I can speak to my own experiences of helping friends come to this place for guidance with taxes ... and then coming on my own for some advice. While I teach anatomy, physiology, nutrition, and other realms of sciences to do with human biochemistry and structure., I know very little about the machinations of state and federal taxes. Some of us have gotten caught in that machine for various reasons such as loan settlements ... or even from improperly paying for taxes because the Turbo tax software was too arcane (or not arcane enough) in its directions. In the case of loan settlements, an unexpected tax assessment of industrial proportions arrives in the mail. For the wealthier members of society who can turn to tax lawyers, things get worked out. For the rest of society in the lower half of the economic order, it's hard to find free or even reasonably priced advice. That actually means a lot of us like teachers as well as students. Who ya gonna turn to? Pam and Steve Constantine. Many people who don't understand taxes at all line up and get their taxes done for free ... some come here speaking limited English, but very literate Spanish, Cambodian. Laotian, and other languages. Those in serious trouble with the tax offices get industrial strength help from Steve for a reasonable rate. I'm lucky to have had an evening division student turn me on to the work of Pam and Steve. Word of mouth gets their names passed around a lot. I've steered people here and arrived here on my own behalf. The federal and state tax offices sometimes sends people to this center for advice. So enough said. You know why? It is because they will charge you based on the refund that you can get. If you get a high refund, they will overcharge you. If you don't get a refund or whenever you will pay Uncle Sam, they will still charge you that is higher than other tax preparers. Their services are too slow. It will take one month or more for a simple form to finish.

This is the third time that I've contacted Dawood Khan to contact the IRS on their mistake. And he…read morestill hasn't responded. All this company does is take your money and throw you aside. Dawood told me to contact the IRS and when I told him that since he's a third party and the mistake happened on their end they need to fix it. He hasn't responded and this company has until Monday to fix their error or I'm getting authorities involved. Last year I didn't get my full refund, when I asked Dawood Khan about it he said "call the irs." All this company does is make you pay and toss you aside like trash. They won't keep in touch with you to help you if you have questions. Which means they might be under qualified or just in it for the money instead of actually helping people.
