My partner and I actually enjoy spending time together at the spa, so I always look for spas that offer common co-ed areas, and this one has several. They also have a gorgeous women's-only pool with an incredible view, in addition to shared amenities. There were so many amenities that I didn't even have time to experience all of them. The staff genuinely seems happy to be there, and it shows. Everyone we encountered was warm, welcoming, and eager to help. For my treatment, I had Kristin. I almost hesitate to mention her because I don't want everyone booking her and making it harder for me to get an appointment but she was absolutely phenomenal. I was so relaxed that I actually fell asleep during my service, which almost never happens. I sincerely hope they continue maintaining this level of service because they have something really special.

Overall a good massage but I had to ask her twice to decrease the pressure and she also didn't put an eye mask on me when I flipped onto my back, which was awkward. It was also freezing in the room and although she said she put it on warm, it never warmed up. I was ok on the warm table, but when I got up afterwards, it was still as freezing as when I got in. They recently did a renovation and the women's shower area is really nice with big individual frosted glass showers with a dry area in front of the shower so that your things don't get wet. Prior to our massages, we enjoyed the co-ed pool area which is for spa guests only, 18+. This was a relaxing area with several water features with different pressures that you could stand under. They also had two small pools to the left which was a cold plunge and a hot plunge (no jets). The views of the mountains were so relaxing and the waiter Daniel was highly available for you to order food and drinks if wanted. Then I went to the women's only area to shower. They offer the most amazing smelling salt scrub (complementary) that makes your skin so soft. Don't forget to grab a bowl! The attendants in the women's area were so helpful. In this area was also a steam room, sauna and an area to dump a bucket of cold water on yourself. They also had 3 heated beds that you can lay on for 10 minutes before your treatment. After the massage, you go in a co-ed sanctuary and lay on a bed with a weighted blanket with noise canceling headphones for 25 minutes. This bed also vibrates to the sounds you choose. One side of my headphones wasn't working unfortunately. After, this led into a co-ed lounge. The hot water maker was already put away (at 5:06pm when they close at 6pm) so I couldn't make myself a cup of tea afterwards - especially when I still felt freezing, which was really disappointing. I expected more for $295 - better snacks and tea available until closing time. I don't think that is a lot to ask for. With so many spas in the area, if ever back in Scottsdale, we don't plan to return.

The studio was absolutely beautiful, clean, cozy, and incredibly relaxing. The atmosphere made the entire appointment feel like a little self-care getaway. I was directed to Casey after looking for someone who can do eyelash extensions. I stumbled across Beauty Secrets and made an appointment to see Casey. She was very friendly and able to fix what the previous place did wrong with my extensions. Her prices are very reasonable and you definitely get more then what you pay for. I now get my extension fills with Casey as well as facials - both done to perfection. She takes her time and does not try to up sale you (as most salons will do). But after the time I spent with Jenn and the little things she has done with my eyebrows and eyelashes is quite amazing! Jenn is beyond the greatest. I also want to start this post by prefacing that I have been a long Brazilian wax girly. Years. I've been loyal to EWC for years as I loved my waxer but hated their "wax pass" speech every time I walked past the place. I just moved to the area and GWB was recommended to me. #1: They use soft wax for Brazilians. Absolutely not. Anyone in industry knows that hard wax is much better for Brazilians. Again, I have been having this service done since I was maybe 21 years old, I am now 32, I wanted to come off the table to slap her it hurt so badly. #2: If youre planning on relaxing at all during your service, rest assured, you won't. You have to help the waxer with your own service to pull your skin taut leaving your hands covered in wax.. or maybe you'll get lucky like me and your waxer will cover your finger in wax. #3: She broke so much of my hair, missed multiple spots, including my butthole, and burned me. I left the appointment slightly sore, which is very normal. It wasn't until later that night when I showered I realized I was swollen. I had strips on my vagina that were red, raised, blistered and swollen. I used some calming cream I've used for years thinking I'll go away in the morning and it didn't. I went on my trip with hair (which then caused me to shave over the wax job.. so you can guess how bad my ingrowns were) I'm not sure if this is how they're trained, what they're being taught.. I'm not sure but I won't be back, unfortunately. I'd much rather give my money to a small local business rather than a huge corp like EWC but I guess I'll continue to search.
