I had a wonderful experience this morning at Sasee. I love getting haircuts, but I have tricky hair so it is hard for me to trust hair stylists. I have only ever trusted one lady in my life, but we lost touch. I now live in Santa Barbara, but am back here in my hometown for break, and desperately needed my hair fixed because the $10 Paul Mitchell girls in SB did a not-so-great job. I'm so happy I found this salon and got a last minute apt with Tara. She was so friendly and down-to-earth, and I felt completely safe in her hands - she knew what she was doing, listened to ever detail I told her and was responsive to it. The best customer service a person can give! She was also interested in who I was and we had nice chit-chat throughout the experience. The salon is really nice and spacious as well and they offer drinks. Tara did an impeccable job on my hair and did it a lot faster than other stylists have been able to. I could not be happier. It is so incredibly refreshing to get an amazing hair cut - and on top of that, this salon is SO cheap for the type of service they provide! I have never gotten my hair cut this well for less than $60 and this is a HUGE PLUS and makes me love them even more! I really hope I get the chance to get my hair cut here again when I come back up for a visit. read more

I got my hair done by Bekki who is the best hairdresser I have ever had. I decided to try something a little different than my usual cut. I brought in a picture of the style I wanted and Bekki was able to replicate it. She ALSO took into account my specific hair needs. I have a round face and thin hit but Bekki was able to cut my hair to make it look fuller. The next day at work and out at happy hour EVERYONE was complimenting my haircut. read more

I have Amy Lawrence do my Brazillian Blowout every few months and she is amazing! My hair frizzes so badly especially in the rainy or humid seasons and she is my life saver! Although I see Amber for my cut and style, I would not hesitate to go to Amy for that too, if Amber were to be unavailable. Love this salon! Eden Tavares so rocks! I have been going to her for cuts and color for about three years - have always had wonderful cuts and unbelievable color. She has appointments on Sundays which works for my schedule since I work Monday through Friday, and many Saturdays. She has been fantastic since day one, talking with me about what I like. I totally trust her and let her choose, and I leave looking fantastic! She is always on time and goes out of her way to make sure I look great and leave happy! I had a great first experience at Sasee with Tara! She was patient as I was explaining what kind of cut I wanted, and I've loved my cut both times I've gone to her. The salon feels intimate but cozy, but was spacious and they are very accommodating -- they have a cute little coffee and tea set up and a nice waiting area. Tara was awesome! She's super nice and personable, and she's very attentive to her clients' wants/needs. She totally understood my hair type, and gave me great advice how to tame the frizz. I don't usually go to salons, but I felt totally comfortable at Sasee because of the friendly staff. My haircuts have both been incredibly affordable, and each time I expected to pay more. This review is for a manicure by Erin. Really not impressed. Her work was okay, but she was pretty slow. If you want to get in and out, she's not your manicurist. My other complaint was having to sit between her and another employee and listen to them talk back and forth over me. Not really a relaxing day at the salon. My friends go to Jena and have had better experiences. read more

Nashay is not mentioned in other yelp reviews so I didn't know better. The cut was not good and she did not make herself available to fix it. I think if you are not getting the expensive treatments you are not worth her time. I hope this isn't the universal feeling at this salon for the sake of all the regular women out there who don't mind paying well for nIce hair but also have no desire for different color hair every other week. But I've already moved on to someone better who appreciates my business. read more

Amanda is by far the best hairdresser I've ever been to. I have a crazy mop of curly hair that is almost to my rear. For the last year I've been getting the keratin express treatment to my hair. It tames my curls adds shine makes it super soft and so much easier to manage. It has turned hair that I've hated my whole life into hair I love. Amanda listens to me and always takes her time, it shows that she really loves what she does! The salon is adorable clean and inviting. The staff there are fun and I love the energy there. Long time yelp user, but never written a review before. I had to make an account to do it because I had such a wonderful experience at Sasee Salon! I've had long hair my whole life, the shortest I had ever cut it was below my shoulders. I got really into dying it fun colors but ended up irreparably damaging it in the process. I knew it had to go. I called Sasee after reading all the good reviews and Tara was very sweet on the phone and said she could squeeze me in for the next morning. I told her I wanted to cut it all off and she said she'd take a look at it. When I got there (20 minutes early, I was so nervous) I instantly felt comfortable and welcomed. The decor is very tasteful and the space is filled with tons of natural light. I paged through their magazines and found several pictures of what I was looking for, a drastic undercut with buzzed sides/back and length on top for my wavy hair to have some wiggle room. When Tara got there she was so nice and patient with me as I explained what I did and didn't want in obsessive detail. She combed out my snarls and talked me through the whole process, removing length gradually so I could change my mind if I wanted to. When she was done there was a huge pile of hair on the floor, and I couldn't believe my eyes! It's perfect! She really took the time to listen to what I wanted, and gave me exactly the cut I was looking for. I am so happy with it. Thank You, Tara! I will definitely be back!! read more

I went and saw Eden. She is the best. I asked her to color my hair red, (a natural red) and the color still looks amazing, (red is known to wash out). She did a great cut on my hair too. I wanted bangs and she cut them to a level that I was comfortable with. I will be going back very soon to see her. I won't go to anyone else. Thanks Eden. read more

Emily Fye is an Esthetician who does OUTSTANDING work placing eye lash extensions. She is such a perfectionist that she glues and places each eye lash at a time. Today I went to my eye doctor and he asked if my eye lashes were real. I said no, they were extensions. He studied them under his scope, commenting about the remarkable job she did making them look natural. No lumps, no clumps, no groups of lashes together He said he has seen hundreds of extensions over the years and this was by far the best job he has ever seen. As I was leaving he reviewed reminded it was a great visit and that my eye lashes scored an A+. I'm new to the extension world and have had them for about 6 weeks. I moved to Petaluma a few years ago from the city and haven't been successful finding a new hair stylist. A friend of mine suggested coming here. So, can I just say how amazing Amy is, she nailed the color I wanted on the first go around and from dark brown almost black hair to an amazing golden brown (that's hard to do). Bekki is my go to girl for my cut and color. Not only is she great with her talent, but her personality shines so much through her work and makes me feel so comfort ale and welcome. Bekki transformed my hair from brunette to blonde and has made it the most beautiful color I could ask for! I love seeing her every two months or so and getting to catch up while she works her magic. A friend referred me to Amy at Sasee, my first appointment was just OK. I am always early so I showed up 10 minutes early, Amy showed up 10 minutes late so I sat outside an empty salon for 20 minutes. My highlighting was fine but the cut was shorter than I would like, admittedly due to damage I caused with a curling iron. It was a few months before I needed a trim so I made another appointment with Amy, she could not get me in with my schedule for 3 weeks. I showed up for my second appointment and was told she was running 45 minutes behind, she asked if I could go run an errand and come back, that did not work for my schedule so we rescheduled for the following week. I show up early for my rescheduled appointment and I don't see Amy but there are 3 other stylists working, I sit down and wait 20 minutes before anyone asks me who I am there to see, when I say Amy they say she's not coming in today. One of the stylists offers to text her which she proceeds to do and Amy's reply is sorry, she meant to message me but she's sick. My experience with Amy & Sasee were the worst customer service I have experienced in a long time. Needless to say I will not be going back. read more
