San Daniele Italian Eatery & Bar in Coppell is delizioso! Definitely a warm and welcoming space to come with your loved ones to enjoy local delights! What we ordered: - Rigatoni alla Vodka - Buffalo Chicken Flatbread (Chef's Special) - Brussel Sprouts - Chicken Parmagiano - Tiramisu Martini

My husband and I found this spot and it's super cute and family friendly. Definitely come for the pizza. The ingredients are definitely fresh and the under carriage was cooked correctly. As NYers, we love a good pizza. We also got the calamari and the rigatoni but the pizza was definitely the winner for dinner. We got seated fast and we had a great waiter, he recommended the pizza. It's definitely family friendly and clean. I gave it a 4 because I wasn't impressed with the pasta and the calamari

Friday night wait list wasn't so bad. About 15 minutes at around 7pm. Service was fantastic upon arrival. The young ladies (hostesses) were very polite and friendly, much appreciated. Once we were seated out waiter was such an attentive person. Our drinks were always filled without needing to ask for them to be filled. He allowed us to enjoy our appetizer before asking for our food order. He kindly suggested the night special (which we had) over all the service was a five star experience. Ambiance: great over all vibe, I saw all source of crowds that had a mixture of ages. Noise level (medium) was caused by the groups of people who were enjoying a Good Friday Night of laughter and conversations. It did not bother me one bit as I was still able to enjoy my families conversations with no problem. Yes their bar area is a bit louder but meh it's a bar! Food: outstanding! The pizza was soooo good, highly recommend if you're not too hungry. Calamari, dessert tiramisu and crème brûlée was delicious! Hands down our new favorite local place. We are new to the state of Texas and we were excited about finding this gem!

I made it out to San Daniele to enjoy happy hour on their patio. The experience was a mixed bag. I walked in and stood at the desk...and stood there. There weren't many patrons inside, but the patio was occupied. It took so long, a woman who did NOT work there but was eating inside, asked me if I had been helped, and then flagged someone down. The service was not great. The meatballs I ordered were tasty but I wish came out hotter. The sauce was delicious. Not sweet, and flavorful. The whipped ricotta was dressed with salt, pepper, and olive oil and was VERY salty. The bread that came with it was a big disappointment. It was not fresh. It was soft and chewy and it just didn't taste good. Such a disappointment. The table next to me ordered pizza and it looked and smelled amazing. It could have been an off day with a new server. I may come try them again and go for the pizza, but I am not going to go out of my way.

Meatballs and homemade kinda like deep dish pizza bread with whipped ricotta so so good.

The food was absolutely delicious. We lived every dish. I would say they have the best calamari I've ever had. The service was impeccable and the place was super clean. I didnt get to take pics but here's some of what we had.

There are not very many quality food places in Coppell but this place is the exception. Ordered a pepperoni pizza and florencia salad for take out. The pizza has crispy undercarriage and is very flavorful. The salad is huge and they are very generous with the toppings. Overall I'd come back to try more items.

My favorite Italian Restaurant in Coppell, Tx. Their pizzas flavor is great! Share the pasta with vodka, Italian chopped salad and NY steak - this is for 4 people. Careful with desserts - are delicious and big! You're welcome!

What their chopped salad used to look like
    Diane A.

Have had previous good experiences here. Don't know what's up with their chopped salad, but I got TWO of them tonight which were NOT CHOPPED. The first one was large leaves of lettuce. I asked for it to be chopped, and was then brought one with shredded lettuce, but not chopped. The other ingredients weren't chopped, either. The whole reason I came there was to enjoy the melded flavors of a chopped salad. Originally, I had asked if it was possible to get it without the olives, or whether it was pre-made. Was told they could make it without olives. Is it really so hard to chop it up? Otherwise, I would have just accepted the pre-made version with olives. Things have improved since my previous review below, with attentive staff and the noise problem has been made better (with 4 star worthy experiences). I've been there many times, and will give them another chance. In the future, I'll make it clear that I want my chopped salad to really be chopped, and change my review if they get it right!

Wanted to eat and support local restaurants. Craving for pasta so, wife and kids came to try this place. Excellent service, foods were delicious. Coppell's tax is high causing the foods to be a bit pricey, my opinion. Good foods and good service, can't beat that!

5 stars for this place??? Come on, I almost gave it 2 but decided to be nice and landed on 3. So here's how it went down: We show up on a Friday night, ready for what we hoped would be an epic dinner. But right away, the two hostesses seemed like they were fresh out of Clueless 101. There's this sign above them that says "Short Rib Ravioli" with "Lasagna" indented underneath it. Naturally, I asked the obvious question: "Is it 1 or 2 separate entrées?" You know, like, are we talking about raviolis in a lasagna, or two separate dishes? The one gal looks at me and says, "Yes." Helpful, right? Given that it's SUPER LOUD in there, I thought maybe she misunderstood me. So, like a fool, I asked again--and guess what? Got the same answer. Brilliant. At that point, I gave up, handed over my cell number to be notified when our table was ready, and headed to the bar. Now, the bar... oh boy. It's a whole other level of chaos. The sweaty bartender eventually took our order after we practically had to scream it at him over the noise. My martini? Only 2/3 full and tasted like watered-down regret--for $10. About 15 minutes later, I get a text: "You have reached the front of the waitlist at San Daniele Eatery and Bar, please head over to the restaurant..." So, does that mean our table is ready or...? We weren't sure if we were supposed to wait for a "your table is ready" text or go to the hostess stand, so I decided to just check in with them. Turns out the table was ready, but when I tried to politely suggest that their texts are a bit confusing, the hostesses just stared at me like I was speaking Klingon. Luckily, another gal--maybe a manager?--acknowledged the confusion and said they'd change the text (which I 1000% do NOT believe). Meanwhile, my man is paying the bar tab, and we get seated at a table for four... but only two chairs and two sets of silverware, even though we were on the waitlist for three. We ended up scavenging a chair and a place setting from another table like we were on some sort of scavenger hunt. Hubby and our friend order a beer each and then had to flag down our waiter 10 minutes later to ask what happened to them. Hubby and I decided to split a Caesar salad and lasagna, making it clear we wanted them to come out together. Naturally, they bring out the salad first. Then the lasagna arrives, and it's barely warm. Seriously, this place was beyond frustrating. The final kick in the teeth. The bill comes on an electronic pad and the preset choices for tip START at 20%, then 25% and 30% - with 25% being highlighted. COME ON NOW!! - start it at 17% might be reasonable. Of course they have the "select another amount" button, but to start at 20% for this place is insult to injury. I was so excited to try it, but it ended up being a total letdown. I do NOT recommend it. Save yourself the headache. I am still on the hunt for delish Italian near Irving.

    Seafood pasta
    Salman Z.

I love seafood pasta so was glad it was served here as well. Unlike other places, this wasn't made with red sauce. Instead it was made in a yellow creole cream sauce. Wife got the fig pizza without spek, which was also delicious. The only critique she had was that the sweet wasn't balanced well with the savory. Possibly because we didn't order the spek - we don't eat pork. Service was stellar. Our server was kind and checked in on us periodically without being incessant.

    Margherita Pizza

I started with bread and it wasn't very good. The meatballs were definitely heated up in a microwave. The pizza is definitely the best thing they've got. Absolutely delicious! The pasta was mid. The food did come out fast which is always nice.

We love a good Happy Hour, so we grabbed a hightop by the bar and ordered a couple of drinks. I got the cosmo, complete with tiny ice crystals on top, which is my favorite. My boulevardier was spot on, and then I shared a smoked Old Fashioned with my friend that was just... exquisite. Smooth, balanced, and a little dramatic in the best way. Food held its own. The chicken and waffles were delicious, the chopped chicken salad was fresh and satisfying, and my friend's Reuben got a lot of love from her side of the table. And then came dessert. We shared the Whiskey Cake with praline ice cream, and let's just say, it lives up to the name. Decadent, rich, and absolutely worth it. Service was really good. Attentive without hovering, and thoughtful in those small ways that stand out. At one point, our server split the Old Fashioned for us without us even asking. That kind of anticipation earns points. I made my reservation on Resy. A couple of days later I get a call from the restaurant saying they needed a $25 deposit over the phone, in case we cancel. I have dined at a lot of restaurants but never have I made a deposit upfront, they would just have a card on file and charge it if there is a no show. The lady on the phone (Chelsea) said we would only have 90 minutes at our table, which is standard for most restaurants. Nevertheless we paid $25 and kept our reservation, since Valentine's Day is busy time I figured this was the reason for all of this. Upon our arrival we were seated right away, and as soon as we sat down the hostess let us know that they would need our table by 5:45pm, because that is when the next reservation would be there. Right off the bat I felt rushed. I hated the table we were sat in, because we were so close in proximity to other people. Tycoon is very pretty inside, but if you are not seated in one of their spacious booths, the other tables are so close together, you will definitely hear other people's conversations. Let's talk about the food, I ordered the Lavender Lemonade as my cocktail and that was really good. For our appetizer we had the Deviled eggs, and I was excited because I love Deviled Eggs, but these were just okay. I didn't love how over stuffed they were, I just felt like it was too much. For my entree I had the Chicken Parmesan which I thoroughly enjoyed. I thought my meal was flavorful and the pasta was perfectly cooked. My husband had the sea bass and he loved his food. To end the night we shared their Dessert Trio and that was delicious, aside from the Creme Brûlée because that had no taste. Their service was good. Our waiter was nice and attentive. I definitely didn't feel rushed by him, but the same hostess stood near waiting for me to take my last bite of pasta so she could take the plate from the table. We were watching the time the whole time to make sure we got out of there on time. Overall I was disappointed. I get that Valentine's Day is busy day for restaurants but I don't want to be rushed through a dinner that should be enjoyable.
