My husband, who's grandmother immigrated from Poland, grew on this fare & he rarely gets to eat it now. So, he was thrilled! While we were there, the Monday lunch crowd quickly followed with dining & take-out orders. We ordered at the counter ( oddly, still protected by a huge plexiglass barrier ). When presented with the credit card payment, I noticed the gratuity pre-sets were at full-service levels & tipped as such. However, when we later realized that we picked up our own food & bussed our our table, we decided that we should have tipped for counter service. The food was spot on! Since i eat mostly vegetarian, I always find this type of cuisine challenging. But, a large list of house-made pierogis gave many options. I settled on a plate of six potato & cheddar with onion & sour cream. Since the kapusta here had no meat, I tried a side of that as well. The pierogis were perfect!
