I am a regular customer and I highly recommend this bar. Great service, the best wine and the food is also great. I also highly recommend that the guy who works in the kitchen shaving meat smoke some good sativa. Maybe if he did maybe he wouldn't be violently rude to people who may not be perfect and forget their mask when they go to the loo but are doing their best to be a good, considerate person who watches out for their fellow humans on a daily basis. Cool spot if you are in the backyard. Wine and food was fine but people that work here are super rude. Service is also super slow. Please don't give your customer attitude for not liking your selection of wine you picked out. Also, trying to get the check should not take 30 minutes... After making a positive review on here for them, about how cute the backyard was and the wine selection, I checked my visa and noticed I was charged twice. I emailed them, it bounced back. I dmed them on Instagram and they said they would look into it and I kept following up and there was no response. They would read my msg and no response. Despite how trendy Sauced is, I left feeling disappointed. We arrived around 9P and were told there was no availability for an undisclosed amount of time. We walked by about 30 minutes later, saw people lining up, and got in shortly after that. The system for ordering wine needs work. You basically go up to a table in the middle of the inside where the walkway is, tell the servers what kind of wine you like as there is no menu, and then take what they give you. No prices or options are listed. It's way too noisy to really go back and forth, so I felt like I just had to take what was offered. People were also cutting line as there is really no organized line area, which added to frustration. Despite the line, servers were also walking off in the middle of serving to go do other tasks, causing even more buildup. I guess they also let too many people in, because there was nowhere to sit or hardly anywhere to stand. We ended up hunched together near a wall yelling back and forth due to the noise. The whole place is pretty narrow, so even standing around is challenging without feeling like you're in everyone's way. I imagine it's a nicer experience due off-peak hours, but I don't think the "personalized" wine concept really works with this space/noise level/lack of organization. This is the most unfortunate review I've had to write. Please be warned that the otherwise pleasant atmosphere and the vibe are ruined by awful customer service and a complete lack of price transparency. When asked if I could browse their menu/ wine list I was rudely told that they don't have a menu because "we have over two hundred bottles of wine." I've been to restaurants with over a thousand bottles and they manage to fit them in a cohesive menu. Seems to be the bare minimum when you run a wine bar, no? This would have only been a minor inconvenience if the waiter wasn't arrogant and rude and made us feel completely ignorant when trying to order a bottle. Sorry, not everyone that walks in is a Sommelier. The worst part has to be the complete lack of price transparency. Because we weren't given a menu we had to go off of the waiter's recommendation and before we could ask about the price he had come back with an open bottle and started serving us. It was only when I settle the bill that I realized I had been given one of their most expensive bottles. To be completely honest this felt like a ploy: "It's a slow night, let's target the unassuming customer and charge them for one of our most expensive bottles." This place is not POC-friendly. My friends and I were ignored every time we tried to place an order with preference being given to white customers who weren't even trying to order anything. Food and wine are also nothing to rave about -- we ordered the charcuterie which was a few pieces of salami and cheese on a Target plate lol. A great concept but did not feel seen here whatsoever, I had to stare at the servers for a few minutes to get there attention. They were not attentive whatsoever and one of the gentleman who served me did a good job of explaining the concept and served me a few options which I then picked and later when my friend joined me, again, I had to wait over five minutes to get someone's attention and he did not share the origins of the wines we were trying and was rushing to not serve us, not sure if it was because we were on the few customers who looked visibly different or what. Really poor service and for that it's way overpriced. The servers and managers are incredibly rude and treat the guests like a nuisance. They were not only inattentive and slow but also made us feel unwelcome. Go somewhere else. Plenty of nice wine bars in the neighborhood that actually treat customers with respect. read more

Reco'd by a friend. Came here with my partner last night and sat in their backyard (which was super cute). Great atmosphere, and good apps but the real standout was our waiter Benjamin. Some of the best service I've received in a long time. He was knowledgable, attentive and made great suggestions especially The Sancerre which we loved. He really went above and beyond and I'd highly recommend a visit and to ask for Ben next time you do! Will definitely be back. read more

Wine is great but they don't know how to run a restaurant. They were packed and then tried to manage crowds after people were being served. People would start fighting for tables, security guards yell at patrons for sitting in at an area that is "too" full. Music is too loud and can't hear my friends conversation only a few inches away. It seems the "servers" would only serve certain tables and not check in on everyone. When I walked up for a glass of wine they serve was not friendly. There is no menu and no way to know what you're drinking. Also they allow dogs which is not sanitary. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Biggest lesson for the place would be that good wine doesn't matter if there is no comfortable place to enjoy it. read more

This place might be fine during the week, but it was awful on a Friday night. The gimmick is that there's no wine list - you tell the bartender what you like, and they bring you something. That sounds fun if the place isn't crowded and the bartender can give you a few things to try. I went on a Friday night, though, and it was PACKED. It took 10 min to get the bartender's attention, so I just took whatever the 1st thing was that he poured. It was fine, nothing special. Never go here on a Friday or Saturday! read more

My friend and I had the chance to visit sauced while looking for a spot to grab a bite to eat and enjoy a glass of wine. We walked past this place and decided to give it a chance! We didn't make a reservation but were able to find a table inside close to the entrance. They've got a very extensive selection of wine and how they let people pick is by you telling the waiter what types of notes you like and the price range - then they bring you something they think you'd like. Interesting but my friend didn't like his first selection so be sure to give them more information than not. When it came time for food we decided to do the cheeseboard as well as the focaccia bread. The bread was extremely tasty and the cheeseboard was a bit small but didn't disappoint. Overall this was a nice place for a chill glass of wine or a relaxing date night. They've got a huge outdoor area in the back that is good for groups as well. read more

What a horrible experience. Was brought here by a regular customer to an empty bar. The employee who served us off the bat was horrible and it didn't get any better throughout, interactions getting more unpleasant by the minute. Probably the rudest set of interactions I have ever experienced whilst being served. We gave him a shot to make it right and I do understand some wine bars can be slightly 'pretentious', however this was taken to another level. This server knows what he did, we spoke out with out concerns of his treatment. The bar owners should have a really hard look at this staff member. Cute wine bar in Williamsburg! I came here for drinks with a friend 2 months ago and will definitely be back again! They don't take reservations but luckily when I got there they had some open tables out front. They also have a really cute back patio with lights, family style tables as well as regular tables and high tops and wooden steps you can sit on with pillows and blankets surrounding a beautiful tree in the center. I asked our waitress if we could sit in the back and she let me know there was a wait but she could seat me in the front outdoor space and when a spot opens up she could move us to the back. Before we were halfway through our first glass our waitress let us know we could go to the back area. We also had to order food due to COVID and ordered the steak. We weren't expecting the steak to be that good since it was a wine bar but we were wrong. The steak was great and exceeded our expectations! Overall I had a great experience here and definitely recommend going and sitting in the back patio area. It's a great place to get together with some friends or a date! read more

Was wandering around Bedford in this new normal dystopia and this place beckoned. Maybe it was the lanky chef with a tea towel tied around his noggin maybe it was the host with blue hair maybe it was the 2 Negronis I already had. We sat in a delightful backyard oasis with about 10 other people. Not overcrowded at all, obviously they're keeping the occupancy down. There's no wine list which is annoying but also who cares I never know what half those words mean anyway. We had a salty golden white from Jura which was really the color of a morning piss but was perfectly savory and followed that up with the best goddamn shisito peppers with like bonito flakes I think. And then a grilled cheese because I needed to lay a base down the night was young. Anyone complaining out vegan options or not being seated fast enough or not having their hair held back while they topple over a wine list is missing the point entirely. I'm so happy to have this wine bar in my neighborhood! The outside patio is a beautiful, relaxing, welcoming space! It's a great place to meet friends for drinks during COVID because it's a large outdoor area with comfortable seats, pillows, and even a hammock chair!
