I got shrimp. Served in a bag with a shell opener, the food was freshly cooked. It was delicious and very flavorful! It comes with potatoes, corn, and sausage. I came on a Tuesday with a group of friends and ordered a Minnow Bag of half a pound of snow grab and shrimp ($20) and 10 wings ($13) with supahotfire and mozzarella and sweet garlic sauce. Food came out in about 30 minutes. The wings were alright, the batter was flavorful but still a little soft and not super crispy like most Korean wings. The garlic sauce was quite good, sweet and garlicky. The supahot was a bit spicy but not as bad as implied by the name. The seafood boil was quite solid, it was seasoned very well and I was glad to see they have the potato, corn, and sausage included with the bag instead of an added fee. The first drink my companion ordered, they said they couldn't make because they were out of tonic water. We came here as a group of 6 for a birthday celebration. They give you a free small bowl of crab soup when you are seated. The soup was really yummy and the perfect way to warm up on a cold night. It's downtown, around the corner of Lulu's. Warning...I highly recommend that you were comfy clothes (preferably one that has a lot of patterns) and/or clothes that you won't mind getting dirty. Upon arrival, you will need to walk up to the register/cashier to place your order. Once paid, you pick a table at where you want to sit down and don't forget to get the sauce containers from the mini fridge by the beverage machines. When your food is about to be ready, someone will come by and place a table cover (that's honestly how you know this place is legit!) My hubby and I ended up ordering a side of the gumbo soup, 1 soft shell crab, and the Spicy Sharks Bucket #1 (which comes with Crawfish, shrimp, mussels, clams, corn, sausages, and potatoes). At first, the bucket comes up with a steamed bag. Once you open it...OMG, the scent of it just hits you. Not only will the (delicious) smell get to you, but the first taste of whatever you desire hits your tongue....just gets your mouth watering. We got the spicy bucket and let me tell you...that was just the right amount of spiciness. I honestly felt like I was back in New Orleans eating their seafood. The seasoning and sauce that it came in was impeccable (and I never say that) and just sooooooooooooooooo good! You're also given a bib to cover your shirt when you're trying to crack open the crawfish and pulling the clams/mussels out of the bucket (you will need to use it!) I even dipped part of my fried soft shell crab in the sauce to continue the flavor party that was going on in my mouth- haha. Soft shell crab was delicious btw. The gumbo soup was only okay, not really missing out on anything if you end up trying it. I'm going to be completely honest and admit that I will probably never try anything else there except for the buckets from here on out. S&T is a dope addition to the downtown Richmond area. The interior looks like the owners grabbed a crawfish boil festival from New Orleans and set it inside of a restaurant with an adjacent bar and incredible beer selection. As I was dining in, multiple parties from singles to a group of 8+ heads rolled up their sleeves and left full and happy. I believe I ordered bucket 1 for myself, which I struggled to finish solo and had to tag team in another friend who showed up later. The other three of my buddies were less ambitious and split one bucket among themselves. I was able to try the fries and gumbo as well, both of which I HIGHLY recommend to chase your handfuls of seafood and gulps of brew. The family in charge has always treated me and my friends well. Though S&T does not exactly stack up to the Hot N Juicy franchise or Chasin Tails in Northern Virginia, it definitely gives you a bang for your buck. read more

You go up to the register and order what you'd like, and then seat yourself. Before your order comes out, one of the employees comes out and places paper all on your table. When they bring out your order, they bring you plates, a shell bucket, and bibs (super cute!). I personally think the best deal is getting a lb of whatever protein you'd like, rather than getting the buckets. I got a lb of shrimp, and it came with potatoes, sausage, and a piece of corn. You get to choose the level of spiciness (medium, spicy, extra spicy). I opted for spicy, and man did it have a kick. I would give S&T a 3.5 star rating. I was rather disappointed after seeing all of these 5 star reviews from other Yelpers and it was being compared to Chasin' Tails and Hot N Juicy in DC. Perhaps they were having an off night? The restaurant itself reminded me of a seafood marketplace you'd find in Boston - there are about 10-12 picnics tables that can seat about 6 people. There is a "mini" bar as well that seats about 4 people and they have some draft beers in stock. In the back of the restaurant, you will find on the left a wall of refrigerators where they store different bottles of beer for purchase. You place your order at the cash register in the back of the restaurant and find your own seat at one of the picnic tables. They are having a special at the moment where you get a free beer if you purchase a bucket. My friends and I ordered different types of seafood but all of them were prepared with the same seasoning - "spicy". Bucket #1 - this didn't have enough garlic flavor and was very salty; it was not spicy at all. Bucket #2 - this also didn't have enough garlic flavor and was very salty; the meat in the snow crab legs were mushy; it was not spicy at all. A bag of crawfish - this had way too much garlic flavor and was also very salty; it was not spicy at all. The guy at the counter gave us two flavor choices - mild or spicy. We all picked spicy but apparently (based on other Yelp reviews), there is a third option - extra spicy. Perhaps we should have went with this to get the kick we wanted?) Are there different seasonings for the different buckets or is it supposed to be the same? Because it wasn't consistent. We also ordered some sides to share: Chicken wings - We're really glad we ordered this. These had all the right flavors (spicy, sweet & sour) and reminded me of the wings from 88 Garden. Potato Salad - This was pretty good - they had homemade old bay seasoning that was sprinkled on top of the salad. The only weird thing about this was that the potato salad was a bit sweet and I was thinking it was going to be savory. It reminded me of the potato salad you'd get as a side dish at a Korean restaurant. Fried Catfish - This was also very good; it came out piping out, was very fresh and came with a side of fries and coleslaw. The tartar sauce was a bit different than what I'm used to, but it's not a bad thing! Overall the service was great and the person ringing us up with very helpful in answering our questions. I had heard only good things about this place and so I decided to try it out. Lol i was relieved that it lived up to the hype. It was first off a better deal than i expected--8 dollars for a seafood roll (sayonara Chipotle). I went post-dinner rush so they were almost sold out of the crab, and the owners were nice enough to put the remaining crab in a seafood roll for me. The actual seafood (+crab) was very fresh, and didn't have too much sauce, so it was great. But what I wasn't expecting was how good the roll itself would be. Instead of being just a placeholder for the filling, the roll itself was essentially cheesy garlic bread, proportioned just well enough that you don't get tired of eating the entire thing.
