I do not recommend this office or Dr. Sharma. My mother was referred to Dr. Sharma through her dentist. Dr. Sharma and staff didn't notice or treat the infection that developed after my mother's root canal and subsequent visits, even though the infection caused her to faint in their office. I looked up their office during my flight to LA (in town for Thanksgiving with a monster toothache) and sent them an email. I was worried they wouldn't be able to get me in the day before Thanksgiving but they called me first thing the next morning and offered to squeeze me into their schedule. I was referred by my dentist to come here for a root canal. The building has its own parking. However, I did not read the cost, nor the validation process. if it even has one. I decided to park around the corner on the streets, which had 2 hours of parking. As soon as I walked in, the waiting room was very peaceful. It had seating for 6 people. 4 chairs and 1 loveseat. My appointment was on time and/or early. They walked me into one of the examining rooms and it felt as if I got transported into the 80s or 90s with the decor. I'm sure the equipment is up to date though. Hahaha. I believe my dentist was Dr. Sharma. She was absolutely sweet and overly bubbly. Just a constant vibe of positivity. Her touch was very gentle too. I did not feel a thing when she numbed my mouth. The procedure seemed very quick and painless. I was so fascinated by the entire process that time just flew by. My only gripe is the CT scan. I think it cost $175, not covered by insurance. It seemed excessive, but they claimed it was necessary. So much so, that they said they could NOT proceed without it. Questionable. In the end, it was completed with no complications, so ... I'll just work a couple more countless hours to make up for it. read more

I'd add ten stars if I could. I had nerves about having a root canal. The office staff had already received my records and put me at ease. Didn't feel a thing. Gave me directions for aftercare and Dr Sharma and Anna were very gentle and thoughtful during the entire time. Was able to drive home and feeling better with just some Advil. My procedure went longer but I had planned for it. They have a parking garage and they accept both cash and cards. There is metered street parking, a root canal procedure is around 1.5 so that can add up. There is dropoff parkway perfect for Uber. Office was clean and the music was very soothing. Nobody ever wants to do a root canal, but Dr. Sharma made the whole process so easy and painless. I didn't even feel any pain from the shot at the beginning. I've been going to the same dentist since I was child but finally switch over to a new primary care dentist who referred me here for dental work. My first visit was very quick and informative. I met Dr. Tran who was very welcoming and knowledge about the procedures needed. I scheduled a root canal today and I must say, this was the best dental experience I've ever had. From the procedure itself to the welcoming staff. When I arrive the girls are in front are very welcoming and sweet. Then the dental assistant India took me to the back. I was a bit nervous but she quickly answered all my questions and put me at ease. I felt like I had known her forever. Once the procedure began it was all smooth sailing. I recently had to undergo a root canal and was treated by Dr. Narbeh Bandary. Let me clarify that I absolutely hate, loath, fear having dental work done... ...however, I could not have received better treatment than I received from Dr. Bandary. His bedside manner was very gentle, he was extremely kind about my intense fear, and he played relaxing music to help me calm down. By the end of the procedure, I was actually able to be calm, and I found out that Dr. Bandary not only is a great endodontist, but also knows a lot about the history of root canals!!! I sit here, writing this review with tears in my eyes. I had a,not so great several experiences with my current dentist. My biggest mistake was allowing for him to do my 1st ever root canal. Needless to say, it didn't turn out well. I called Sherman Oaks Endodontics in tears of pain. Not only was the young lady who answered my call, cool, calm, collected, but she ran off to do everything, humanly possible, to see if she could get me some help the same day. And she did. Dr. Sharma to the rescue, agreed to see me. She's not just any doctor, she's THE doctor. As in, the ONLY person on this planet you want handling anything pertaining to a root canal. Ever. I was soothed into a comfortable chair by a lovely assistant who saw my panic and dental phobia, who, again, went the extra mile to keep me comfortable. In comes Dr. Sharma. THE Doctor. I told her, it takes me 8 jabs on average to get me numb. She heard me. She did it in 2. I told her what happened, my awful experience, my fear, anxiety... that all went out the door, just with her demeanor, and the fact that she hears her patient. While I'm receiving an actual root canal, in comes Ms. Terry from the front to inform me that my procedure is covered by my health insurance. What? No one ever bothered to find out! Ms. Terry did. So, I was comforted, taken in at the last second, shown that there are people who actually know what they're doing, I walked out covered in tears of gratitude, which now stream down my face again. I had a 2nd first root canal today, my novacaine has worn off, and yet, the relief is still here. So much gratitude for the entire crew, what a great place to be. Best team ever. Dr. Saad is a fantastic doctor, and the perfect choice for your root canal...because she did NOT give me root canal. One of my wisdom teeth had an enormous cavity and I did not want to have it extracted because my wisdom teeth have been perfectly functioning teeth for me my whole life. (Quick tip if you still have your wisdom teeth: make sure to get a "panoramic x-ray" done every few years, because I unfortunately learned the hard way that regular x-rays do NOT reach all the way back to wisdom teeth - that's what enabled my giant wisdom tooth cavity to fester unnoticed for years!) So my only other solution was root canal, and I was referred to Dr. Saad to have the procedure done... However after Dr. Saad had me all shot up and ready to drill, she started probing under my gum line because she was concerned that due to the size of the cavity the root canal would not be fully successful and also the crown might fail - which would necessitate the tooth soon being extracted anyway, making this a completely needless root canal. So she strongly suggested we abort mission, before she even started to drill. I'm sure that others in her shoes would have shrugged, thought "not my problem" and gladly accepted the payment for a procedure that would not be of any use to me. I had really wanted to keep my wisdom tooth... But I knew that by Dr. Saad saying that this one would need to go, I definitely did every last thing I could to save it. Also fwiw, even though I myself have technically now had only a consult with Dr. Saad and not a procedure as I'd expected, my wife has indeed actually had a root canal with Dr. Saad and is just as big a fan of hers as I am - so you will definitely be in very good hands! read more

This review is for Dr. Tran. I am so happy that I accidentally got assigned to him. I was in tremendous pain all last week and over the weekend. I'm one of those that is afraid of the dentist, so I procrastinate until it's too late and then I am crying for an appointment! But the pain took over late last week, so I called for an appointment on Friday, late afternoon. I was given the first available appointment, which was Monday at 9:00 am with Dr. Tran. I felt compelled to write this "review" as Dr. Tran was so kind and knowledgeable, took various X-rays, explained my issue, got me an estimate of all costs prior to starting anything,, and once approved he got to work. I'm not kidding even a little when I say I didn't feel a thing, not even any type of discomfort! Dr. Bandary is fantastic!! I was a little weary of getting a root canal because my dentist had difficulty getting that specific tooth numb during the filling. Dr. Bandary was extremely gentle, thorough and made extra effort to make sure that I was comfortable the entire time. Even the numbing (which is usually the most painful part) was a breeze, I only felt one small pinch which was negligible. The entire staff is friendly, efficient and organized. I don'y usually write glowing reviews about any doctor or dentist I've been treated by- but I had an amazing experience with Dr Mo Kang in Sherman Oaks. I was told that my tooth was likely in need of extraction- it was that bad. However my general DDS referred me to Dr Kang's office for a possible root canal to see if they could save the tooth and a lot more follow up dental work (like implant or bridge-) I'm sort of freaking because of the thought of a root canal and the pain, etc. Dr Kang did the procedure with ZERO pain, and saved the tooth, all with amazing expertise-seriously. Dr. Bandary looks like he's 17 and should not be working in your mouth, but he is awesome. The front and back office are a pleasure and completely put you at ease. And they have an Amazon Echo that played New Orleans Jazz for me during my root canal. This is my second root canal because. .. my dentist is not good at them. So, they are always able to accommodate me on short notice. Dr. Bandary is super calm (obviously does not take coffee) which helped me remain calm (I have self diagnosed myself as having STRESS ACTIVATED TOURRETT'S SYNDROME). The sad part is that I am in less pain when I leave his office than when I leave my regular dentist. I hope I never need another root canal again.
