Today I and my son had Breakfast - Onion Chilli Oothappam and Onion Chilli Masala Dosa. The food was amazing with sambhar. I also took to go for my family.

A good place to go to for South Indian cuisine, with affordable pricing. But the service and food delivery is really bad. The service is poor at the Irving branch and need to call and wait for a minimum of 5 minutes to order. The service can be improved.

Saravana Bhavan has been an all time favorite of people who like Indian vegetarian food. The chain has made its presence known all over the world. The Irving location was pretty crowded for a Sunday afternoon. We ordered some food which was delivered promptly and the quality was pretty good. They are not super expensive. If you are looking for casual indian vegetarian food, I recommend this place.

Their dosas are very good. Mango lassis are the best and idly is perfect. Waiters are all nice and have good customer service. I'd recommend coming earlier in the day on weekends as they can get seriously busy, fast.

This place is really good for their South Indian dishes. We tried a few different things from their plain uttapam, veg uttapam, masala dosa, mysore masala dosa, idli, mysore bonda, and coffee. Everything was excellent! They were quick in taking our orders and bringing out the food. They definitely need to do a better job of keeping their restrooms clean since it is a family friendly restaurant and there were quite a few kids there. The restaurant, however, is quite clean.

I love visiting Dallas exclusively bc of all the amazing Indian and Mediterranean food. Saravanaa is a well oiled machine and we were in and out if there in 20 mins once seated. Food came out almost immediately and was delish as always. It's always busy but they move fast so give it a shot!

Had idly and dosa. Was served immediately so I think they were prepared beforehand. So they got cold. Taste was okay.

Came here on a busy Sunday, but we were quickly seated. My friend and I ordered the cheese masala dosa and the thali of the day. The dosa was tasty and made well, but the chutneys accompanying it didn't have much flavor. I'm the thali, I enjoyed the desert a lot. The remaining items were simple and good dishes. Overall the food and service were just ok. I don't think I'd come back for a second visit.

Saravanaa Bhavan is a vegetarian lovers paradise! They have a premium selection and extensive variety of dishes. The ample portions will leave you feeling full and satisfied. Everything our group had was delicious! If you only try 1 or 2 things get the Paneer Butter Cheese Masala Dosa & Channa Batura. Trust me you won't regret it. Whether you're a carnivore or vegetarian, I would definitely recommend you try this spot if you're in the area.

AMAZING. Heard so many good things about this place and it definitely exceeded my expectations. This was my first time trying dosa and I loved it! So light and airy, and the masala was so good! The serving size was also sufficiently large, and for less than $10! Very authentic as well. Would definitely return for more!

Came with high anticipation of good food but I didn't really like the kothu parotta although the idli/vada and masala dosa were decent. The service was quick and place was clean.

I haven't had vada pav sliders before but the filling is kind of like fried samosa filling without the dough. It's good. The serving size of the biryani was very impressive. You can see from the photo that they fill the container and then add another mound of rice on top of that - basically 2 servings (we took one home). And they didn't skimp on the chicken either! The chicken is cooked perfectly, the sauces are a great complement and this is an excellent dish. The Lunch Thali gives you a lot of bang for your buck and mine included ~5 pieces of fish fry, about the same amount of veg pakora, yogurt dip, chicken curry with rice, 2 different soups, a naan/tortilla thing, and a carrot dessert (like a halwa). All had good flavor and the soups have a nice spicy kick to them. However, since all the dishes for the thali come off the lunch line (ie all premade), the tortilla, fish and pakoras had been sitting out for awhile and not too hot. Had they come out fresh from the fryer, I might have given this experience 5 stars. As it stands, I'll probably be back for lunch anyways - and the thali is available 7 days a week!

The flavor is off, as they seem to use coconut milk or something sweet which makes the gravy be as thin as water with a sweet flavor profile, which is just not for me. I would rate the Chicken Tikka Masala I had as a 2.5/10, which would be vastly improved by a thicker gravy.

I was greeted upon entering the establishment and was assisted by two of the workers. I explained that I was new to the area and not familiar with the menu. The wait time was around 15 mins. The restaurant looked like it is well maintained and the bathroom looked maintained which is nice as they do reflect on any and every establishment. The dining area looked as if they set up for a buffet/family style meals, and there are about 3 tables for outdoor dining. Overall this was a pleasant experience and I'd say that the food was very pleasant in taste and appearance. As my order was ToGo, my expectations would be that the bag would have had plastic ware and napkins. This oversight was a major disappointment and a huge lacking to detail for a new patron and paying customer. I had to use the lids of the rice container as a makeshift spoon. This time I went a bit all out and ordered the butter chicken momo, creamy Sichuan momo, tandoori momo, steamed momo, and the Delhi masala momo. Honestly, this visit was way better. Last time the biggest issue was the sauce, it just wasn't enough and everything felt pretty dry, but this time they really fixed that and the sauces actually showed up, which made a huge difference. Everything tasted solid overall, though it really depends on what you like since the flavors are pretty different across the menu. The momo wrappers are on the thicker side, so if you're someone who prefers a thinner skin, just keep that in mind because that was the case with all the ones I tried. My favorite ended up being the tandoori momo, even though it was a bit salty, the flavor was really good. I usually don't go for butter chicken momo, but that one surprised me, it was actually a hit and everyone at the table liked it. The Delhi masala momo was vegetarian and still packed with flavor, and the creamy Sichuan momo was also pretty good. I really enjoyed the sweet and umami taste of the butter chicken sauce. one hack is to take a small bite of the momo and then fill the inside with sauce and then eat the whole momo.
