I brought my Escalade to Sarant Cadillac to address an issue with the rear entertainment screen, which had become damaged due to what is clearly a flaw in the design. After doing some research, I found that many other Escalade owners have experienced the same problem, yet Sarant showed no willingness to acknowledge the defect or offer any assistance. For a luxury vehicle -- and especially one marketed as a family SUV -- you'd expect the rear screen to be more durable and thoughtfully placed. It's incredibly frustrating that something so fragile was built into a high-traffic area, especially where young children sit. What's even more disappointing is that another dealership in Riverhead was able to help without hesitation. They understood the issue, completed the repair, and provided a much better overall experience -- exactly what you'd expect from a brand like Cadillac. Unfortunately, Sarant Cadillac failed to meet that standard. I would strongly recommend reconsidering your service options if you value responsiveness and accountability. read more

Would give zero stars - if that was an option.The worst communication from any service company I have dealt with. The service department Never Once Called me with an update on the status. Once I finally got someone on the phone- they were rude and dismissive about the enormity of this problem with a new car. Forget that they have to rebuild the transmission on a car with ONLY 10k miles but it's been in the shop for almost 2 weeks now. I was expecting a call back from the service manager Mike. Nope, didn't even bother to call to tell me the car wouldn't be ready as expected. I asked for a call back from the district manager - been 4 days and nothing. Extremely unsafe and untrustworthy service. Took my car to Sarant Cadillac for a brake fluid flush. When I got it back, the brake pedal went straight to the floor -- they had left a caliper bleeder screw loose, causing brake fluid to leak. A dangerous, careless mistake. They also damaged my carbon fiber front splitter during the service. After some back-and-forth, they agreed to reimburse 50% if I submitted the invoice--but once I did, they refused to pay. Worst of all, the service manager, Joseph Mistretta, was rude, used profanity, and treated me with zero respect. The only professional I dealt with was the service advisor, Anthony DiGuiseppe, who was polite and helpful -- but management clearly has no regard for customers or their property. This dealership shows no accountability, no integrity, and no respect for the people who trust them with their vehicles. If this is how they treat customers, beware before buying a car from them -- their attitude and service are beyond disappointing. Do not trust this dealership. From the moment I dropped off my car, his behavior was unprofessional and frankly disturbing -- he insisted he knew me and said he had to "give me a kiss hello." Completely inappropriate and made me feel extremely uncomfortable. (Security cameras should confirm this.) Joe gave me his personal cell number and told me to text him directly. I sent over my extended warranty info right away, followed up multiple times, and kept getting vague responses like "we're trying to figure it out." No real updates, no transparency, just days of waiting. After five days, Joe made it very clear to me that "it's not my car or my insurance, so it's not my problem -- it's yours." Told me I'm Not priority! That level of disregard and lack of accountability is completely unacceptable, especially from someone representing a premium brand. Anyone thinking of buying a car from Sarant should seriously reconsider -- the service department is TERRIBLE! . If this is how they treat clients who didn't buy from them, it says a lot about how they value loyalty, professionalism, and basic respect. Cadillac is a high-end brand. I purchased a certified pre owned car from Sarant Cadillac based the availability of a specific car I was looking for. I traveled 2 hours to look at the car, confirmed availability and and scheduled an appointment. I was impressed that they were waiting for me and knew my name when I visited. The post COVID sales process is different than pre COVID, not much negotiation to do as availability is tight and I was looking for a very specific car. Sarant had a car on hand with very low mileage and the majority of the options I wanted. I worked with Robert Dreyer who was very straight forward with me and gave me a good experience. If you are shopping pre owned, I recommend working with Robert. I was a bit disappointed that the car was not cleaned prior to my appointment and there was no finance staff there to discuss options. I put a small deposit on the car, they charge a percentage fee when credit cards are used. On the day of pick up, I was given a tutorial on the car, which was short based on my experience with Cadillac....this is my 6th Cadillac. The plates and registration were shipped to my home within the estimated time which was greatly appreciated. It is very unlikely that I will use Sarant for service based on the long distance to my home. The dealership itself employees very friendly people however the dealership itself is stuck in the 1960's, the buildings are worn down and need a facelift. Don't expect bagels, donuts, coffee or a granola bar. I think they may have reinvested their profits into the GM requirements for selling and servicing Electric vehicles as I noticed a Lyriq being prepped for delivery. ZERO STARS: We are leasing a 2023 Cadillac XT4 from Sarant Cadillac. There are 18 of 48 payments left. We pay $694 monthly and as of today, the car has 11,000 miles on it. The car has been in for service for the same leaking problem THREE times within a one month period.. When we purchased the vehicle, we were told that if there ever is a problem, we would be offered a loaner. There is NEVER a loaner available and they keep the car for a minimum of 5 days. I have a $40,000 paver driveway that is covered in oil drippings that cannot be cleaned off. We have to replace a section of pavers. I want out of this lease without costing us any money. The service department at Sarant is the WORST. I have escalated my problem to Cadillac headquarters and a case has been opened. I brought a car in for service on a non mechanical issue, they brushed it off as not worth fixing but apparently found $3,800 worth of serious other issues that need immediate attention. What do you do at that point? I know--should have run. I gave them the job, but they charged a $250 search fee for the original issue the car was brought in for. Seriously? I can understand the fee if I just took the car and left but I just gave you a $3,800 job. You couldn't absorb that? So I paid the bill, went home and noticed another $133 added on there. It was a 3% charge for using a credit card. Yes-they're on the credit card surcharge bandwagon. Guys. You're a select Cadillac dealership not a struggling bagel shop. Shame on you for gouging. Elsewhere iback to Acura where I receive outstanding response and a more reliable vehicle in my opinion. I recently had communications with the GM after my review was posted and he had a absolute good reason for not getting back to me and answered my service questions. He confirmed that the Duke of this dealership had falsely checked into this place 65 times and was misleading yelpers of these check ins that gave the appearance of poor service dept. He gave me a real-time expectation of when everything would be completed. Within an hour, much less than predicted, the car was ready. Gerson Maldonado met with me to review what had been completed. Finally, I met Audrianna the receptionist/cashier. She is also most gracious and accommodating. This is how the process should work. Sarant Cadillac - Disregard for Safety I Leased a 2019 Cadillac CTS AWD 3.6L from Sarant Cadillac in Dec 1918. I Pre-paid the total cost of the lease, with a single payment at the time of the leasing. I previously leased many Cadillac sedans, at least 4 cars from Sarant. I liked the Cadillac brand. I liked the service department; they were always polite and efficient. Approximately 3 days after taking possession of the above vehicle, while attempting to slow down in heavy traffic, the engine suddenly accelerated and with great difficulty I stopped the car by hitting the brake with most of my weight and shifting into neutral. The brake alone was not enough to stop the car. I brought the car to Sarant for a checkup, and they said that no fault was found. During 2019 I had at least ten similar events; the acceleration events were intermittant and unpredictable. During 2019, I wrote numerous memos, sent FAX notes to Sarant outlining the sudden acceleration events, and emphasized that the car is very dangerous to the driver as well to other persons on the road. I trained myself that in order to get out of a sudden acceleration situation, I had to keep my hand on the stick shift and move it as soon as an unexpected acceleration event occurred to the neutral position. The car was in the Sarant service shop for a total of at least 20 days, and they said that they could not find a fault. At one point Sarant installed a monitoring device under my seat and a push button on my windshield and asked me to push the button when a sudden acceleration occurred. At that time, because I was already fearful of the car I severely limited my driving. Therefore no sudden acceleration occurred during the period that the monitor was installed. In fact, I found it extremely offensive that Sarant found it appropriate to use me as a guinea pig. I showed Sarant personnel, including to the Sarant executive manager Antonio Centeno, Internet publications that showed that the acceleration problem was not unique to my car. I rejected their offer; it was a safety issue not a financial issue. To this day I don't understand why it was my responsibility to negotiate the safety of the car. In desperation at one point I offered to participate in the expense to replace (and condemn) the car: Sarant would pay 1/3 of the cost of leasing a new vehicle Cadillac would pay 1/3 of the cost of leasing a new vehicle I would pay 1/3 of the cost of leasing a new vehicle Dominic Vivo, the person that sold me the car and was assigned at various times to look for a solution, stated that the problem is that "I have no equity in the car". Again, it seems that safety was not the issue for Sarant or Cadillac. The acceleration problem continued more frequently in 2020 and 2021. In July 2021 I decided that the danger to my life as well as other peoples' lives, and the continuous tension and fear I felt while driving the car was too much for me. I returned the car to a different Cadillac dealer significantly before the lease expiration date with approximately 15,500 miles driven (versus 36,000 allotted under the lease contact). Finally, I believe that despite my many warnings that the car is a death trap, the car might be resold. I have urged that this vehicle not be re-leased nor sold. However, given my history with this vehicle, in case an unlucky buyer or his descendent will stumble across this note, here is the VIN number of the vehicle: 1G6AX5SS6K0120970 I posted this on Dealer Rater and got a canned response back from Sarant, saying they were sorry that they did not meet my expectations. I am so disgusted with the sales and finance department at this dealership, that I am going to say something so others "BEWARE" Finance department person "Fred" will lie to extort money after the sale/lease a car. He is dishonest as a used car salsemen can be. I lease a XTS on 7/28/2018 and was given my price and upon signing my lease agreement, Fred the not to be trusted finance manager, tried to tell me as a great customer he was giving me a free tire and rim protection package, but I had to pay $506.00 on tax rebates. He went on to tell me that I would receive a tax refund of said amount at the end of the year. When I questioned him he lied again and said, "would you like for me to take away the tire and rim protection" I contacted other car dealers and found out how unethical this was and to fall victim to it. I contacted the GM and explained my situation and what I had to endure and he apologized to me and sent me a check for the $506.00 I had to contact the dealership again today because I have not received my tags for the vehicle, Why?? you figure it out because the temp expires 9/11/2018. I called today and was informed that the salesman John N. ( another unethical creature) he tried to call me. Funny, my phone hasn't rung once. I am going to Farmingdale to personally pick my registration to make sure I have it in hand. PS the service department of this dealership is amazing and courteous and professional always taking care of my needs as a repeat customer.
