrise on our drive home and for days later. While you're sipping on that, absolutely get the fried calamari. With the spice from the peppers, the little bites of the finely sliced zucchini and the perfectly tender calamari it's heaven on a plate. We had went last night and also tried the Caprese salad (we ordered it as an appetizer to share) and our waitress was kind enough to bring it out separated onto 2 plates so we wouldn't have to fight over the last bite of mozzarella (without us even having to ask.) On that note-our waitress last night was spectacular, super on point with filling our waters and checking in. She asked about any allergies or if we wanted any extra proteins to go with our meals. She was aware and helpful and just overall really nice which made the experience even better. Now our main course- pasta! I always get the Garganelli. Salty, savory, cheesy, texturally well balanced. My husband LOVES mushrooms so he goes for the Tagliatelle. He rants and raves about the different mushrooms that go into it and how tender they all are and how flavorful his dish is. The side of broccoli rabe we ordered was delicious as well, buttery and garlicky and cooked to perfection. We went for about 3:15pm. We made a reservation (it was colder out) but it wasn't really necessary. I do recommend a reservation if it was a little closer to dinner time, or absolutely get a reservation if it's warmer out no matter the time. West Hartford is a busy area when the weather allows foot traffic. There is a good amount of outdoor seating. They've also got a bar area for seating, a dining area and a "downstairs" area as well. I did notice some of the tables inside were a little bit close quarters with other tables but that's to be expected when you're trying to be efficient with your space. So, with all that said if you're looking for a good date night spot to have a great drink and some even better food this is your spot. You can come early, walk around the area and check out all the stores and make a day out of it.

The food was a 10. It was definitely crowded so recommend reservations. Prices were reasonable. We did family style so we could have a variety.

This place was delicious! A fun little Italian restaurant in a cool little part of Connecticut. We sat down and were greeted by the nicest and jovial server. Definitely greeted us and told us about the specials and began our service. We ordered a bunch of appetizers and I got to tell you the zucchini blossoms are always amazing! We also had some calamari and a few other things which are never bad choices! I decided to have the salmon and a few others decided to have the scallops and the gnocchi. Everything was delicious! You have to try the fresh burrata it's to die for! All in all, we had a really great time and I can't wait to go back next time I'm in Connecticut.

Wow well this was a sad experience…read more Came here for my birthday lunch with family. The server was all alone trying to wait on a dozen tables or more. We ordered an appetizer of nachos and a few burgers for mains. And waited. And waited. I was checking my watch often because we had two hours on the parking meter that was rapidly winding down to zero. Nachos came after a while. Nothing to write home about... almost stale chips with a cheese/sour cream/green onion and jalapeño topping. Maybe a dozen black beans in the mix. We waited again for our mains. After a total of an hour, they came. I ordered a black & blue burger and asked for tomato to be added. It arrived without the tomato, so I reminded the waitress about that. And eventually the tomato came from the kitchen. Single slice. But by this point the burger was getting cold. I opened the bun to put it on and then saw the kitchen forgot the onion strings. So I flagged her down again to ask and she apologized and went off... to clear other tables. After ten minutes I asked her if the onion rings were coming and she was confused, thinking I didn't want them because I asked for no onions on my salad. No, I just said no raw onion on the salad. She asked it I wanted the onion strings after all. At this point, the burger had been sitting for at least ten minutes and I told her to forget it and just remove it from the bill. She looked over her shoulder and said, "here comes the manager". The manager shows up, reaches over to adjust the umbrella on our table, then leaves. Without saying a word. He walks off and we don't know what's going on. The waitress returns and says she comped my burger 50%. I asked why not 100% because I'm not eating it at all. She blinks and says she'll check. Bill comes back with it removed from the total, and I'm missing my credit card. She runs back exclaiming how she forgot the card and probably could use some coffee today. Ummm, yeah. This was error on error. Not a good look and pretty sad customer service. At least they had the World Cup on tv.

The mussel sauce was unique compared to a typical tomato base, which we really appreciated. For my entrée, though, I was disappointed to see that the tuna salad I always order had completely changed. It used to be an arugula salad with Asian flavors and the tuna served on top. Now it It's a Niçoise salad, and the tuna is awkwardly placed on the side. Nothing about the tuna tasted like it did before. I'm usually a sucker for ahi tuna, but this was honestly one of the most disappointing ahi dishes I've ever had. It felt totally incohesive with the salad next to it. I really wish they didn't change the menu so frequently. Once I finally find an entrée I genuinely look forward to, it disappears. That said, we'll still be back for the great happy hour food and solid drinks. Now it's just a matter of finding a menu item I like... and hoping they keep it.
