Ordered the #8 platter for take out. Decent amount of sushi for the price. The salmon, hamachi and the rolls, mostly California, were pretty good. Unfortunately, the tuna was off. It had a dense consistency bordering on hard. It also lacked flavor and had a bit of a sour aftertaste. I'm not sure if it was actually tuna. I feel it may have been hake with some kind of red food coloring added to make it look like tuna. With all that said we may give Yellowtail another try at some point to give them an opportunity for redemption. But we won't be in any rush to do so. read more

Great sushi with very kind staff. Good quality and very reasonably priced. We always get the sashimi deluxe and a couple specialty rolls like the spider, alligator and queen. My friend loves their beef bibimap. I've had their ice cream before too and they have green tea and red beans flavors in addition to the usual chocolate and vanilla. Came here a couple of times for dinner - very nice staff and service was good. Parking lot shared with the other stores on the strip. Menu is plentiful and lots to choose from. Appetizers: Hamachi kama - very good and filling Japchae to share - delicious as well All sushi rolls, sashimi are fresh and made to order. Good value for dinner box which is a lot of food. Beef bulgogi (delicious) and salmon teriyaki - comes with miso soup, fried dumplings, shrimp and mixed veggies tempura, and a California roll. This is the best local sushi place I've ever been to. The food is delicious, but it's the service and the ambiance that really made the experience so memorable for me. I got the creamy salmon roll, eel avocado roll, salmon passion and chicken teriyaki. I recommend the creamy salmon and the chicken teriyaki. And the music is really good. You know what? I would absolutely come back here for the sushi 3 roll lunch special if I was in town. It hit the spot. Got 2 salmon Avocado rolls and one eel Avocado roll, came with a bowl of Miso Soup. The soup was a little bit washed down, watery... but still had decent flavor. The miso soup here was very nicely seasoned and not overwhelming. However, no water was brought to the table or even communication that water is would not served at the table. We didn't order drinks and I realized I didn't have a drink while I was gagging on some of wife's crab that should have been named stringy krab. Anyhow, the waiter was nice. The restaurant was clean. However, I did not really enjoy the flavor of the food, despite it being nicely plated. It's possibly a good picture spot for food, I don't like taking pictures of stringy krab though. read more

I seen that this place just opened and I was in the mood for some ramen. I called in my order of spicy miso ramen with vegetables lunch special. The man said it came with rice but I didn't want rice and he allowed me to get a side salad instead. When I arrived I found parking in the plaza parking lot. I seen in the window there was a 20% grand opening discount and instead of paying about $12 it went down to a little over $9 which was great. I paid the nice man and left. When I dug in I really liked the salad and the dressing they gave with it. It was very fresh and tasty. The ramen was ok, just a little bland. We had the Monster Special Roll (spicy), Crazy Love Special Roll , and Monica Special roll. The inside decor is very cute and Korean af. Most importantly the rolls were really tasty. Id say it gave our regular sushi spot a run for its money. I for sure plan on coming back for take out, as the indoor dining area is a little small for my comfort. The only con I'd like to point out is that we requested tap water but the waiter kept pushing us to get bottled water. We were under the assumption the bottled water was free until we got the bill and realized they actually charged us $2 each. Not cool guys. TLDR give place a chance like I did. This is a Korean run sushi place; this is a good thing, as I have been to several Korean sushi places and they are all quite good. Got the mini omakase for lunch twice and it was quite good for $17 or $18! This is obviously not the type of traditional omakase you will find starting at 3x the price, but it is a tonnn of food and pretty tasty. The fried pieces were especially good. For starters, we've tried the crispy rice (my favorite!), edamame, and the spicy crab taco. As far as rolls go, I usually cycle between the same ones: the melody roll, lover's roll, and crazy roll.
