He is not knowledgeable (made several errors), incredibly difficult to work with, and has the temperament of a petulant child. Edit: Some red flags for future readers - 1) this is the only home inspector of the five we reached out to who required full payment BEFORE the appointment. 2) he sent the original contract at midnight the night before he cancelled and cancelled it at 6:30pm, meaning he gave us less than 18 hours to read, sign and pay for a contract. 3) Since he cancelled on us last minute, I politely asked (pleaded, even) for him to reconsider - I said I would pay and sign then, but he denied us. This guy is probably sadistic or sociopathic at the least - it seemed he took pleasure in leaving us without help. 4) There are several typos in his reply above - keep in mind that this is who will be analyzing your home and writing your 100+ page inspection report.
