I could probably live off the food from Sassool for the rest of my life. I love this restaurant- it is extremely spacious with a mini grocery store inside, so much seating, and a giant menu of food to choose from and fresh sides in the window you can pick out. I often get the same few sides- fava bean salad and mjadarah (amazing rice and onion dish), with the chicken pasta or vegetable lasagna. It hits the spot EVERY time. Not to mention the food is so fresh, tastes homemade, and is healthy. There's a meal for every dietary preference here. The meals are also cheap and you can do pick 2/3/4 meals which allow you to try so many of the delicious sides. The service is nice and easy, and lines always go quick.

I ordered online and my food was fresh and ready to go! I waited all week to order the chicken and potatoes and it didn't disappoint!

Always delicious! There's always a long line and there's a reason -fresh, delicious food! We typically get the 4 side plates and kabobs. The homemade pita is so good, served warm right from the oven behind the cashiers. The sugar free cheesecake is very good, too. Kale salad, spanokopita, fruit salad, potatoes, it's all so good. Parking is a bit hectic on weekends, just a heads up.

Sassool checks all my boxes for a flavorful, nourishing Lebanese Mediterranean meal. I've heard high praises about their delicious meals and decided to order delivery this afternoon. The portions are generous and the meals are so nutritious and flavorful. I decided on the Pick 4 and chose the roasted beet salad, falafel, jalapeño cilantro hummus and Mediterranean chicken salad. I also ordered a chicken kabob with greens. The jalapeño cilantro hummus and pita was a hit for me. The roasted beet salad with mint leaves was so flavorful ! The falafel was tasty but could have been warmer. Everything was perfect and I have food leftover for tomorrow. I also ordered a cheesecake as a treat for later. I can't wait to try the rest of the menu.

I really liked the choice of creating my own tray and having different options to choose from.

My favorite Mediterranean place is Raleigh! The food here is delicious and fresh. Since you're reading this, Charlie's Kabob Grill is also amazing! But back to the review: I love the food here and the fresh baked pita bread! We usually get the kabob platter with kafta and steak (15.99) with two sides: tabouli and hummus. The platter comes with rice and some toum (garlic paste) but we like to order an extra one (try dipping the pita in the garlic paste!). We love the hot and fresh pita bread, right out of the oven. It can get very busy but usually it's quick service. You order at the counter, pay, get a number, get a table and they'll bring your food to your table. They also have a store with lots of Mediterranean ingredients and other foods.

Second time and the food was amazing! Fresh tasty. I would give more stars if I could. Chicken kabobs tender and juicy. Go and try they have many locations in the triangle

Food: 4 Service: 4 Ambience: 4 Date/Time: 10/15/2024 7pm Crowd: 1/2 full + lots of take-out orders Order: Chicken Kabob combo plate w/hummus & grape leaves Hadn't been here in awhile and it looks like they've picked a lot of fans since. It seems to be crowded most every time I come here! The little grocery area in the back left side is pretty well stocked and has quite a bit of a selection of items. The order line in the back right offers a wide selection of both cold & hot sides and main dishes from the display or the grill. As you make your way past the order counter, the desserts look awesome and tempting! The folks behind the order counter are all good and efficient as well as the pay counter. And don't forget to get your hot pita when you pay! Back toward the front when you enter, the 2 dining areas are to the immediate left and right, with a small area in the grocery area in back. The place is on the noisy side when it gets full (most of the time) but if you can get a table on the left side as you enter, it shields you a little bit. Definitely recommended!

We ordered the grape leaves, baklava, namoora and tabbouli. I am Lebanese and these are staples in our home. The grape leaves were extremely dry and tough. The rice was very undercooked and the leaves themselves were so dry and tough we could barely chew through them. We ordered 12 and thought maybe it was a fluke but all 12 were completely inedible and we threw them out immediately. The baklava was okay, nothing to write home about. Very simple syrup forward and you couldn't taste much else (we ordered the walnut). The namoora was stale. Very dry. Namoora should melt in your mouth with with a slight chew. This was again, tough and stale. We threw those out as well. Lastly, our favorite salad, tabbouli. The lemon taste was nonexistent. The parsley wasn't chopped fine as Tabbouli should be. It was a watery mess. Overall, we won't be back. We spent over $75 on 4 items and left feeling hungry and bamboozled. There are other Lebanese food spots to visit in the Raleigh area, I will stick to those. Please do better when representing Lebanese cuisine. 15 workers behind the counter can seem like you're doing something right but in the end, it all comes down to the freshness and authenticity of what you are claiming to serve.

Next we ordered the trio of all three spreads (Tzatziki, sun-dried tomato hummus, and spicy feta spread) and the calamari. Both dishes were excellent and I definitely prefer the spicy feta and tzatziki sauce. For my main course I ordered the Tomahawk Pork Chop (Chargrilled tomahawk chop, spinach, barrel-aged feta, herb aioli, Greek lemon potatoes) which was a bit disappointing. I probably should have sent the pork chop back as it was cooked well done and was very dry but was I was too hungry and didn't want to make my parents wait. For dessert I ordered Baklava Cheesecake (New York-style cheesecake with nuts and baklava filling) which was very nice and my mom ordered the Limoncello cake (lemon cake with lemon cream frosting) which was definitely the star of the show. If I'm back downtown I may try Taverna Agora again but will definitely avoid ordering the pork chop.

But what first appeared as a Lebanese "health food, vegan, vegetarian" restaurant even though they had some meat dishes -- turned into one of the favorite restaurants of my life! Their hummus, pitas (light and fluffy but not overy thick), hot sauce, shawarma, salads, kibi, lamb plate, soups (V9 rules) all became things I craved for the next twenty years. And the desserts! I think they made up for all the "healthy" stuff by having freshly made cakes to indulge after a good meal. Thank goodness they had franchises in Cleveland (where I visit my mother) -- when I had moved away from one I could get my fix there. But while in Columbus area, Dublin restaurant closed and I went to the one in Grandview quite a bit. I have been back in North Carolina for 12 years now.
