Sarku Japan always offers good comforting food to my stomach. Teriyaki chicken (or with shrimp) with steam veggie and rice is my to go order. The quality is consistent across all Sarku. It's another thing I like about Sarku. Great food and flavor. The service is quick. It makes me even more hungry seeing the sizzling meat on the grill. This Sarku is in Willowbrook mall food court. Many tables and seats for customers. During meal time it gets crowded. Overall a good choice for quick and affordable food.

Located inside Willowbrook Mall, this Sarku Japan is conveniently located in the food court of the mall and satisfies my mall chicken teriyaki cravings. I've been here twice in this month so far. We got the chicken teriyaki both times and the staff were all friendly. They asked if we wanted extra sauce and when we asked to have 3 scoops of the sauce, they were accommodating! The chicken teriyaki is just such a classic and tastes a lot better when you get extra sauce so it can be mixed in with the rice and vegetables as well. It's a quick grab and go situation and there is plenty of seating available in the food court.

Have been coming to SARKU JAPAN in the Willowbrook food court for ages! It's a quick service restaurant chain. Always enjoy the different teriyaki dishes. Yesterday's Beef and Shrimp Teryaki was $10.49. Totally worth it!!! Sarku does have daily food specials. In addition, Sarku offers various beverages. My fav is the Snapple Peach Ice Tea! Sarku offers bento boxes, tempura and sushi rolls. Since COVID, a plastic partition completely surrounds the service area. Got to give SARKU 5 Stars for Great fast food and customer service!!!!

When you come to Sarku Japan in the willowbrook mall, it can get really busy and have long lines. On the right side on the cash register is where they cook hibachi, the food portions are huge. You could definitely spilt a meal. When i want to eat something light i go for the sushi. The left side of the cash register is where you wait for the sushi order . I usually go a for special roll because they have more flavor than the tuna roll that they make there. I recommend the red bull or rainbow roll. The only con is that their is only one register.

-What do you want? -Hmmm...today's chicken lunch special. -Ha? -(I know my English is decent, so I start reading the sign over her head). Teriyaki chicken please. -Do you want rice and vegetables? -(Hmmm... The sign says "with rice and vegetables". So I guess I am still sane) Yes, please. That is my typical lunch order here, at least five times in the past two weeks. I like the decent lunch special. The chicken is tender and not too salty, although they do not give you a lot. I was trying to find excuses to try other vendors but my laziness glued me here. Things changed last Wednesday. One thing of cooking on iron is that the grease are routinely scrapped and removed from the surface after each batch. The cook appearingly was not happy about so much disgusting grease on the collection tray. He used the cooking spatula to clean the tray and made it shining again. nothing is wrong here until he went back use the same spatula to stir fry the chicken. It is a vomiting scene. I am sure this is just an isolated incident.

Im still angry of my experience with this two dickheads!the cook yelled at me that my order is available I went to grab it and then another guy yelled at me and said thats not mine I was like okay, i said the cook told me that it was mine thats why i grab it... I asked them what theyre talking about and they said NOTHING well here we go A BIG FUCK YOU TO THE COOK AND TO THE GUY, The one I am talking about is on duty today May 1 2018 2:23pm the cook and the other guy... i had my refund and walk away theyre food looks shit anyway and I deserve respect when its not my FUCKING FAULT! Again A BIG FUCK YOU TO YOU BOTH! Sarku Japan at willowbrook mall wayne nj. Thats his picture I WONT BE BACK HERE. Btw the Lady smiled to me and told me I did the right thing. Again BIG FAT FUCK YOU! Yum! Always a go-to stop while at the Willowbrook Mall. Pretty consistent with their food for the most part. I always seem to get the same thing- chicken teriyaki with noodles instead of rice and no vegetables. Tip: Always ask for extra sauce when they finish making yours- definitely worth it! My boyfriend got half chicken and half shrimp teriyaki with fried rice and vegetables and he enjoyed his as well. Good portion for the price. Will be back when at the mall!

Came here so many times, I lost count. Since high school I came here. I will always remember this place because this was the first place I bought lunch with my first debit card. It will always be in my heart. 1) The chicken teriyaki is great. 2) The price is reasonable. 3) The food comes fast. 4) They always give free samples.

THIS was considered extra meat! I don't want to even imagine if I didn't ask for extra. These people are robbing us of our portions.

The place is a simpler local eatery, so decor wasn't exactly a designed by some of the best New York interior decorators, but it was pleasant and very calm. The food is a fusion of various Asian cuisines but it is picked very well and cooked to perfection. Kids loved the Baos and Ramen which is probably one of the best indicators of the quality. From what I can tell it is family owned and run, so service may be a little slower than most similar places but it is definitely attentive and friendlier then most.

We shared some small plates and tried to get a good feel for the menu. Higher end vibe with some cool fusion elements to the options available - it's clear ingredients are high quality and presentation is very important to them. Even the drinks have fun little lights in them! Service was very kind and attentive but also lets you take your time - which is lovely! We had reservations which I don't think was necessary on a weeknight, but would recommend it for weekends. They mark your reserved table with a cute sign! Overall prices were a bit high for the portions but I understand it's likely for quality. Be prepared to spend if you're hungry!

Honestly I had incredible conger eel in Japan and have never had a better experience since. Every…read moreeel I have had in the U.S. has never compared, even the eel I had in Seoul, so I was hesitant to order it at Minoru. But this was absolutely worth it. I'm so glad my husband pressured me to. The eel was incredibly tender and delicate on the inside with a delicious crispy exterior and a rich flavor with every bite. The contrast in texture was so so good and it honestly exceeded my expectations in every way. I wish I had more. Easily the best eel I have had in the U.S. I'm still thinking about it weeks later. My husband ordered the Wagyu donburi, which was excellent. The Wagyu was incredibly tender. The waitress also cracked an egg over the beef. It came with rice at the bottom, miso soup, and broth. I also really appreciated that our waitress came over and explained the different ways to enjoy both entrees. There were four different ways to eat each one, which made the experience feel much more thoughtful and interactive. I enjoyed eating mine plain and mixed with broth, scallions, and seaweed. These were the only two dishes we ordered and both were excellent. I will definitely be back for the eel again. It is definitely cheaper than flying to Japan to get my fix.

Came here on a Saturday evening and, honestly, I'm pretty shocked by how positive some of the…read morereviews are. The ambiance is beautiful and the concept is really cool, but unfortunately, the execution falls short. Given the high prices, I expected much better quality in both the food and service. The fact that it's BYOB is definitely a plus. We started with the miso soup, which was $8. For that price, I expected something more elevated, but it tasted no different from basic takeout miso soup. We also ordered the large sashimi appetizer. The fish was mediocre overall and simply didn't match the price point. The botan shrimp was probably the highlight. I ordered the Kaisen Don. The uni was fresh, although not among the best I've had. The tuna, however, was disappointing--you could tell just by looking at the color that it wasn't particularly fresh. The portion of fish was also very small, with the bowl heavily filled with rice. I'm pretty particular about sushi rice, and unfortunately, I didn't enjoy theirs. My husband ordered the Gyu Don, which was just okay. Again, there was very little meat and a LOT of rice. Overall, this place was a huge disappointment. The prices are far too high for the quality and portions you're getting, and there's a lot of room for improvement. The ambiance and BYOB concept are great, but unfortunately, the food just doesn't live up to the price or the hype. I'm genuinely surprised by all the glowing reviews.
