2026 Update: After three months of back-and-forth, I'm feeling discouraged. On two separate visits, the office was not prepared for the procedure we had previously discussed and agreed upon. There have also been changes proposed that felt different from the original plan, which has made the process confusing and stressful. Biggest regret of my life was walking into this Doctor office and getting a dental implant. Dr. Sargon is unprofessional, rude and thinks he is better than every other specialist in los angeles. office staff is also not very nice and it seems like he has a high turnover. 7 years later and $15,000+ spent on fixing all of the complications that came alongside this implant, the issues still continue. First of all this is just my opinion. I went to Doctor Sargon in 2019 for dental implants for all my upper teeth. We went over the plan and the cost was $60,000. I had the surgery and after it healed I was told that some didn't heal correctly and I had to have a plate. This was during COVID and so it took a very long time. I was patient. I finally got the teeth but he put in metal parts that were screwed into my gums. The teeth snap in and out of the metal parts. Pretty soon the metal parts fell out and since Doctor Sargon is in Encino I found a dentist close to me. She didn't know what to do with the parts and suggested I go back so I did. Doctor Sargon told me that anyone who does implants should know what to do. He screwed the metal parts back in and adjusted the teeth for $500. Less than a week later the first screw fell out and the teeth would no longer stay in. I went the 3 other Dentists and was told for my quality of life I should have them redone. For $60,000 they should of lasted a lifetime. I had surgery again and had them redone for half the price. I no longer have any metal parts and the teeth stay in unless the Dentist takes them out. I'm so happy with my new smile. Doctor Sargon can bash me all he wants but I feel I was ripped off. read more

Worst dentist I've ever had work on my mouth. He is impatient and just not nice. He is rough and heavy handed and his work is sloppy. I had gone to a second dentist after Sargon did my implants and he took xrays just to show me how Sargon had connected an implant crown to a natural tooth with cause the natural tooth to break and hurt. Sargon had to then fix his mistake by doing a sinus graph which was so painful. He does what he wants even when you tell him you want something different than he suggests. When there is something wrong, like a mistake he made, he blames the client. I decided to wait to leave a comment until a few months after he finished my teeth as I was hoping the crowns would get more comfortable. But no. My crowns are so uncomfortable. What a great experience- who would have thought going for an emergency would be so wonderful and painless in all aspects- auntie's dentures she had made less than a year ago in East Coast where her sons live split in two and we thought it'll take weeks before we can get a new one - nope we were wrong - we went in just for a consultations - instead we got all fixed up in matter of couple hours because Dr.Sargon felt it was salvageable having the technology and lab right in his office, in fact he used his technique and expertise to make the dentures even better than when they were brand new, the housings and spacers fit like a glove and because he's a true inventor he perfected the dentures so they will not split in two again. If u want bacterial contamination & cracked teeth go here! Would put zero stars if possible. I went in for a consultation & cleaning. The x-ray tech put a smelly chewed up block in my mouth with NO plastic sleeve OR ANYTHING on it! It tasted like I had made out with an elderly person after she took it out. It was so bad I had to get up to brush my teeth right then & there before what I thought would be the consultation I was scheduled/had to pay 100$ up front for. What I got was a very unpleasant 30 seconds of a very heavy handed man rummaging around in my mouth. Followed by the asshole actually HITTING my upper/lower molars with his MIRROR repeatedly (ON POURPOSE) & turning to me to ask "HOW DOSE THAT FEEL?" I said not good at all, it feels like u just rattled my brain. I find myself wondering if this brute is even a real doctor. Also it feels like I will never be returning to this pathetic excuse for a dentist, ever again. They continued to try to strong arm me into more procedures I did not want & when I asked why they were so expensive they straight up told me they raise their prices every two years. DO NOT GO TO THIS DENTIST IF YOU VALUE YOUR TEETH, TIME AND MONEY. Out $13,000 and he messed up my teeth! I was happy with this dentist for awhile after having a couple of tooth implants. I had 4 dental bridges fall off so I had 4 individual implants done. But because I want my teeth to look good, I went with the 4 implants instead of the bridge. Other dentists are cheaper but I went to him because he was supposed to be good. January 10th I was told by the staff that 4 implants, if paid by cash, will cost $13,000. Must be $10,000 UP FRONT, before work happens. Which is odd, but I brought $10,000 and he began the the work. It took the dentist only 1.5 hour for the entire procedure, for the actual implants, with temporary crowns. That's it. Then it was only supposed to be a couple of weeks for the permanent implants but they kept canceling all my appointments. Then they said the crowns weren't "right" and they needed to correct them. FINALLY on March 17th, TWO MONTHS LATER, I was told my crowns were ready. I went in and when I was laying in the chair they showed me how it looked and I said it looks fine. When you're laying on your back in a dentist chair, it's not the same as sitting up or walking around. The very next day, I looked and realized not only was it TOO BIG for my mouth, and the COLOR WAS OFF, I made another appt. It was hard to eat with them. He shaved some off, and STILL didn't fit and look right. My wife and employees and friends all agreed they looked off and out of place. Not to mention it was hard to eat with them. I told him I was so unhappy with the work. And he got REALLY ANGRY and said "because of your bad comments, you have to pay for ALL FOUR again and I will re do the work". Unbelievable! I SPENT $13,000 FOR FOUR IMPLANTS THAT DON'T FIT OR LOOK GOOD. $13,000!!!! I am going to pursue this as much as I can and that includes court. I am out $13,000 and can't even chew food correctly. I wish to share my personal experience with Dr. Sargon Lazarof. A few years ago I had a catastrophic accident, losing four front teeth, a lacerated lip, and a fractured palate. A desperate call to Dr. Lazarof's office was made and his secretary made an immediate emergency appointment. I lived out of state at the time and coordination was critical. The appointment was made one day later. I flew into LAX and went immediately to his office with Dr. Lazarof going into action right away. The surgery was extensive, ranging from repairing a fractured palate to bone grafting, repairing my lip and placing four dental implants. I was euphoric when I left the office with all of my injuries repaired I could actually smile with my new perfect teeth. I was so grateful that Dr. Lazarof had invented the first FDA approved immediate load implant system (Ultratooth). Dr. Lazarof's surgical skills in repairing my injuries was nothing short of amazing. Allow me to add, that I am a general dentist myself and how important this was to me to choose the right dentist. My father was dentist, so I'm very critical of who I see. Sargon Institute is great at what they do. I've been through many trials and tribulations here but Dr. Lazarof stands by his word. He will do everything in his power to make you happy and look great no matter how long it takes. I was not an easy case. Not everything is under their control. Labs, etc. with times and prices. After a horrible experience at DR. DAN ROSEN's "395 IMPLANTS" which $20,000 later I ended up with lower infected/loose teeth which left me "toothless" I went to SARGON DENTAL INSTITUTE on 5/14/19 to see DR. SARGON LAZAROF to get an free estimate of the cost to correct the problem by replacing Dr. Rosen's 6 bottom crowns with implants. For starters, dentists are so intrusive they require you to fill out mounds of paperwork providing your most confidential information including SSN#, entire medical history, insurance information and emergency contacts, just to get a free consultation and estimate. You haven't even made a commitment to hire them! Next I sat in the waiting room, waiting... waiting to be called, despite the fact I was the ONLY patient there! Dr. Lazarof did an examination and mentioned taking x-rays. I realize a dentist's motive in taking x-rays is so they can make money off of my insurance company during the "free" (to me) examination. X-rays can be harmful, and I would think most patients do a little comparison shopping before committing to expensive and grueling dental work, so why would dentists expect patients to have continuous x-rays done by every dentist they get a price quote from? Obviously they put THEIR best (financial) interest before their patients (health) interest. Dr. Lazaro (reluctantly) provided me with a written estimate for his dental services, which were in excess of $20,000. The problem began when I later discovered the estimate was intentionally written on a blank form with no identifiable information, omitting his/his company name/logo, the date, or any signature. I contacted Dr. Lazstof's ofc. and asked Ann to simply email me a copy of the estimate. Ann gave me the runaround for several days ignoring all my calls and emails and followed by excuses, saying she would have to get permission from the ofc. mgr. Mona Lisa (who was not in the ofc. and wouldn't be in until the following wk) or Dr. Lazarof who was never available. Ann then told me I would have to come in for a SECOND CONSULTATION and pay $150 to get an estimate. It became very apparent to me that the initial "free examination" was bogus and the estimate was not worth the blank form it was intentionally written on. Naturally the odd and evasive behavior by Ann rose my suspicions as to Dr. Lazarof's motive in refusing to provide a potential patient with an actual written estimate of his cost. Any consideration of Sargon Dental went right out the window by the way I was treated by this ofc. I finally became so frustrated I requested they return my entire file to me by mail. To sum it up in two words, he's amazing. His treatment of my major dental issues changed my life for the better immediately the first time I ever saw him for treatment over 2 years ago. I had a full mouth restoration of implants he invented. Not a problem with any of it. And most amazing, I had no pain experienced in any treatment I ever had in his office. And I had major surgery. I was eating salmon dinner later that night after 2 hours dental surgery, under anesthesia, when he implanted about 10 implants I needed. Dr Sargon staff is wonderful, warm, friendly, and are pros. It's True! You can really have your implant installed with a provisional tooth and use it the same day. I called Dr. Sargon office and set my appointment. After the exam Dr. Sargon offered me two options the traditional type of implant that takes weeks to have a tooth or the immediate load implant. I need the immediate load type, as the tooth above where my missing tooth was stated to grow out and was causing me pain and if this did not fix it, I would need to have that upper tooth removed or a root canal. The procedure to put the implant in was fast. I think that it only took about 45 minutes to have the implant and tooth. I ate a burrito and some hard-shell tacos within two hours after leaving his office. I had the provisional tooth for two or three months as I got busy, then I caught that flu. The provisional tooth finally broke and I had the permanent tooth put in. I have nothing but good things to say about my experience with the Dr. and his staff. The only regret that I have was waiting so long before calling Dr. Sargon. I had see the tapes and gotten some research on the internet. Additionally, I had seen 6 other dentists. I went to him specifically to do the implant and while the office does charge you for the initial visit it was rolled into the procedure. He did the exam, with x-ray's and a scan. He determined that he could do immediate load implant and gave the price that I was already quoted before I went to the office. I have had the implant for about six months and it feels like it my own natural tooth. The procedure was fast, and I was eating like normal within 2 hours. After many years seeking the cheapest dental care and experiencing the poor quality "I paid for," I finally found Dr. Sargon Lasaroff and his cheerful staff at his beautiful Encino office. When a weak front tooth crown broke off taking the remains of the damaged natural tooth below it, I was desperate to find a new dentist. I interviewed many dentists in the San Fernando Valley but none stood out like Dr. Sargon's dental institute for a number of reasons. First, I was very impressed with the impeccably clean facility and the efficiency of the staff when I came in for my initial diagnosis. Second, when I decided to move forward with Dr. Sargon, my options were clearly explained and the initial procedure was launched using his proprietary immediate load implant, sending me home with a nice smile just in time for the holiday season. With a number of other compromised teeth that would need eventual attention, I knew that I could count on Dr. Sargon and his team to take care of me as the urgency(s) arose. Since first meeting Dr. Sargon at the end of 2014 we laid out a treatment and payment plan for the permanent replacement of my damaged old dental work with 5 new implants. I can only praise every aspect of working with Dr. Sargon's office. Due to unfortunate neglect of my teeth, for various reasons, I developed an infection in two of my molars which resulted in such excruciating pain that I couldn't function during daily activities, let alone focus at work. A friend of mine recommended Dr. Lazarof...I called the office and told them my situation and they gave me an appt for the same day!! (that was the first bonus) The office itself is so clean and nice! It has a great feel to it...not one of a typical dentist office. I like to say that it feels like i'm on a little vacation every time I go to Dr. Lazarof's office. The office setting is all white and the rooms are open, not the typical claustrophobic feeling I get at other places. The staff is amazing! They make you feel relaxed and ease any worries you may have. The office just has a fun vibe to it that, along with the work done on my teeth, has gotten me to go back there again and again. Now the actual work that was done on me was awesome! I had to have one wisdom tooth pulled and one molar had to get the infection drained and a root canal was done. The work done was amazing. It took a few appointments to get through the root canal but after my first office visit I looked forward to going in and getting everything done. What you read about Dr. Lazarof's patented implant technology is all true! He invented this technology 27 years ago and is so skilled at it that the implant work I had done yesterday was so perfect that I was eating an apple right after the provisional crown was placed, which was witnessed by 5 visiting dentists who came to observe this technology. The whole process took only about an hour with no discomfort during surgery and no pain, no swelling afterwards. As a retired engineer who had worked as a medical engineer 40 yrs ago at a Harvard teaching hospital in Boston while working on my doctorate, I also appreciate the opportunity to understand this implant technology vs. the traditional method (7-8 months process, let alone the infection risk when I travel abroad) when he was explaining in details to the group of visiting dentists. A good doctor but a very unprofessional practice. They quote you a price and then surprise you with on the spot unnecessary imaging. So let me start off by saying I've never written a yelp review...but my experience with Dr. Lazarof and his team is worth sharing. I was not thrilled about having to get an implant and once I started telling people I needed an implant, Dr. Lazarof was recommended to me. I made an appointment and everything has been smooth since then. I was so scared about the whole procedure, but Dr. Lazarof and his team took great care of me and I felt NOTHING....no joke. I was SO WORRIED about pain afterwards but I didn't need any pain meds and was eating like normal shortly after. Thanks to Dr. Lazarof and his team, I'm still in shock about how easy and painless this process has been for me. read more
