When he got to my design he initially messed up, but immediately noticed and fixed it I didn't even have to say anything! I was expecting to be there for an hour, but it maybe took 25 minutes very speedy but efficient!! It felt homey and like everyone was friends and everyone was super nice and easy to talk to. It also felt like it was okay to chat, but okay if I didn't want to either. Rather than other nail salons I always feel like I'm being talked bad about right in front of my face and hate that feeling.. Fantastic service, amazing people, and all for $45? I had two nails break within 24 hours of my original appointment, so I texted on Monday to ask if there was any availability to get them fixed that day. I was told there was an opening at 11:00 and was booked with my original nail tech. I even made it clear that if he wasn't available, I was completely fine with anyone else fixing the two broken nails. I arrived around 11:06, and when I walked in, I overheard one of the nail techs say that I was scheduled for 11:15, which was confusing because that was not the time I was given through text. I then sat and waited for about 30-40 minutes with absolutely no communication about the delay. I completely understand that salons get busy, and I would have been totally fine waiting 15-20 minutes if someone had simply communicated that to me. The frustrating part was being told I had an 11:00 appointment, then waiting 30-40 minutes for two broken nails to be fixed without anyone letting me know what was going on or how much longer it would be. I'm disappointed because I genuinely love this salon and have had great experiences here before. I just think communication could have made this situation much better. If you're running behind, please let your clients know instead of scheduling them for a time when they may end up waiting much longer. I had other plans today, and spending 40 minutes waiting without any explanation was frustrating.

When my artificial nails were removed at session Lily today I saw the 2 nail fungi. She told me I had bumped my finger and it was not a fungi!!!! I asked the nails not be replaced, allow my nails time to heal. She charged me for the cost for the removing the nails, did this very poor manicure. The first lady was adamant that I need something thicker than gel even though I told her I would like to grow them out and have them look much more natural and to please have them thin. So after she began working, they had to switch me over to someone else who proceeded to do dip nails. Then the new lady kept stopping for one thing or another. I was okay waiting for her to do someone's eyebrows. Shortly after she couldn't find a brush and took forever in the back. Then after continuing to do my nails, she decided that it was time to update some of their books (tracking who was doing what service). I'm very patient and really did not mind waiting even though it was getting slightly annoying. Once I could tell they were almost done, I noticed that the nails looked very, very thick after she was doing the final step...which was exactly what I was trying to avoid and so I asked politely if she could please file them down a bit more to make them thinner, and she said she couldn't file them down too much for some reason I couldn't understand. So I said I just want them to look more natural. So then she proceeds to be very aggressive for the rest of my time there, even when brushing off the dust. That was extremely unprofessional and rude! My nails turned out quite thick even after asking to thin them out. I'm generally easy to please, and don't ever complain or leave bad reviews, but I felt I had to after all that. To top it all off I was overcharged! I asked if she could add $10 to the $60 total so I could pay a tip. So she did put a $10 charge on there plus an additional $10 charge for acrylic removal even though I did not have acrylic begin with. When I asked if she added the $10 tip on there she said that they don't do tips on the machine and that I needed to pay cash for the tip. So I'm baffled as to what the extra $10 x 2 was for. I didn't want to make a scene and so I did end up paying another tip, but I probably shouldn't have at that point. I went in wanting thin natural gel colored nails which probably wouldn't have cost no more than $50 bucks and wound up paying over $100 after all was said and done. There's a manager that is there most of the time and everything seems to be running very smoothly each time. We get Manicures and Pedicures. Disposable pedicure bowl covers are used to prevent cross contamination. This is our 'Go To' salon. We have had many nail techs, but we both think Justin does an amazing job.
